  1. where's the d line? where's helu? where's lee? it sounds totally different than last year.
  2. turner will probably play cb or safety. i think he knows that. most schools weren't recruiting him for qb. Whats that look for????? he can facepalm all he wants. it's true.

  4. brown 14 carries, 45 yards and just caught a touchdown. green has about 67 yards and 2 touchdowns. right now, green has looked a lot better than brown. brown hasn't gotten any holes but he also hasn't made any plays. green's second touchdown was nice. went one direction, got in trouble, reversed and reversed again from about 25-30 yards out. from this one game it certainly looks like green is a much shiftier runner than brown. but it's only one game.

  6. i don't ever want to blast a husker but the rumors were that he failed two drug tests at washington and that he had a very, VERY bad attitude toward teammates and coaches. i'm sure i'll get blasted for this but i'm sure bo will not take any sh-t from him.
  7. i do not want to smear an innocent kid but i am pretty sure he is the linebacker that has been arrested several times recently.
  8. as huskerscott mentioned he was at the indy 500. my buddy just showed me pictures today that he got taken with suh. in the 5 minutes he was with him in one of the boxes, he said suh was funny and down to earth and very likeable. and my buddy is not even a college football fan.
  9. this kind of thing is great for recruiting and (not that we need it) program prestige.
  10. anybody else surprised that compton is ahead of david?

  12. i love both sites. huskerboard has much, MUCH better boards. huskerpedia is great in that max has all the links to stories so that when i only have 2 minutes i can get on and see if anything big is going on. max runs a superb website.
  13. all that being said, i'm sure the huskers will/could win the wku game 77-0 if they wanted to. but it is good to see that wku will get a nice check and some good experiences out of coming to lincoln in order to help build the program.
  14. as a WKU alum (and lifetime husker fan) and hilltopperhaven poster, i can assure you that most of those guys are pretty cool. one thing that you have to remember is that western has had a successful d-1aa team in the past but are now trying to assimilate into d-1a. and so far it hasn't been too successful. it remains to be seen if wku can hang with some of the schools in their conference, much less the big boys like nebraska. also, to counterpoint some of the posters in this thread: -WKU is not a small school, not a big school. there are around 21,000 students -only one guy on there likes colorado. -western is a basketball school first and foremost. while not on the "big boy" radar, they do have one of the more decorated programs historically. i have seen several historical rankings and wku usually is in the #18-25 area. -western is already recruiting with the big boys in football. almost getting carnes from nebraska is a big accomplishment. also, they had the highest ranked recruiting class in their conference, albeit filled with 2 and 3 star players. they also have a young, black head coach who played quarterback at the school. this will help in pulling kids out of other areas to come play at wku. -mammoth cave (and the other caves in the region) are great. bowling green is an awesome town and the surrounding areas are some of the most scenic in the midwest/country.
  15. i agree. i am sure he's a very good player but there were times when the trailing blocker was slowing up so as not to run into him. also, most highlight films from these players are more than just 15-20 yard runs.
  16. also, the offensive or defensive system that a player goes into has a big impact on his future, whether as a star in college or draftability.
  17. haven't read the entire thread to see if someone answered you but the guy is john chiles. i think he is a wide receiver now.
  18. that guy nailed the first team. i think i would have put the exact same players on it.

  20. i just used my crystal ball and have seen that colt mccoy will win off poy and suh will win def poy.
  21. the bettors are upset at the touchdown, not the xtra point. the line was 11.5.
