  1. That many starts? This was his 12th start in the new system. Based on his presnap reads and the 0 coverage, that was his first read on that play. How many times do you think he's been told to take advantage of that coverage? Don't call a play where your QB can make a correct read and still have that be the wrong decision. Why not go back to the plays that were used in the first quarter where he picked up some short yard conversion with his legs on designed runs? IIRC, Langsahan's offense is predicated on reading pass routes deep to short. Armstrong read the deep route first, and it was there based on the 1 on 1 coverage. Yes, that is a very low % pass, and Langsahan should have instructed TA to go with the pass to Carter, as his first read. From my understanding, if you're going to throw the fade, you have to get that ball out ASAP, you don't have the time to work through progressions. And we really don't know what play was called. If that in fact was the play call, then, Tommy did the right thing and the call was soooo Langsahan (horrible).
  2. But why didn't we see these up and coming talent play this year? Cav selected his guys to start and stood by them the entire year. The only change he did make was put Sterup at guard at the end of the year. And that worked out pretty well didn't it. Another off season in the weightroom and a little more coaching and they will be ready to take over. Isn't he gone though? Also...what are they going to do differently in the weight room? Radar often makes uneducated posts I've found. It's called trolling.
  3. Yet they managed to win 70% of their games between the Callahan eras. I guess Pederhorst fired the second coming of Lombardi in lieu of Mr. Rogers.
  4. I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.No. It's called trolling and used to be against the rules but is now ok.Pot and kettle?Remember when trolling meant something? Apparenly now it's just a term used to discredit someone in which you disagree. Yes. I opened my account over this last summer and display enjoyment over watching this program suffer through the Callahan V.2 era. Oh wait...... Speaking of the pot and kettle, I do find some striking similarities between the ardent supporters of Callahan V.1 and Callahan V.2. One in the same, actually. Both sides of the fence troll the other and by the look of things around here the last 4-5 months we should all just get used to it. I'll make sure to book mark this post.
  5. Tommy Frazier & Eric Crouch made Oz look like a genius. Tommie. Crouch didn't play for Coach Osborne. Any actual Husker fan knows this. But anywho, Trollolololololololol.......

  7. Par for the course. Troll on, troll on...
  8. Funny how you basically disappeared when we were winning...You mean during a bye week? Well, for Rillllllllley, a bye week is basically the same as a win, so.............

  10. So if Riley has elite NFL talent...he can win more than 5 games? Isn't that kind of true of all coaches? Part of the reason why Saban wins a lot of games every year. I hear that! Then translate it to Nebraska and you will see the light.Good thing we have a great top 5 recruiting class for 2016.....You are right, it will be pretty good, likely twice as good as we have seen in the last 7 years and maybe as good as a Callahan class.Yeah.....29th by 247.And 2 of the top 4 being brought on by the previous staff. The last staff was out before the last class was signed, you are always good for a funny! hint, rankings mean nothing in November... last staff....Ha... Ha... ha.. ha..So, are you saying that Rairdon and Brokop didn't commit to the previous staff?I sometimes think we shouldn't count any of them until they actually show up and enroll in school.True enough, lots of minds change up to signing day.Heck, even being a huge Husker fan, and if I were a legacy, I probably wouldn't play for the Riley clown show. Good point. But you predictably failed to answer the original question. Most every one who is associated with football at any level says they would want their kid to play for Coach Riley. The have been quoted time and time again. Link? And before you link, please answer the original question, TIA. Don't be lazy, look it up, its pretty easy. Didn't think so. Ok, troll on.
  11. While obviously not true, I'd certainly take Bray plus any random 8 local media guys over this abomination.

  14. The only truth here is that the penalties are trending down. By all means, troll on.
  15. I love this post so much, people are ignoring the fact that we just played the no. 4 team in the country and were basically a QB away from winning...and still only lost by 8. If we had done this against Michigan State and not Iowa people would be acting a lot more optimistically right now.I could've swore that we had 2 alleged QB gurus on this staff. You know, guys making millions to allegedly teach their quarterbacks, and to draw up game plans and call plays to highlight the strengths of their players. Or not, apparently.

  17. Let's count our lucky stars that you aren't the AD. You would completely destroy Nebraska athletics. Yeah......5 and 7..... Hip, hip, hooray.

  20. NU never led at one point in that game. For 26 of the 30 minutes of the 2nd half, Iowa led by 11 points. NU was not threatening to win that game. Did the cold weather make it look like you were watching a different game? All due to mistakes by one player and the tossing of Gerry. The playcalling was pretty damn good all game long. You go boy! Way to throw the players under the bus. God know the coaches weren't seeing the same thing and calling mostly passing plays... Definitely only one player that cost is the game. PASS PLAYS FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Pass plays beat Michigan St, brought us back against Miami, kept us in the game against Iowa. So we should ignor the strength of the team (our recievers) ranked as the best in the B10 and run the ball with our backs?????????? Really! I have no words for that. If your QB cannot reliably get them the ball, then are they still a strength? He can when he sets his feet, You should ask someone to tell you the story about the last drive against Michigan St. It will be a classic some day.Yep, a true classic to turn a 4-8 season into 5-7. Hip hip... We won that game, Really ! it was in all the papers.Yep, it was a true classic!!! Just like losing to BYU, Miami, Illinois, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Purdue, and Iowa were true classics. Hip hip... Those are just footnotes in history. That's what Bill Callahan said after a losing season in his first year. LINK?"Just one game, just one season....." All actual Husker fans know that line. No link needed. Saben has likely uttered that line from time to time or do you claim that to be an iconic quote in history? Thanks for proving my point.

It used to be, I believe.
  24. A real coaching staff wouldn't play him. So it's a lose-lose, right? Touche' The current clown show staff did play him, no one in their right mind thinks that they are even average coaches. I must not be in my right mind. Isn't Riley's overall record just slightly below .500? Doesn't that make him an about average coach? Not considering that he was handed the keys to a Cadillac, and promptly drove it right into the ditch.
