  1. that video is evidence of god? huh. i see that and admire the beauty of nature and evolution. but if god gets credit for rivers coming back, i guess we can blame him for the drought in california? or whatever other catastrophe is going on in the world?
  2. It's not that we are square with it. It's rather unfortunate. But it's cited in the Bible. It's not that we say it's that way, Jesus (God) said it is that way. Matthew 7:13-14 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." you cannot quote the bible as evidence of why the bible is right. that is just simple-minded nonsense. and if it is true; thanks god, for needlessly making the gate narrow.
  3. i sincerely thought last year's off season could not get any more whiny around here.

  4. the difference is how teams step up when it matters. and the big picture is that osu has a lot going on that will be tough to contend with on a game to game, season to season basis. and i didn't quote you. i just think saying nitpicking games is silly when you pick out a couple games to demonstrate the slim difference. anyone can beat them any given saturday, that's not the same as winning the big 10 and a 4 team playoff.
  5. Yep. I don't personally know Pelini.....never met him, probably never will. Perhaps you have met him or know him. But those you mention above who know Pelini might have a different view on how Pelini treats "everyone". only person's opinion that mattered was eichorst's. apparently, eichorst did not appreciate his behavior. and i wonder how many statements ysu will have to make before they get tired of that classless, lunatic clown. they've already issued one, and he hasn't even coached a game yet.
  6. I'm with you in Indiana, ok, but it only speaks to arrogance to say that if a team that has beat us the last two years could almost beat another better team then we should obviously be able to beat them. Did Minnesota blow us out? Were they CLEARLY the better team? No. That's the whole point here. The gap is inches, not feet folks. Dont nitpick this game or that and say, "well they beat us, so we cant beat them". That has absolutely nothing to do with the big picture. yeah, it would be ridiculous to just cherry pick one or two games to make a grand statement, unless that statement is that a team that only lost one early game, went undefeated in the B1G, dominated the B1G championship (against a team that dominated donu), had two heisman contending qb's and an mvp freshman rb, and won a 4 team playoff of the class of the sport is not that good.
  7. was only making my bi-monthly appearance. carry on.

  8. Agree, but there is only a certain amount of things you can do with a sports game after a period of time. Not gonna lie, not having this game anymore sucks for those who played it all these years. Even talking with college athletes now they want the game back. Just takes a few sour apples whose careers didnt go the way they wanted and they cry about it like they are entitled while in college. Take that free education that you A) Wouldn't have even gone to college or B) Would be in $80k debt after you graduated this is great. you are whining about literally being entitled to a video game. kudos.
  9. long time topic follower, first time poster. um... yeah, my house was built on an ancient indian burial ground and every morning my chairs are on my tables and my tv's get bad reception. what should i do? sincerely, spooked in sodak.
  10. Fairly certain Bo wasn't involved with the domestic abuse. This. He may be a poor judge of character, but let's not attribute all of these characteristics to Bo. Well, I'm not trying to pin these attributes to Bo himself. Just saying he really hired some gems. That being said, lets see who Bo has kept around with him over the years and rehired at YSU: Carl the coke head and philanderer and Ron the homophobe. So maybe those aren't Bo's attributes, but he seems to be ok with them. and look at who he didn't bring along, paps. so, there's that. good enough to be d.c. at donu, can't find a place for him at ysu. bo was just a f'ing grifter and lunatic and i hope he fails miserably at 'last chance u.' To be fair, Paps maybe didn't want to follow him there. But I see your point. i did think about that. and hopefully he finds a good fit and mentor where he can prosper and become a solid d.c. rather than whatever happened while he was at donu where he was just promoted to further insulate bo from reproach.

  12. more like state of the bored. amirite?
  13. i am done with this board. it is disconcerting how seriously those in control take made up rules. it is embarrassing how they take themselves so seriously. but at the same time, this is a place for friends to gather, converse, and stay in touch. and those guys that can no longer come here were friends. and i see no point in continuing here when people that become important to me are arbitrarily and capriciously exorcised. none of them needed to go and they all did more good for the board than bad. so while what those in control do may be petty, it has heavy consequences. this may be melodramatic, i no longer know because this board is concurrently so serious and a joke, but i see no reason to remain a poster and thought i would share why. take care, you guys.
  14. it is. but he has been a real breath of fresh air so far.
  15. at this point, with the B1G seeming to be in the process of really beefing up, i think that will always be a real challenge.
  16. seeing how not losing to minny more times than not and not getting embarrassed by wiscy would be great, i will keep my hopes up.
  17. i've been using it up here in southeast south dakota since they installed it. it's great.
  18. too bad we could not have got him sooner. hoping he has a success here and enough gas left in the tank to stay awhile.
  19. true, but after that dare, i think things were different. would you agree it all felt more tenuous at that point? everything just seemed on edge. and he was putting together a respectable season, at least on paper. then wiscy happened and i just got the impression that that was it. Completely agree. I wanted it to happen, but was still in disbelief when it did. I think alot of it had to do with the national media being split on doing it, vs when Bill was fired. it was a weird time. i was expecting it, but still shocked when it happened. eichorst showed a lot of moxie in his actions.

  21. i might. because it hurts. that could have been, and should have been, number 4 in the 90's. but you are right, that was a great season. and another reason frank was wronged for getting fired. he won a ccg and got us to an mnc. pretty great resume. unlike his successors.
  22. i think a lot of people knew it was an indy or bust kind of year. and then they way we lost to wiscy? yeah, that was it to anyone not suffering from extreme myopia and a obsequious love of bo. we all knew that the already tired 70%+ win percentage and 9 wins arguments no longer had a leg to stand on. no matter what urb may have said before about firing 9 win coaches.
  23. all i know is how to keep it 100.
