no playoff win in 20 years, no conference championship since 99...been a long wait...90's were a good time ..atleast i can wear my red gear interchangeably to each stadium...

lets see ..where have I seen this before, my favorite team decimated by injuries...oh yeah the huskers. wish we could have been healthy for the whole game....colts got VERY lucky. extremely disappointing

oh yeah, they were trying to make the moment big, butter up M Did I miss something? What was this "Hero Alabama" thing? Before Bama started their drive the music came on, nice graphics with Bama colors and the kids and teams history blah blah blah, a second later the kid get's slapped drops the ball and Okie scores, it was magic heh. oh yeah, ESPN thought they were about to be vindicated for their Alabama/SEC man love, setting everybody up for the great alabama win and victory they had surely prepared for... queing up all kinds of warm feelings and prediciting the outcome...and then.... screetch!!!, the needle comes off the record ..i could see the ESPN announcers running round trying to figure out what the hell they were going to say and show next..." this wasnt in the script we practiced!!!" and all the guys who spent their entire holiday putting together a 14minute "ode to alabama" video full of sound bites and clips with all the right music and great highlights of the year thinking ..."id like to have that 3 weeks back!" what a joke ESPN is...

bowl games have mostly always been played in the south. and probably always well bacuase of climate and weather.this not new ofcourse..how many orange bowls did we go to playing a florida team? its always been a home or "kinda" home game with with the southern schools... back then, we got a lot of good kids to come here to play from the southern schools cause they wanted to be on tv...we no longer have that advantage, the distance the average division 1 athlete moves to go to school has come down dramatically in the last 20 years... I have been in Chicago this time of year many times and that wind comes in off the lake and blows throught those streets and right through you...Chicago can be damned cold this time of year. growing up in nebraska and northern iowa in the 70s and 80's when winters were far worse than today , i consider myself pretty hardy. i spend ALOT of time outside in the winter and i still would not be as interested in Chicago as I would be in Orlando or phoenix......all the bowls i have been to have been in warm places. one of the reasons i always thought nebraska fans travelled so well was because it was "a bunch of farmers " wanting to go somewhere warm and get out of the cold...those neraskans show up at the beaches when the locals think its too cold and leave with a terrible sun burns....locals would just shae there head in amazemennt....oh and you would see the same with all the big gold bird heads (hawkeyes) as well...

this is great....I pray we get back to at least late 80's, early 90's strength with some competitive B1G title appearances/ titles and some solid bowl appearances/wins soon... id be happy, happy, happy! but that was then, .... this is now......lots needs to happen.
