  1. To pay homage to the tradition of the blackshirts? Wouldn't the best way to pay homage to the tradition be to... carry on the tradition? Breaking the tradition seems to be a wacky way to pay homage to it.
  2. I really doubt we go back to the 5-2 lol.
  3. Besides giving them an invite a year ago or not ruling it out at their media days this week you mean? Or not censoring the analyst from the network which airs your games from saying four Big XII schools are talking with the SEC? So, "kinda-sorta, but not really"?
  4. Surprises: 1. Bo Pelini bites through his tounge going crazy on a piece of gum. 2. Martinez makes a Denard Robinson-like leap in his passing game. 3. Steinkuhler becomes a force. Failures: 1. Bo Pelini bites through his tounge going crazy on a piece of gum. 2. Cameron Meredith shaves. 3. One of our WRs makes Niles Paul look like Jerry Rice.
  5. Has the SEC shown any recent interest in expansion? If not, it doesn't really matter what A&M Fan wants.
  6. now that's something to write home about I'd argue that had a lot more to do with the HC and OC, but here's to hoping Beck can create some of that production 'round these parts.
  7. If it wasn't for the injury bug he couldn't shake, I think it would be a different story. Those California kids just aren't tough enough.

  9. Let the record show that Tim Beck is a rub-a-dub double-dog liar. I saw Martinez downtown last week and he did not help that old lady across the street. Obvious red flag.
  10. The adventures of Peat & Peat! Gotta happen.
  11. Never trust a guy who can't spell probably, personal policy.
  12. He has all the best Facebook statuses.
  13. Just because he doesn't need to do something, doesn't mean he didn't to it. I do stuff all the time that I don't need to.
  14. Yep. Most of the passes Gabbert completed last October were pinpoint throws in blanket coverage, with Crick and Meredith and Allen constantly in his face. If I'm an NFL exec and my choice is Locker or Gabbert, based on what I've seen of the two, I'm taking Gabbert every single time. Honestly, I haven't seen Locker play too much besides the couple Husker games. So obviously that doesn't tell the whole story. But if you're a NFL exec, looking at how they do against a secondary with NFL talent that runs NFL schemes, like Nebraska, is a pretty damned good place to start.
  15. Gabbert handled himself much better against NU than Locker. Sure he got his ass handed to him, but he didn't really get rattled and knew when to just throw it away. Pretty good decision making all things considered. Gabbert is more of the prototypical pocket passer NFL teams want. Locker is a good runner, but a lousy passer with even worse decision making.
  16. How is ol' Shawn Watson these days? I've made a vow to boycott The Woodshed since The Great Booby Ban of 2011.
  17. I'm with you again irule, this kids recruiting process will be a battle till the end. I could see him taking all 5 OV's, and waiting until NSD to make a final decision. I still have a good feeling about him though. I do too. He's said he wants to play with his brother. Obviously that doesn't make it a lock by any means, but it certainly puts us at an advantage. What a HUGE pick up it would be if we did get him. Literally and figuratively.
  18. Thanks for the heads up No clicky here.
