  1. shouldn't his name indicate a non-response?
  2. Such a small pool of elite talent isn’t it. The last one I can think of is Gregory, and he was a juco. I am surprised we can’t at least find one every two years, but here we are. I came back here to edit my response, Gregory was obviously not a OLB.
  3. It was great chatting with you. #nos#!tcoachesknowmorethanwedo
  4. Miller did have a few good plays, but yes he is not very fast. If healthy, would Reimer be his backup?
  5. I re-watched the game today, and I did look closer at both Ty and Casey. I am very impressed with what I saw, they are strong, long, quick and athletic. Physically, they don't carry any bad weight, these guys are going to be really good. Additionally, they were doing this against one of if not the best offensive lines in the county. Now we need to go recruit two rush ends. I am looking for someone that is anywhere between or exactly like Gregory or Wistrom.
  6. Are you feeling argumentative today? I basically agree with you, I just stated that I liked what I saw at the end of the year from Mills and I am happy we have both.
  7. Did you catch Klatts statement about Kade Warner? He said something on the lines that he is our best receiver, I remember saying out loud, “god no”! I do think Kade is a good player , and he will benefit from injecting more talent and speed on the field, but he better not be our best receiver.
  8. I think Mills game was hampered by the inconsistency of the offense yesterday. If I remember correctly, most of his runs where predictable play calls and the defense was all over him quickly. I do agree that Thompkins will get more touches, and he should. I just keep going back to the Wisconsin and Iowa game where Mills was outstanding. It’s great to have them both.
  9. I have had this exact discussion a thousand times with my friends that are fans but don’t follow recruiting closely. We have to pull out all the stops to get a guy like Wan’Dale, whom I love, but Ohio State gets multiple Wandales. Washington, Manning and Betts are probably as talented anyone out there, but as you mentioned above, can be a risk, of course Washington is gone. Hopefully, it starts to work itself out and the talent starts to rise as the season progresses. One other frustrating observation. I think it was Arkansas State in Frosts first year. I remember noticing that they had more talent at the defensive end and taller, more athletic receivers , just frustrating. i feel going forward, Nebraska will stay focused on offensive line recruitment. We will always be able to find talented interior defensive lineman, linebackers, running backs and defensive backs, but tall athletic defensive ends and elite speed receivers with length are just hard to find and get.
  10. I think Day meant well, but he really shouldn’t have anything, because is reads freekn horrible.
  11. You could even say 42-28, those mistakes and s#!tty calls were devastating.
  12. so much this! Its not like we are dealing with a bunch of walk-ons at that position, there are four freekn four star receivers from last years class. How can Ohio State have freshman receivers making plays, and we just cant seem to get anyone close to Stanley Morgan. I know, I know I sound like a broken record. Now for something positive, how good does Ty Robinson look! That is a man right there, and he's a redshirt freshman. We are looking at a B10 first team next year I bet. Actually, nice game by the DLine as a whole.
  13. No, they would play, but we wouldn't throw to them.
  14. They have like fifty receivers, can they just give us two?
  15. Man I hope Manning is ready next week, because if we can stretch the field this offence is going to be very good.
  16. Absolutely! We need to keep them guessing, and crowding the line. No deep threat is going to kill us
  17. Its taken me a long time, but I rarely, if ever, read or watch a national program review or discuss Nebraska Football. I find much more enjoyment coming here and discussing our future and giving each other s#!t about stuff.
  18. I don't like to bash any young men playing college football, but I am making the assumption that these guys are not going to make it on the field. Last year would have been an opportune time to show something, anything. Now there may be more to their issues than we are seeing, but with the talent that came in last year, not sure if time is on their side. If we can consistently recruit in the top 10-20 range, there will always be a few of 4* guys not making it. I do wish them luck though.
  19. I hear you, but I feel it could happen faster than you think. You could make the argument 2020 was Nebraska's best Receiver recruiting class ever. I like how we are mixing it up with speed guys and size guys. Its going to be fun to watch. 2020 Flemming 5'11 Slot/WR 4* Betts 6'3 WR 4* Nixon 5'11 Slot/WR 3* Brown 5'11 WR 3* (probably should have been a 4*) Manning 6'4 WR 4* 2021 Grimes 6'2 WR 4* Hardy 6'3 WR 3* Neville 6'4 WR 3* Fidone 6'5 TE 4* (had to add this guy, because he is going to play everywhere)
  20. Since we have accepted that Manning wont play, can you imagine how much all of us will freak out if he takes the field on the first snap and makes a play?
