  1. I'm kind of puzzled. I went to a lot of trouble to make a comparison post between Bo and Billy C. I found it quickly deleted. I didn't see where I had violated forum rules with the post. Perhaps I missed something.
  2. Thanks for the responses. I've been sleeping better.... Cept for one thing... Is port a potty arson a felony?
  3. I think that depth chart sounds about right. Unless of course Ciante Evans shows us he can take his game to another level that doesn't involve being burnt toast.
  4. Just goes to show you. Even Bo is wrong sometimes I have to disagree with the plus one idea though. I think the fairest way to have a playoff is a 64 team playoff.I know, I know, it will be harder for the networks and sponsers to make as much money and they'll have to work harder to do so. Forgive me for not giving a damn. So the players might have to play a few more games. Find one college football player who's going to bitch about that. So the "Magestic specialness blah dee dah boohoo of college footballs bowl legacy will be lala whoopdiedoo lost forever." Kay. Not if you treat every playoff game like a bowl. What's more? You actually have to prove on the field that you are the best. Instead of Jackasses in the media deciding for everyone. Now I'm under no illusion this will ever happen. Money rules the world. Players and fans come last. Have fun with your plus one.
  5. Larry Smith once heard when then from after going steadfast power frosted keelboats.
  6. So it's only June and I'm feeling the itch. I have questions about this football season that haunt and keep me awake all night. I figured I might as well ask the people of Huskerboard for feedback. Maybe then I will finally be able to sleep. Will Taylor Martinez be the signal caller we "hope" he can be. Will his game management and decision making improve? Most importantly will he change his throwing form so he looks like a quarterback passing to a receiver instead of pretending to be a wizard casting a spell at a demon troll monster? Will Rex Burkhead show the Big Ten and the world that he's not just a talented running back but an All American caliber stud by making a Heisman run? Shall Will Compton take the rocks out of his shoes and find the next gear that the linebacking corps will desperately need with the departure of Lavonte David? If not will the JUCO transfer Zaire Anderson light it up for that unit and remind us of our recently departed Lavonte? Will Cameron Meredith find a haircut and facial hair combination that doesn't make him look creepy in team photos? Will the blue hair's get off their asses and start making noise on defensive third and fourth down's or face expulsion from the stadium? Also will they automatically be expelled if they report those around them to security for being too loud? Will Memorial stadium ever have another vendor that isn't Runza, Amigos, Valentino's, or Fairbury? Will ABC ever report on a portable toilet fire outside of the stadium again? (Like they did in 1995) Will Stanley Jean Baptiste become a big time DB or was the OSU into just a fluke? Will Nebraska fans ever be able to say "We're Back" instead of "We're close to being back." Ever again? Is this T.O.'s last year as A.D.? Will the relatively young (with underachieving veterans) defense over achieve like they did in 08? Will the D play better because Carl is gone and Bo's hands are forced to be on it more? Will Tim Beck's O click into the monster machine it has the potential to be? Will Brett Maher kick a 58 yard field goal? Will Nebraska finally make a dadgum BCS game or win a CCG? 11 years is too damn long to wait!! That's all I have for June... here's hoping for sleep..!
  7. Miss CLEO can tell ya Mon! The Answer is Mohammed Seisay. Ya Mon.
  8. I decided today when Nebraska once again beat a ranked opponet for the second straight season in a row that I want to see them beat more ranked opponents. So I've decided that I don't want to see Nebraska lose any more football games this season, or ever for that matter. Now ever may be a stretch and this season might be lofty but I've made up my mind. I'm sorry, this is the way it has to be. No more droughts against ranked opponents. No more droughts on the road No more losing to any team at home...EVER. No More booing the starting quarterback at home and pissing off the head coach. No More Snarky comments from Iowa fans about finally playing against "some football teams" Nebraska just comes in, takes care of business and beats the ever loving dogsh*t out of everyone they play from here on out. Like they did today. It's time to put all the crap behind us for the next few seasons and just win them all. THAT IS ALL! Underline. Exclaimation point!
  9. The toughest game going forward in the regular season is Penn State.
  10. I like to use my philosophy on this subject. It's the same philosphy I express verbally when watching the game. "For the love of all that is sacred will you catch the damn ball Stafford. Crying OUT LOUD MAN! Maybe we can get Niles Paul out here and he can show you how to not catch the ball. J^$*** F&^%ing Ch8&t Man! YOu gotta catch those!!! F9&%! " Which is coincidentally very close to what my philosphy is when a reciever drops that damn ball., So it's very easy. If you have an interception in your hands. Catch the damn ball. It's easy.. Just catch and hold on to it. Don't run, do not pass go and collect 500dollars. Just catch it first and then run.. Catch it if it's in your hands.. Just do it. Simple. DO IT NOW!
