  1. I for one like the way Pelini responds to the media after a loss and have no pity for them whatsoever. Especially when they whine about it on sports talk radio. Get over it. I can relate to Pelini's attitude and I understand. I think he's a great coach.
  2. The real reason for the offensive struggles are not one thing. They are a culmination of things. Offesnive Line: D- Quarterback D Receivers D Offesnive Coaching D Penalites F (F for the legit penalties and F for the Refs) Fundamental Execution on Offense F Along with injuries, motivation and attitude. Those are the true reasonS ..
  3. All of them have to shoulder some of the blame as well as the players, but primarily I blame Watson. Not just because of Billy C, but because he is ultimately responsible for the offense. Bo is willing to accept it on his own shoulders. Watson should be too.
  4. You know whats stupid..? A Junior quarterback as nervous and hesitant as a virgin on prom night. Offensive plays from an "offensive master" that can be predicted by the fans in the stands so well that they call it out before it happens again and again.. (Saw it Saturday!) An offensive line that collapses and makes high school fundamental mistakes against a very mediocre Big XII defense. Receivers who catch about as well as my deceased grandmother. Receivers and Offensive linemen who stand saying duuuhhhhhhh, holding their jocks in one hand a waving with the other while the opponet runs an incomplete backward pass 82 yards back for a touchdown. Primarily I blame the offensive coaches for the lack of fundamental discipline on this team. It is their primary responsibility to prepare these players to execute. While the players made the mistakes on the field the coaches get the heat. Thats the way it goes.. If you think it's stupid , tough! WE NEED TO CUT THE LAST TIE TO THAT TRAVESHAMOCKEY THAT WAS THE CALLAHAN ADMINSTRATION AND GET ON WITH REBUILDING THIS PROGRAM!
  5. Iowa State Receiver Jake Williams. Robb from Ghost Hunters International
  6. I was sitting in section 7 of the East stadium and the boos from that section were directed at Zac Lee after a pi$$ poor series with poor decisions on his part.. It wasn't just the officials getting booed. Booing happens. If you play poorly, expect it.
  7. I've got news for you. There were boos in that football game.In my opinion some of those boos were earned, especially by the referees. In my section I witnessed no less than three different groups of fans arguing and bickering with each other, one of which nearly came to blows.. That was the mood of the game. the boos were not just for the referee, they were for the offense as well. Most of the time the fans were sitting on their hands, even on the first defensive series I saw a guy tug on the guy in front of him to ask him to SIT DOWN because poor baby coudln't see.... I was appalled and outraged by that.. I said in earshot.. You people want to sit down on the first drive. NO WONDER this place doesn't intimidate Sun Belt teams.. we want to sit down on 3rd and 4th down.. we don't want to make noise.. We want to bitch at each other and bicker instead of putting it into the game. The greatness of husker fandom is "gravititating toward mediocrity" and I saw it Saturday.. I can only hope that at least that starts making it a mean atmosphre and a scary place for opposing teams instead of an unpleasant place to watch a game.
  8. So to keep this simple and avoid much more debate.. (ha, yeah right..) When judging overall talent including head for the game, decision making capabilities, and athletic talent. Who should Nebraska start against Iowa State ?
  9. Cody Green. Without a doubt. He shows the following Confidence, determination, accuracy, strong arm, short memory, not intimidated, big play swagger, agility, sure handedness, the ability to keep making plays while facing adversity, footwork, speed, elusiveness. It's time that we stop talking about Mr. Green as the future of Nebraska and make him the PRESENT. As far as I'm concerned Zac Lee has one thing going for him that outdoes Cody Green, knowledge of the playbook and sometimes the best way to learn is under pressure. Put in Green and let him learn the offense as he goes. Baptism under fire! Go Big Red!
  10. 1. Offensive Line remembers fundamentals. 2. A confident quick thinking quarterback. 3. Defense keep up the pace they've set.
  11. Jim Rose was Muuuuch worse.
  12. A nice start would be the FREAKING BLUE HAIRS GET OFF THEIR old A$$ES or STAY HOME!!! Seriously, apply the ben gay, take some hydrocodone, put on your back brace, turn up the power on the oxygen tank and get those old lungs a pumping! If you don't want to do that then give the tickets to your great grandson. This isn't a stroll through the cemetery to pick out plots. This is a FOOTBALL game! Those red cross workers get tired of carrying you out!!!! I shall be there Saturday and I will be spazzing out like I have a seizure disorder... GO BIG RED
  13. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiceeeeeeeeeee
  14. Thats ok you have Adrian Fialla there to freak out for him. Sometimes I think thats his designation, "Official Freak Out Radio Guy."
  15. 1)The Defense will Step up. 2)Quarterback Zac Lee will join Helu in the backfield. Ocassionally you might see Tyler Legate or Mike Hays at fullback or a young running back to give Helu a breather. The Huskers will adapt by assessing the situations the the Texas Tech Offenses and Defenses throw at them and calling their offensive and defensive plays accordingly.
  16. I have been thinking what a wonderful addition Greg Sharpe has been for the Nebraska football program. I really enjoy hearing his radio call when I have to listen on the radio and wish we weren't in the age of delay so I could listen play by play and watch TV at the same time.. Greg Sharpe, he knows whats going on in the game, he gets excited and he shows it, he's got a great voice for radio and I really like his style.. Thank goodness Jim Rose is gone and we get spared the Rosisms like Memorial Stadium being "Ole Grandma". It's nice to know which player actually made the play, how much time is left and what quarter it really is. I kind of miss Kent Pavelka, but now days I don't think I would trade him for Greg Sharpe..
  17. If you ever watch the old 1994 Orange Bowl videos you can see him on the sidelines and on the field near Tom after the game with a big smile on his face.. It makes one want to hurl and do unspeakeable things.
  18. WHAT THE HELL IS A MENTER??![/b]
  19. I can honestly say that I hate that guy. I really really hate him. I hate him so much that I wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire. He doesn't derserve such luxuries as being pissed on. Way above standards for his kind.
  20. I would go so far as to say you got smoked. Spotted you 12 points. You're welcome. Nebraska defense made you like boys among men all game long. You're defense gave up 20 points in under 5 minutes. You lost by 15 points at home after blowing a twelve point lead at home in one quater.. You got smoked. btw.. You'll get smoked again next year! In fact I believe we're going to see ANOTHER 20 year run. So get used to it.. No matter what happens with Nebraska and Texas Tech on Saturday the fact that Mizzou got smoked will still remain. Don't worry though, Nebraska is going to smack Texas Tech in the mouth and then we can move on to how Iowa State is going to smoke us and then Baylor and so on and so forth until you have nothing left to smack talk about and you will have wasted your entire season waiting for us to lose, but all you're going to see is Nebraska putting up W after W and you will have followed Nebraska instead of your beaten and battered tigers as they finish off the season with a lovely 2nd or third place finish in the BIG XII north and a trip to the Indepenence Bowl in Beautiful Shreveport Louisiana.. So thank you for your support.. Go Big Red!
  21. Of course you mean this Douuuuuche bag.
  22. Seriously-is this guy clinically retarded? Anybody remember Steve Latimer from the movie "The Program." He was the roid rager who cried at the end. ?? I know one thing. Carter sure likes Tats.. On his dome.....
