  1. The poll is not there anymore-It's been replaced by 'Do you think Jim Tressell should be fired or kept: 66% of the nation thinks Tressel should be fired ohio is the only state on that graphic that is red... seems to me it's pretty clear what needs to happen.
  2. Totally going to bed after this, but I have to say this: In person, Zac is a strikingly handsome guy. I'm comfortable enough in my sexuality to take the teasing that's probably going to earn me, but straight up, Zac is very good-looking. It's late, I'm at work, and strangely enough I've noticed that knapplc has quite the man-crush on Zac Lee and Niles Paul. I think he's mentioned how good looking both of 'em are this week... What's sad is I'm actually jealous you get the opportunity to even bump into Husker players-man I miss Nebraska
  3. it's not the size of the dog in the fight....it's the size of the fight in the dog. lol in all actually I really hope compton and fisher/whoever comes in is able to weather the storm. I don't think we're going to be seeing a replica of hagg or gomes much this year since we're likely to be in the 4-3... but Lavonte is very capable so we'll have help in the 2nd level...
  4. exactly, although we are recruiting better O linemen, it appears the emphasis is on razzle dazzle, no huddle, roll outs and zone read.....it will be interesting to see how well this works in a traditional smash-mouth conference, it will fly or die. why do something that they're already used to? I honestly think Pelini knows what hurts his D, and what works well against other D's, so he is having Beck take the Offense a certain direction. Hopefully it flies
  5. you're in basic and have access to computers?
  6. Pretty tough to call out bama fans with the kind of attendance they have every year. They are crazy and sometimes rude but they are always there. I think their consequetive sell outs are about the closest to us. I realize your probably not calling the fans out really just thought I would say something nice about them since 90% of my family is bama fans. I'm pretty sure Notre Dame is second to us and they're like 100 games away
  7. Doesn't NU only require a 30 on the ACT for a regents scholarship, which is basically a full ride (academically)?
  8. Not directing this at you Po, but A.D. saying this is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. A.D. makes millions a year and then he says it is like slavery. Wow! It's not like he can't quit and do something else, and I am sure he doesn't get beaten, sleep in a barn, or made to have children to keep the game going when they get older. To even compare it to slavery is just retarded. There are more jobs out there where people have to take just to scrape a living which is more demeaning and he has it made with money. He just made my prima donna list. I am hoping the bolded is sarcasm though. OFF TOPIC - do you ride?
  9. Just curious if anyone knows anything about this, did a search and couldn't find any info pero I had heard/read that they were going to be signing autographs at Don and Millies today at 6PM...
  10. so for those of us who don't live in Nebraska - is there a way to get the tickets online? I'll prob come back to visit family at that time and go do some tailgating...
  11. Good luck and stay safe. Thank you for serving our country Thanks man really looking forward to it honestly. Huskerboard provides some much needed relief whenever I get the chance to look at the internet!
  12. had a ticket but had to give it to a friend cuz I'm deploying-that'll be the best gift for the beginning of my trip; an NU win!
  13. Why the sarcasm? There is absolutely a hierarchy in the Conference's mind and Texas is regarded as the ace of spades in that deck. The officials have been trying to bail Texas out with calls all season. Just watch the end of their game with Baylor and you'll see. How about this: Think back to a time when you saw a BS call go against Texas. Yeah, I can't either. last years champ game where hey called the kick returners knee down even though he didn't have possession...
  14. Those were both the only games we started on offense...
  15. posted this in a dif. thread... As far as Eric Martins first Personal Foul goes-about 9 minutes left in the 2nd quarter is when it happens. It's the KO return where Niles ran East to West and there was a HUGE block on an A&M player. Jim Ebke, #32, threw that beautiful block. It was clean. What I saw was Eric running towards that direction because Niles was running there, so he was obviously trying to continue the upfield blocking. I did not see him make contact with ANYONE after Niles ran out of bounds, you can see Eric close to the A&M sideline but he starts to veer back towards our sideline and the screen pans out. So you don't see ANYTHING that he would receive a PF for. Only thing is if he did something on the way back towards the sideline but again-they do nothing to show his actions. It was a dead ball PF so it;d have to have transpired on the way back... I'm telling you-if the Colorado game is CLOSE, as in 14 pts or less, look for the zebras to aid the buffs as much as possible. The Big XII does NOT want NU in the championship game. And I do believe Dan Beebe will do whatever it takes to keep that from happening. Why some of you ask? Well let's see, how bout the motive that we are THE team that nearly cost him his job. OF COURSE he's going to have bias against us, He has already shown that by Eric Martin STILL being the only player to receive a suspension despite NUMEROUS other flagrant acts against players. Multiple helmet-to-helmet hits have gone unflagged and unsuspended. Multiple plays where Nebraska players safety is at risk. And multiple questionable choices in the review game have shown this bias. Enough is enough. And the reason Bo and the University will not come out and say the officiating sucks is because of the fines and it is against the Big XII's rules to criticize officials to the media. For those of you wanting Bo to be more Tom-like; that's what he's showing when he does this. Restraint. He is extremely passionate during the games but after that he shows he can make good decisions in the best interest of the team and the players.
  16. o am still amazed at the amount of aggie fans who seem to forget they have a chance, albeit a slim one, at making the championship game. Nice post btw...
  17. Clearly you don't follow your own team very well because if Oklahoma wins at Ok St and you guys beat Texas on Thursday, there will be a three way tie in the south. Than it'll come down to BCS rankings and if you are within one spot of Oklahoma after their win and yours against Texas, than it goes to the headtohead rule which you guys have over Oklahoma. You're not out of the championship game...
  18. How about the announcers even stating during the live broadcast about how one of the Aggies OLineman got away with a clear hold on Lavonte David-I'm pretty sure it was on one of your FG drives. The fix was in man-people at the bar that don't even watch football and HATE Nebraska (maybe hate the Ags too cuz they are Texas fans) were stating how blatantly obvious it was that the Aggies could do no wrong. Open your eyes.
  19. I also don't know that the unsportsmanlike was so bad-we had already gotten the second dead ball Personal Foul on Martin and were on our own five. We went from the five to the two and half yard line. You know what happened next? A tough, 30 yard run by Burkhead. Bo's penalty did not take away a first down, a score, or even put us in a much worse spot. It didn't, but it very well could have. I love Bo's attitude and his fire. This team needed it after Callahan. But, I don't think the team needs it bad enough that Pelini has to go THAT far with dozens of cameras trailed on him. I agree, but part of me thinks, and of course this is just speculation, that Bo is perty smart and knows how to get his team going. MAYBE he saw this as an opportune time to show the team that he knew what was going on and that it was bull. Obviously it looks bad for cameras to be on someone in a state of anger. As a passionate person, I empathize with Bo's reactions and prob cut him more slack than most. He was obviously pissed the refs were giving us the business and he let it show mult times. We scored our second FG on that drive btw...

  21. I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal out of this. No one knows what was said, Martinez didn't look like he felt it was unwarranted, and the kid came out and tried his best in the second half. Bo never addressed WHY he yelled at Martinez, and there's some speculation about him texting his gf or giving the athletic trainers a hard time, but no one is above being rebuked, esp. not the teams offensive leader.
