Nebraska should win the North and probably be ranked in the low 20's at the end, and honestly, OU only lost to Texas by 3 so I am not counting Neb out of a possible upset of Texas if they do meet in the title game. With a win there and a bowl win, heck Neb could finish top 10 since the whole "they are improving" argument would come into play. But first thing is first and that is winning the North. With the offense as it looks right now... no game is a gimme. But with the defense... no game is impossible. It is kinds a hard team to predict.

Polls only matter if you have a legit shot at the National Championship. If you are not top 5, they are meaningless.

OU's offense is worse than Nebraska's. These teams are like mirror images of each other... which is a great sign for the 'skers.

Every fan base would want their team to play Boise because it would be exciting. The programs don't want it though because it is a no win situation... if you win it was Boise State so eh, and if you lose, you just lost to Boise State. Even if they are top 5 they are still not a major conference team and will be viewed as having an "inflated" ranking so there is nothing to gain. On the other hand... Nebraska should play GT now THAT would be exciting!!!!!! I would love to see my home town team down here in the ATL and then go back home to see my school play in Lincoln!

Iowa is the luckiest team in the country. And no, you do not create your own luck otherwise it would not be luck now would it? Iowa is not even a top 25 team IMO... they should have 3+ losses and a few to some schools nobody has ever cared/ heard about. If they do not lose they will get decimated by anyone they play in a bowl game. Most overrated team ever, and yes, I am including Notre Dame.

Good luck getting a raptor to do a fly over. . I'd imagine they would go with not the best Jet in the fleet for that kind of a mission . You would have to think that since engine technology and just aviation technology in general has improved so much in those 40 years there could be an airplane with better performance built but the SR-71's objective, reconnaissance, has been replaced by satellites. Not to mention the fact that we have no idea about classified airplanes which would probably blow our collective minds.

I don't think Nebraska is a disappointment... they can still win the North, and if they do, how are they a disappointment? Were people expecting a Big 12 title with Texas and OK on the other side? I think people were expecting a North title this year so they still have a chance to fulfill expectations.

He is definitely on the hot seat. It is like Solich ... a record only gets you so far when expectations are so high. If he loses to GT this year and is NOT bowl eligible, look for a strong push by UGA fans to get rid of him. Not beating their "little brother" GT and not getting to a bowl game are grounds for firing in Athens. But then again, who is the little brother and who is the big brother is changing in this relationship... And yes, he will be a HC if he is fired. He can recruit like nobody's business and his record speaks for itself.

List loses credibility because PJ is number 30. He is a miracle worker. And he already out-coached Beamer, Grobe, and Richt on the gridiron and they are all top 10.... I am not sure where Bo ranks. I'm just being realistic when I point out that he has only beaten one coach on that top 30 list, and that is Pinkel at #26. He needs more signature wins to get on that list.
