  1. Are you making a serious statement that someone might/should consider firing T.O.? Did I claim it would be anyone intelligent?

Uh, that's because all the cave trolls in here roll over to that board in force. I don't even look at that board for info anymore, because it's frustrating stepping in all the scarlet troll sh#t. In before, "but were only defenceing our selfs lol." There's really only one poster over there that I would consider a troll, and every other NU poster seems to conduct themselves well unless provoked. Yea like I said, in before someone says they are just defending themselves. You're on their board. They don't pillage our board the way you guys do theirs. If they talk sh#t, they talk sh#t. Most of the good football talk gets ruined by the stupid b1tchfest back and forth. I'm sure every Husker fan that goes on their wears there "Worlds Classiest Fan," badge, completely oblivious to the fact that you guys mostly do, in fact, sound like pompous asses. I wouldn't blame them. I would e-hate you too.
  3. It's coming. MBB is not doing well. Baseball is a big question mark. It's coming to an internet message board near you. Everyone get ready!

  5. I did not know that stuff was all part of his philosophy, thanks.
  6. Perhaps your hand should be less visible while you learn the ropes.
  7. I have a feeling I wouldn't understand a word that they are saying. Bo: ". . . match zone . . . disguised blitz . . . corner fake." Monte: ". . . Tampa 5 . . . double backside . . . twist." Me: Quite funny.
  8. People use stats in the oddest ways some times. It wouldn't surprise me if the same people that insist our defense was the best because of scoring (when other people pull out yards) are using yards, not results, to say that Watson sucks.
  9. One second and officiating aside (there's other threads for that), they won that game because of better athletes on offense. They found a way to put it in the end zone and we didn't. I mean let's face it, Greg Davis and Colt McCoy got schooled for most of that game. If we're going to say that Watson is a poor game planner, it's not like he got outdone by Davis. Also, this poll leaves out player development.
  10. P.S. As a vet and the 'old guy,' in most of my classes at NU, I always liked Hickman and O'Hanlon. Thanks you for your time here, Jacob.
  11. Well, I definitely agree with you that there is a loser in this thread. Such a shame you won't be able to live vicariously through him, eh?
  12. What??????????????????????????????????????????????/ Pretty sure he's making a play on the thread title. Didn't I just say that? Sheesh, pay attention to the thread! Maybe he has you on ignore? I could see why...
  13. Not to nitpick, but I'd say more like 1/4th the man.
  14. Cave - I completely understand your point here. But the walk-on program takes care this issue. I would much rather take the 6'2 203lb Corey Cooper, who has a million offers, over the 6'0 200lb Bronson Marsh, that doesn't hold a single D-1 offer. Again, I understand your point. Putting their height, weight, and 40 times next to each other makes them seem very similar. Yes, Bo can coach the heck out of both of them but they are still far away from each other in terms of potential. Give Bronson a chance to get a scholarship if he proves himself just like Matt O'Hanlon did this past year. ' Why do you people keep f'ing assuming everyone can afford college, and that they should do so just so you as a fan can get the recruit that YOU want.
  15. No confirmation yet. I'd just wait and see.
  16. Well I certainly don't feel any shame about being upset that we're not getting a talent like Carter. I still believe he's a very talented skill player that NU's offense could really use. That being said, Carter did shoot across the bow of Husker Nation with his public criticism of our team and trying to convince commits to go elsewhere. Even if you're only 18, you've got to expect to catch some crap when you do that to the Huskers. Remember, we'll stick together through all kinds of weather - even when that weather is a $#@% storm from a recruit. Again, even the fact that an 18 year old boy that is not yours and is not breaking the law can provide you with a sh#tstorm is hillarious. I would be laughing that the obsession has now gone on for 13 pages. Everyone is acting like Gabbert and Carter told you he loved you, took your virginity, dumped you and told everyone you were a bad lay. It's a kid who the staff turned out to not even really want. Try to have some perspective. EDIT: I'm just trying to say, a kid fires a shot across your bow, you shake your head, roll your eyes, and move on. These are kids and they are going to say/do stupid sh#t.
  17. I guess the best way to stop a bunch of speedy f'ers flying around the backfield jumping your quick routes is to get big and punch them in the mouth.
  18. If I paid for rivals access I might be kind of disappointed I heard about it here first instead of huskersillustrated.com Anyway, if this is true, welcome aboard. I really like his size. I have a theory that Bo is recruiting to counter his defense, because he's shown the rest of the conference how to shut down the spread and knows the copy cats will be out in force soon. Got my tin foil hat on for that one.
  19. for someone so good at research, i'm shocked that you still haven't found a single example to support your claim that the "bo doctrine" is either new or temporary. It is so temporary I would say it is likely no longer in effect. We'll see as time goes by. This isn't the last time a kid is going to decide to check out another school after an oral committment. After blowing steam in the tirade the "Bo Doctrine" likely changed to a "flexible" policy quicker than Napalitano went from saying "Everything worked just like it should" to "That ain't the way it's sposed to work, somebody screwed up". The love for BC is still strong in you, it runs hot in your veins. You have not let it pass out of your body yet, when it does your posts will be read with more love. You were burnt by your support for BC and now how to take it out on Bo because he is not doing things the BC way. Once you can admit that, you will feel better. Telling kids that you are either all in or dont committ yet is exactly HOW you get the kids you want. Do you really not see how that makes sense? Do you think other schools say "please, give us your verbal but go check out all the other schools you can still" Nooooooooo, they all say "when you are ready, give us your word but dont do it until you are ready and when you do, we expect you to stick with us" Very true. Looking back, my successful high school football team would have been even more successful had all our skill position players bought into our HC's system. With that being said. If I were 18 year old Curtis Carter reading this, I would be laughing my ass off at how upset some of you are over me.
  20. Boy I don't know. I hear Doane is looking for another head coach. i thought they were interested in Frazier. He was already there. His teams didn't do very well under his direction. I would put that more on the Doane football players being to wimpy to handle him.
  21. : It would be funny to see how many people would defend Erin Andrews...if she looked like Janet Reno It would be funny to see how many people bring looks into it if she were a man. There are plenty of bad male announcers on the sidelines and in the booth. And, as has been mentioned already, it's not like she doesn't have someone telling her what to ask.
  22. Double post to point out when Mizzou does "Spooon," it sounds pathetic. Paul would sound about as bad.
  23. Exactly what I was thinking! I was thinking you just did a fantastic job of proving my point.
  24. Let's not force it. When that happens you wind up with, "Weeeeeeeeeerth," which, no offense to the lady (you don't choose your first surname), sounds atrocious on television.
  25. I think you would be really shocked by (and have missed) what was and was not sarcastic in the OP. Fair enough. I skimmed it. I don't think the OP believes women can be serious football reporters. It reminds of watching The Best Damn Top 50 sporting interviews on FSN. I think it was Ted Koppel? He asked the baseball commissioner why there weren't more blacks as GMs and owners. The commissioner said something to the lines of, while many of them are highly intelligent and great athletes, it's not something they were built for. It happened a long time ago, but it's just funny how slow some people are to catch up to the times.
