  1. Like the old saying goes.................Next time your in trouble and need help, call a crackhead and see where that get's ya! Better yet, if you have kids and they are ever lost or need a hand, tell them that cops and fireman are bad, they should go find a child molester or drug dealer to help them. Jesus man! Really??? f#*k the police? How about f#*k YOU! I hope something bad happens to you and a cop helps you so you can see how much of a douchebag you are...
  2. I got blown up in a football game once, and when I got up and looked at me Dad, he was laughing at me.... It made me laugh too.
  3. I'm sorry, but you midwesterners don't know what crime/drugs are... I spoke with a Lancaster County Deputy out there and his entire department combined with Lincoln PD handle less calls than my station does... My station is one of 11.. In the small contract city I work in (approx. 60,000 people), I've handled 3 murders and over a thousand calls for service (including stabbings, shootings, assaults, rapes, domestics, etc.). That's just the stuff I've personally handled this year so far, and I'm one of 15 deputies on swing shift. California is living proof that Hell exists, so my nominee for Meth Capitol of the world is Southern California.
  4. He played like hell in the first 3 quarters, so I think our OC, Shawn Watson, was trying to send him a message...
  5. Yeah, he's going to be a great quarterback.... He started to meltdown after being hit by Suh, and never recovered. His throws were horrible, and he was rattled all game. Even his hail mary pass was a miracle that Amukamara fell down, otherwise it would've been a pick. Kinda reminds me of a former KSU quarterback that is now in the NFL... You can have all the talent in the world, but if you can't handle pressure, you'll never be that good.
  6. Good luck in surgery and a speedy recovery!
  7. I'm keeping mine, but try the UNL bookstore... Saw a lot there as well.
  8. Sorry I didn't see the post, I don't usually check this forum anymore for the insane amount of cop and troop bashing a few people do on here... I wish him a speedy recovery, hopefully he'll be 10-8 before he knows it. I've lost a few close friends in the line of duty, and have nearly lost my own life several times. Incidents like that (murderous/assaultive suspects) are a daily occurrance in my beat alone, and fortunately I've only lost a fingertip, a lot of blood, and gained a few scars... What doesn't kill you will make you stronger.
  9. ...can't the man have his dream?
  10. I'll root for CU, even though I hate them... but that's only if I get home from Muay Thai in time...
  11. The video that was played at the end of the game was awesome... All the highlights plus hard hits...
  12. Was the Mizzu win over Illinois their "Signature" win, because that's all I hear anyone talking about... Just because a team is the worst in its BCS conference doesn't mean you beat a BCS caliber team... it just means you beat a team that really shouldn't be in the Big 10, more like MAC or Conference USA.... Kinda like beating Baylor without Griffin... I think Mizzu will be a good team, but never the caliber they had the past couple years. They will continue to be the team that plays its rivals hard, but never makes it to that upper level. Nebraska will get back to that level, but it will take some time. I believe we will be the best in the North (recruiting, facilities, etc), but will fail to beat Texas or OU for a few years... I just hope the Husker faithful show Pelini some respect and patience, as they did with Osborne all those years...
  13. He didn't mention how weak Mizzu's O-line and Defense are... weird.
  14. Thanks! Oh, and I got Suh's autograph on my brand new Husker hat... R-Sr., Mom, and I were driving down the street, and we saw him getting out of his car... My Dad damn near threw me out of the car as I started running through traffic to get up to him... I caught up to him and he was as cool as Cody Green, but way scarier... R-Sr. almost wrecked the rental car while he got out too... There was washer fluid all over the windshield ( a poor attempt at putting the vehicle in park) and Mom was laughing hysterically at us... I felt bad because Suh wasn't really smiling, but I was reminded he's very humble and just always looks like he's going to eat a baby...
  15. I screamed POWER so loud I almost blew out my voice box...
  16. We went to the one in Havelock... I had the 6oz filet, medium rare, bacon wrapped, with a potato... Hands-down the best steak I've ever had in my young life... Senior had the same, and my Mom had the prime rib...
  17. My bad, I'm not used to this laptop... I meant Haymarket lol My father and his side of the clan are from God's Country (Nebraska) and my Mother is from the Fourth Ring of Hell (California). I was born in Colorado and we moved to southern California shortly after. I resided in California ever since, but I was assimilated into the Husker Nation from day one. I visited family once in a while back here, but was never able to make it to a game due to money, work, or other problems. My parents came back two years ago to the Iowa State game, which I was supposed to go to, but I didn't make it thanks to work... I may be Coloradan by birth, and Californian by residence, but I am and always will be a Nebraskan by heart. Someday, God willing, I'll move to Lincoln and live the rest of my life in a place that makes me so happy.
  18. This weekend has been easily the best of my life. I had a filet at Misty's. I got to see the 300th sellout with my Dad in person. I had a Runza inside the stadium and UNL Dairy Ice Cream... I've met Tommie Frazier, Matt Davison, Joe Ganz, Corey McKeon, and Cody Green in person. I got to walk through the Haymarket on a Saturday morning, and take part in the Husker Tailgating and all the deafening chants during the game. The 300th videos were spectactular, as was the flyover by the F-16s... The highlight reel of a game was more than I could have ever hoped in my first homegame, and I got to share it all with my Dad. I came to tears numerous times as the emotions of finally being in the Sea of Red after 26 years became a reality... This weekend, the people, and the memories I'll have with my family make me believe there's no place like Nebraska...
  19. So I'm standing near the elevators on the 14th floor of the downtown Lincoln Holiday Inn last night, talking to my girlfriend on the phone about the game. The elevator bell rings and I move out of the way so the folks could get off. I look up and Cody Green and family are walking out. I froze and gave him the "what's up" head nod, and he returned it and smiled. After he went to their room, I scrambled back to my room and fumbled around looking for my hat (which I had Matt Davison and Joe Ganz sign earlier in the day)... I told Rawhide Sr. about it and ran back out the door. Cody eventually came out and I asked him to sign my hat, which he did with a smile. I talked to him for a minute or so and thanked him for playing for us... This trip has been awesome!
  20. Welcome to the board and enjoy all things mostly NU and then Big XII GBR
