So, my friends and I are looking to hit a game in the SEC this year, We would like to either hit Ole Miss or LSU. Any of you guys been to either for a game? We are not really looking to go into the stadium, just going to party. First of all, does anyone know where you can fly into? We would be departing from Omaha.

Are you referring to Buckeye Planet? I've gone through stages of grief for them and amazement at them. There are some realists over there, but they're being shouted down by the scarlet-glassed homers. Everyone is out to get them, they're being persecuted, etc etc etc. The guys blaming their own coach and players are few and far between. I am not sure which site it was. It was just funny to see how crazy they get. I guess the same thing would happen here though, with posters freaking out on each other, attacking the media guys (of course) and so on.

Wow, reading more and more from those OSU boards is getting sad. They now hate Spielman as much as they hate Herbie. They think that nothing else will happen to them and they seem to think that the NCAA is out to get them. Well, yeah, they are, not cause they don't like you but because your idiot coach kept lying and lying, so now they want the truth.

I have not looked at them and I don't know any of the sites and I probably wont try and find them because I am on summer break!!! But, what do OSU posters think of Bo's name being tossed around. I know that there are so V-bags over on some of the Husker "fan" sites (I use that term loosley because it is clear that some posters on HI or Huskersonline are not husker fans) that think Bo could never get another job anywhere but they already have Chris Pederson from BSU lined up as the next NU coach. 1. When people say things like "He should not be a quitter" it makes my roll my eyes. What if you take a job and it turns out to be terrible, do you stay there until the day you die? Don't answer it, you don't need to. 2. He was never going to play, unless of injury. 3. To all the "insiders" on certain boards that lurk here a bit, THERE WAS NO CONSPIRACY, you know why Green did not play more? 'Cause he was not better then other guys. 4. You need to take care of yourself first, he felt it was best for him to try another place.

There is a class at Stanford, the teacher created it, it is a class where you work with a partner to work on designing and creating apps for phones. Well, so far, lots of the students in the class have done very well for themselves, leading a few to drop of of Stanford to work on apps full time or work for companies that hired them or sold the company they started and are working on new app designs. They LEFT Stanford! My point is, take the money when you have the chance. His "app" is his baseball. Take the money now. If you worked on something and designed something cool that people wanted and you had to leave school, not go to school, quit your current job, wouldnt most of you do it? If the guys who started this board were getting 25 cents a day from each poster plus lets say, 15,000 a month in AD revune, wouldnt they take it and leave their current job?

So, most of my posts are terrible, I think we can all agree on that, so lets post another one. How do you treat husker game day? Do you drink right away, hit the bars, multiple bars, go to the game, go to T-gate, invite people over, go to other peoples houses? Is there a game where you get stuck going to a lame place? Just interested. I USUALLY end up at bars in Omaha, fo you Omaha people it would be Loose Moose or Tanners, I watched a game at Lit and Cigarros once. Or I go to the game and usually party down there but I really don't know people that have their own parking spots so I just hit the bars. Inviting people over I do a maybe once a year and going to peoples house to watch I almost never do.

I am going to play the total sarcastic jerk card here for Enhance. (just so you know I am totalyl kidding aroudn) But did you hear that you can go to college anytime you want??? Cash your lotto ticket now, go to college in 3 years if it doesnt work.

High school offenses are not what they used to be. Good programs get the chance to work with kids pretty much year round. I was on a staff where PE class turned into our Bigger-Faster-Stronger class and 3 days a week, during the "off season" we met in the morning to run through formations and plays for about 40 minutes before school. That was year round, well, we took off from the end of the season until Feb. So I guess we took two months off. The key was putting in formations. Most coaches will tell you that its not the routes or the play call it is the formations that are a pain to deal with and to teach.

That sure sounds a lot like HI. There lots of very good posters there too but there's an extremely hardcore anti Bo/TO veteran bunch that are relentless. Thank goodness for HB! We have a winner! I can pretty much tell you which poster it was from HI

The biggest problem is getting more girls to T-gate for those 11am games!

Just curious, who likes them and why and who dislikes them and why? I personally do not care for them because I either miss the start due to my own teams Saturday obligations. It is also tough to party for them. I know some people like them because it gives them a chance to get home sooner, if they have a longer drive.

Ummm you know that in baseball you get paid every penny of your contract, no matter what happens, right? Football, not so much.

Sometimes these guys just get listed wrong. Call goes into a coach and the coach goes "well he is really more of a pass first kind of QB" then BAM you are a pro-style QB, his is tall too, so that plays into it. Now, I can tell you just from coaching for awhile that I dont really know of any high school (clearly I dont know or see them all) that uses just a pro-style QB anymore.

Can anyone explain how this works? I tried to find it on here but couldnt. So how does a poster get a good or bad reputation, when it comes to the "points" they get? I just have not seen that on other boards.

That is a fair question. Here is my answer, if I had a friend with a winning lotto ticket and he decided to drive to the lotto office with it with it hanging out the window up against his hand, daring something bad to happen, I would think he was a moron. Assuming nothing happend and he cashed it, I would still think he was a moron but we would sit around laughing about it, while he was rich. So, the same goes for this situation, I will think its a bad call but if he comes to NU then I hope that I hope it all works out really well for him so that I can laugh about it later. "Man, remember when I thought he should have went and played baseball right away, I was totally wrong". I would ask you now, what will you say (assuming you want him to pass up the millions) if he comes to NU and either never lives up to the hype and doesnt get drafted in either sport later on or gets hurt and can't play. What would you say then?

Suh's family thought the opposite. And the minor league baseball life is sooo attractive - ask Michael Jordan There is a difference, Suh had one year to go, 13 games. This kid would have 3-4 years to go if he doesnt take the money now.

EZ, you are totally right. The "freak out kings" on the other sites think that most of this staff just sits around and wont talk to the kids. I appreciate your posts EZ, you seem to have a good grasp on things and a good understanding.
