I am highly confident that Martinez will be starting on Saturday. It's his dad that was causing the problems, taylor stood up for Bo and Nebraska and against his dad for once, and all is good in the hood. However... i did read all of these people saying that taylor has attitude issues and he isn't a good fit here and he should leave if it's that bad, etc. and i thought to myself 'self, this is a lot of people saying the same thing'. ...I then farted, lol'd, and said 'too bad taylor played through the pain vs. A&M for us, too bad he led us to a record pace before the Missouri game, too bad he stood up to his own father to stay here, too bad he is just a socially-awkward freshman who has plenty of time to mature, and too bad the reason he doesn't have many friends on the team is just because he feels they arent that important after moving to three different high schools his last three years in Cali. Otherwise, they'd totally be right.' guys, he's a freshman, only confident in his football skills, that was told to act like the top dog on teh team and be a leader. How would you expect someone like that to react? In my opinion, just like he has.

T-Magic sr. tried to pull taylor out of Nebraska and brought it up with the admissions people. (very similar to taylor's days as a high-schooler too). However this time, Taylor apparently stood up to dad and said something to the effect of "no." I admire this kids balls and his loyalty after he stood up to his dad over something like this. Glad he's still with us for now.

This is awful news, but im surprised how quickly some posters would turn on their starting quarterback. taylor's done a lot this year, and has shown a lot of improvement. I still stick by what i said at the beginning of the year and that's that he is simply shy and awkward, and not selfish. He may have wanted to quit the team in the offseason because he wasn't getting looked at very seriously until after the spring game at QB. His primary reason for committing here was because we told him we'd take a look at him at QB, so that at least makes sense to me. I still trust that he loves Nebraska, and that there is nothing more to this, and most of these posters have said the same thing for most of the season.

Did anyone else catch that the clip of Osborne hitting Gabbert was played almost every time the defense took the field, and in the pre-game video? Those "barbarians" in the media room even went so far as to show Blaine rolling on the ground in agony. I think, Nick Bromberg, that you might have made the bulletin board in the huskervision room.

even the glorious paul rhoads didnt have his team ready to play against OU, Utah, or iowa... and hes supposed the be the best in the country at such things... pelini is an an excellent coach.

quick thing: the computers had mizzou 4th and bama 14th... so lsu probably doesnt gain as much from the win, but we probably lose a little due to mizzou losing

honestly i dont see us losing another game until our bowl. the only chance for a let down was today. next week we get taylor back, and they are unbelievably overmatched. aTm needs no motivation, going to the 12th man will be motivation enough. Colorado will be our "finish" game that texas was not. We will come to play against OSU/OU in the big XII champ. i honestly see us only having one loss at seasons end

yes that was an obvious pick, but that was after the paul return i think so if he doesnt go bowling then they dont get 7 points either way.

quick hit about our defense's struggles: i lost count or how many times our guys lost their footing in coverage, most likely due to the fact that we were playing on grass. the only other time we will have to play on grass this season (minus the bowl game because that's a possibility) is at A&M. They should have only scored about 3 points. Niles doesn't fumble on our ten and they only have 17 and never get to overtime. another play (TD against ciante evans) the cb slipped and was sliding before their guy caught the ball. we were missing an all-american candidate at corner, and our primary hybrid for much of the game (Gomes) and had to play our worst cover db (west) much of the game. we get better cleats and we hold them to 10 or less. easy. just looks like we actually pretty well on d to me. (besides gomes missing like 3 huge tackles which are excusable to some extent in my book because he played dinged up and the other guy was like 6'5")

i got a sick feeling in my stomach when i watched this... similar to the one i got while watching the clint malarchuk injusry or 2 guys one horse. An inch or two further and that d******d could have killed or paralyed rex. Head up by legate to not only push rex's head back down but then to push that prick off of him. Rex thanked him on the sideline after, but god, that could have been awful.
