  2. i cant take anything seriously when its posted on a website called "BuckNuts"
  3. miamihrrcns2001 / MrZiegs1994 Cod BOps and NCAA 11 (and forza i guess)
  4. geez. everyone knows it was a chainsaw, not an axe. its faster. Will he back in time for the spring game? Probably not, his prosthetic leg will arrive in in June from India. I've also heard that Brion Carnes is looking like Daunte Culpepper in practice... or was it Michael Vick... i get those two confused.
  5. i heard that ron kellogg took snaps with the first team offense during an impromptu scrimmage yesterday, and that in a freak accident, Taylor Martinez was chopping wood for the team pep-rally bonfire and severely under-swung the axe and amputated his leg. just rumors though, id recommend you take them with a grain of salt.
  6. Their "big play" receiver hasnt really been all that big play this year... i think Locker has a similar day to the first time we played them...
  7. I agree. I think our d-line is better now though, so we may not need the secondary to make as many plays. I think one of the Keys (difference between winning by 40 or 30) is whether the guy behind Steinkhuler can step up and make a few plays. I still dont think our offense will have any problems, considering we had 3 100-yard rushers last time.... I mean, T-mart can throw better now, too. BTW, for anyone that was wondering what teh original name of the thread was, that is, before some Huskerboard God decided to smite me, it was "T-Mart Officially Gone" which then transitions into the first sentence.
  8. ouch mods... thanks for changing the title of the thread...
  9. ... and no one's gonna catch him! 80 yards, touchdown Nebraska on the opening play of the second half! Sound familiar? Honestly though, does anyone else think that we're just going to put our cleats on the throttle and no take them take them off the whole game? I think we're healthier and have a better offense come Dec. 30. 63-6 my prediction.
  10. Nike would be nice, and you know Tom would say the only alternate jerseys we would wear would be throwbacks... which are awesome when done by Nike. Also, of the past 13 BCS national championship games, only ONE team has won that has not been sponsored by Nike (Tennessee in 1998) and they were the ONLY team not sponsored by Nike to even APPEAR in the game until this year with Auburn (Under Armor). Statistically, Nike wins championships.
  11. MY thoughts on a good BIG 10 logo and division names. Also, see how there's a "12" in the "IG" in "BIG"... anyway, i think i like mine better, and that's just if you don't change the color scheme!
  12. You are correct, there are two on HI. Louisiana Huskers (note the space), is the one that posts on the premium board over there and IIRC he currently lives in Las Vegas Nevada. I go by LouisianaHusker (no space) over there and currently live in Leesville Louisiana and have lived here since 2001 which is before I joined the free part of HI. I mainly use the various free boards for information since I'm stuck in SEC country, with the occasional post to opine. how do you know where people live again?
  13. WARNING: Only watch this if you can stand excessive gum chewing soo.....
  14. QB - Bubba Starling - Taylor Martinez - Cody Green (RS?) - Brion Carnes - Jamal Turner (RS) RB - Rex Burkhead - Aaron Green - Braylon Heard - Tray Robinson TE - Dreu Young (Injury RS this year?) - Kyler Reed - Ben Cotton - Chase Harper (?) WR - Brandon Kinnie - Tim Marlowe - Khiry Cooper - Currenski Gilleylen - Quincy Enuwa - Taariq Allen IMO We have a decent offense next year. Marlowe is the next Wes Welker in my opinion, and Kinnie is proven.
  15. yep right on point about Pelini showing interest in Miami. Everyone should pm him for information. How do you know he didnt? BTW Willie has been dead on more than anyone else here Ive seen. you did say OWA was a silent commit.... touché...
  16. This could work? http://img814.imageshack.us/img814/8291/parlcelini.jpg

  18. It's hard to make it any better, because there is a different lighting and size in the two pictures, but I did as good a job as I could do!