  11. You have a lot of reason to be mad at Texas over the position you are being put in, but leave A&M alone. They want out, let them go and don't be little bitches. Don't be "That guy" or that "School" that runs and sues because you don't get your way you whiney ass little pieces of baby sh*t. While you do have a lot of reason to be angry with the greedy Longhorns who could just as soon crap on you and your schools heads as look at you, let us break down where the blame lies with you. So UT, A&M, OU, are the only three schools who would certainly find another BCS automatic qualifier conference for absolute certain Mizzou and OSU would have a fair to decent chance as well. To the rest of you, Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State. You have nobody to blame for your misfortune other than your athletic department, your coaches, the play of your teams, and the support of you the fan. These are the things major conferences want. Consistent sucessful preformance. History of Winning Championships History of Professional success of athletes after college. History of consistantly making the post season. History of fan support through absolute thick and thing All of these things make a school "economically viable" for a major conference. When it boils down to it, it really is all about money. THat it what makes the world go round. So let TEXAS A&M GO!! Take your medicine and accept your fate once the BIG 12 rightfully breaks aprt. You will be in mid major, non automatic BCS qualifying conferences like thw MAC, The Wac, the MWC, the Sunbelt, or a new hybrid conference of mediocrity, and while you will have Texas to thank a little bit, you will have no one else to thank but yourselves. Good day. xoxox
  12. You're right Wisconsin fans are a$$holes. I've heard it but never gave any respect or time to those who said it. Just laughed in their face, turned my back, and walked away.
  13. Who gives a God gal damn? Although I will miss the trips to Ames to watch the overmatched Iowa State fans cry and bitch and moan that a flag isn't thrown on every down.
  14. I "think" Bronson Marsh fits your requirements. Not sure though.....
  15. So let me get this straight. You're simple easy requirements for what you personally want in a response of who "WE" think is going to emerge out of fall camp are as follows. Said Player cannot have been from last years two deep roster. Said Player can have playing time. Said Player cannot be Brion Carnes Said Player cannot be Chase Rome Said Player cannot be Kenny Bell Said Player cannot be "guys like" either of the three forementioned. AKA, people like Daimon Stafford or Tobi Okuyemi or others that most "casual" Husker fans who are not members of this board, have ever heard of. So I guess the appropriate question is who would "you" like me to pick?
  16. Three Suprises: Martinez shows he can throw and makes significant improvement talent wise and slight improvement charechter wise. Nebraska Beats ALL of the whose who of the BIG TEN. OSU, UW, MSU, UM, PSU, Nebraska Plays for the National title. Three failutres: Nebraska loses to Northwestern Nebraska gets hit with off the field issues. Nebraska gets thrown into an excruciating coaching drama story after the season ends.
  17. It't ok dudes and dudesses. I got this one. So yeah. they are going to run the ball for some of the plays. It's going to involve handing off the ball to Burkhead and a number of other backs and then they'll just run up field, ya know. Get as many yards as they can. Or Martinez or whoever is under center will just try to run it right after the center snaps it and just see how many yards he can get. So that will be cool......Oh yeah, but also the rest of the time they are going to pass the ball to the receivers. Probably a few tight ends. Maybe a running back or even a full back. So they are going to throw the pass to any one of these guys. He's going to catch it try to get as many yards as he can. Trying to score a touchdown for six points. So yeah, no need to worry, got the offense down. Don't fret!
  18. Lets see. Would I potentially ruin my favorite football program, my reason for existence in the fall, my stress reliever, the epitomy of the pride of my state to fulfill my own selfish greed? F NO I WOULDN'T! Good barometer of the new era we live in. Jesus... Fueled by selfishness and greed. I used to believe the song when they sang "There is no place like Nebraska." That was a different time I guess. My how "Progress" changes things.
  19. I was watching Sports soundoff tonight and I just want to remind everyone that Rex Burkhead is a phenomenal running back. HE IS NOT A QUARTERBACK!!!!!! There is one formation that he has thrown out of a few times. That formation is the wildcat. I know he played Quarterback in High School but Rex is not a starting FBS level Quarterback. Far from it. He is however an all conference running back.. Live it!!!
  20. I'm very excited to see Nebraska play Wisconsin. I believe it's going to be a very good night to be a Husker.
  21. I hope that he takes the opportunity to mature in Lincoln.
  22. You are so right. Athletes that get paid salaries the size of Lichtensteins GDP are definately what make sports so great.. What was I thinking?? The money is quite simply disgusting. Bubba doesn't strike me as the kind of kid who is all about the money, otherwise the issue of him going to college wouldn't still be discussed. If Bubba starts to become the kind of kid who is all about the money than I certainly hope and am sure he will play baseball.
  23. Yes, College football is worth taking a risk of getting hurt because college football is the greatest sport the earth has ever known. Unfortunately not everyone realizes that.
  24. This is where we find out the true charecter of the Kansas legend that is Bubba Starling. Does he sign a multi million dollar contract and become an 18 year old professional baseball player who the odds would say will more likely than not enjoy short lived success and eventually fade into mediocrity? or... Does he take a gamble and live up to the hype? Does he roll the dice and possibly become something few people could ever aspire to become, a legend? I'm not saying this is a gimme by any means, but the talent potential appears to be there, the personality appears to be there, the stars have aligned this far, do you take the road less traveled and learn the lessons of life the harder, more challenging and ultimately the more fulfilling way? The way people take note of and remember the story for a lifetime?? Or does he go with the trend of society these days, take the money waived in front of him and run? Take the preverbial easy road? Not that it's so easy. Does he in a word "settle" ? You know he has dreams. From what I've read of the kid I imagine those dreams are huge. I doubt he can fulfill those dreams by settling for baseball. So is he the next Jordon, The Next Montana, The Next Ruth? Or is he on another level beyond them, the greatest two sport athlete of all time? We will never know if he chooses baseball. I have to hope and believe with all of his talk of still possibly playing football that thoughts similiar to these run through his head.