  19. Dear Washington Fans, Yes, we respect your school. However for those 30,000 people that paid to go see our previous game are not as interested in paying even more to travel even farther to re-match against a team we already beat (forget the 35-point whipping part of that for now). There's a reason OU and Nebraska have a rivalry, and why we wouldn't mind playing them 3 times in 12 months. Plain and simply, that's because they're good, and when they talk, they can back it up. We won round one of three by 5 touchdowns, will win this large as well, and destroy the Puppies next year without Locker. So why would we be thrilled about this? Yes, you have had decent programs in the past, but this year is similar to our 2002-03 season. We didn't even respect ourselves that year. Respect outside of being respectful is earned. We will be courteous and respectful of your fans, as always, but as they say "twos a company, threes a crowd" and playing a team that has comparable stats to a Fresno State or a South Florida 3 times in 12 months is... well... playing a team with similar stats to Fresno State and South Florida 3 times in 12 months. Also, you must understand, we were 4 points away from going to the BCS bowl (Fiesta) and getting our elite status back in the eyes of many. Instead, we get skipped for MIZZERY thanks to that mailbox full of Benjamins kindly donated to the Insight Bowl Foundation from an anonymous donor, and we head to the same place we went last year for a bowl. So, in closing, we love you like our brothers, but we hate the circumstances that surround this "kerfuffle". Signed, Husker-liking people.
  20. I've thought for a while we should use taylor's strengths to his advantage: running outside the pocket, and play action passes. Maybe one of those throw-back option (zone read now-a-days) passes?? perfection. However, Watsypoo's pen ran out of ink after he drew up the shotgun zone-read handoff...
  21. Sportsmanship is huge. However... Bo should get his troops to fight until the last whistle, leave the started in, blitz, keep passing/running/rexcatting and see if we cant double the outcome of last season. Go for it on fourth an 2, and make the big XII so sorry they f$#ck*d with us that they will beg us one last time not to leave their conference. I will be sincerely disappointed if we don't shut them out, and don't score the most points we've scored all year. You know T-Mart with his anti-Pac 10 sentiment will be all for it and he'll give 110% to make it 110-0, and I'm sure Bo's "us against the world" speech will be something to remember. GBR let the slaughter begin.
  22. Leading the league in fumbles means losing close games. It's a proven theory, and in losing to texas, texas a&m, and to oklahoma we lost at least one fumble in each game... on our side of the 50!! That's HUGE. Taylor's adam's apple grew to the size of a football and caused a severe case of the chokes every time his pocket (lol, he was passing from the pocket?) broke down, and most of the time, his first reaction was to go BACKWARDS???!!! In the fourth quarter, we should have had Green already warmed up and ready to go so he could finish the game. He has 10 times better pocket presence and all we needed was a 5 yard slant throw and catch. With Green, I feel we get that first down and at the very least have a chance to tie the game. Shawn Watson makes the worst adjustments of any coach in the history of football (going all the way back to the days of the vikings... the european ones that is). How we can be up 17-0, get the ball like 3 or 4 more times on their side of the 50 and come up with 3 points is beyond me. The offensive play calling was about as attractive as Holly Rowe... what ever happened to the roll out passes to take advantage of the dual-threat quarterback? What happened to anything that resembled a vertical passing game? Why does the only guy who hasn't dropped a pass this year (Broekemeier) not run routes that arent 3 yards deep? What happened to pitches and types of runs like draws QB keepers that dont involve reads? What happened to T-Freshman actually keeping the ball on the zone read?? And finally WHAT HAPPENED TO ROY HELU IN THE SECOND HALF??? K... Im done. EDIT: Im am now in the "fire watson" buggy as well. The things that made him a great coordinator two years ago, he has abandoned. We do not use roll-out passes, we dont do pitches, we dont have vertical passes, we dont have any set runs outside of the i-formation, we rarely do play action, and we have zero variety and take very little use of a MOBILE (not a pocket passer!!!) quarterback. How can we have a successful offense with a 2* QB with mediocre speed, and an average arm, but not have any success with a QB that fits almost the exact same skillset as Ganz, just upgraded speed and arm strength, and to some extent, accuracy? Any team can defend themselves against 5 total plays, and that exactly what they did tonight 1. Zone Read (always goes to RB) 2. I-formation run 3. short slant pass, or button hook 4. wildcat run 5. wildcat pass 6. SCREEN PASS (although not used tonight)
  23. Those two never fail to get me pumped up yeah yeah... i fixed it...
