  1. This is a good sign for us. I don't know about that. If he announces on Dec 1, that means he could still be on his official at Madison (depending on the time of day of his announcement). That would make for a rather awkward visit, if he flips to the Huskers. If he is currently "committed" to a school why set an announcement date? He's really not committed to Wisconsin it appears.
  2. What two? Tommy had a terrible game with turnovers. What other position didn't step up? I thought the whole team played quite well. No turnovers, or even three fewer turnovers, and we win that game. I said one or two just because I don't like blaming one position. Unfortunately I don't see a second position we didn't play well at.
  3. Wasn't surprised we did what we did. Had we not fumbled like we did it would have been Beck, Garrison, and Cotton's finest hour. In no way can you place the blame on the OL. We really played good enough to win the game at every position accept one or two.
  4. This place is a circus.

"Take me out to the ball game,

Take me out with the crowd.

Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,

I don't care if I never get back,

Let me root, root, root for the home team,

      If they don't win it's a shame.

Oh Wait, that was for baseball games!

The rancher I worked for in high school said wearing a condom is like wearing a raincoatin the sshower. He was a wise fellow.

  5. with a lot less experience... Not true. You're being serious, right? Scott's been a coach, on the college level since 2007, where Bo has been a coach on the College and Pro level since 94... I think Frost's experience on both sides of the ball in the NFL counts for something. Obviously not the same as coaching, but it's definitely experience Bo doesn't have and experience is experience. I think you said it all when you said "not the same as coaching." He played pro ball. Awesome. That is something that nobody can take away from him. But that in no way equates to coaching knowledge. There was nobody that questioned that Bo was worthy and deserving of a shot as a HC when he was hired. He had enough experience and success that he was deserving of a promotion. The same cannot be said about Frost.
  6. I dont have the appropriate emotican to express the dumbass smirk I had on my face when reading this. FIFY +1 Appreciate the help and was expecting no less from you or ADS.
  7. Well, UCLA told him to name his price. So I'd like to hear another reason other than we can pay him a lot of money because at least the last time he was seriously approached, he turned a lot of money down. You've been told this before, but more money, better facilities in place to recruit, a better conference for more BCS success and Lincoln is more like his hometown than la is. Here's something you haven't heard before: My uncle was an accounting professor at Boise State. He is now a big time booster at BSU. My mother was out for the BSU - Southern Miss game and sat in his press box. The common feeling among the boosters out there is that if he didn't leave to UCLA he was going to be there till he retired. I had a conversation with QMany about this Saturday as my mom was telling the story. Last I checked, accountants...even accounting professors don't make enough coin to be considered *big time* boosters. See the bolded. Notice how I said "was?" He is not an accounting professor anymore.

  9. why? The line is already better this year in Garrisons first year. And the TEs are god awful this year. Im not to high on his coaching ability. he still helps with the OL. the TE position is made up of 4 freshmen, 3 redshirt freshmen, 2 sophomores and 1 senior who has been hurt most of the year. of the underclassmen, one was on the defense last year and one has been injured for parts of the year this year, IIRC. not too sure but i think only half of them are on scholarship as well. I forgot about all those penalties we had last year too. Alright.
  10. This was covered earlier in the post. By a pretty cool guy I might add. Many things are different now than they were ten years ago Except for the main part, where we are the only school in history to fire a 9 win coach, which lead to a near apocalypse, and now we are discussing doing it all over again. Ohio St. waves hi. Jim Tressel would still be there had there been no NCAA investigation/sanctions There have been times NUPolo has had good points. This isn't one of them.
  11. I can agree with that however I still think we can be competitive but seems to me there are still a lot of people who reference Osborne + 90's teams who ran the ball and had a nasty defense. They had an identity unlike this team where our identity is so... We can use the blueprint, but overall I just don't see us ever being like we were in the 90s
  12. It is largely believed that our 90s run will probably never happen again for 95% of CFB teams.
  13. 9 wins doesn't mean anything until we start winning less than that number.
  14. Yes the pro-Nebraskans that would rather see us lose to Penn. St., Iowa, and whatever bowl game we end up in. What is best for the long term of the program? If you feel that Pelini is hampering the program from reaching expectations you would see the need to lose to bring in someone else. If you believe Pelini is the answer than you want him to win out. It is all how you view the program and its trajectory. Personally I am of the belief that Pelini and his band of misfit toys need to leave Lincoln. However, when I watch a game I cannot and never will be able to cheer against them. But when we do lose it does not hurt like it used to because it is potentially one step closer to what I feel will make this program better in the future. Is this apathy or something else? Maybe a little of both but all these debates center around the fact that people are divided on who should lead our program. All of us are equal fans of this team I just read this post and can't believe it. So you get angry when the "kool aid" is flowing but yet basically it's okay to want your team to lose because its better for us long term. You are ridiculous.
  15. This is me saying its a forgone conclusion he would have been better. Alright. Considering what I want to say to you would probably awaken mods I'm just going to shake my head and thank the flying spaghetti monster I don't have to go through life with your grasp on things. K
  16. Calling for my head because we disagree EZ? Actually he is correct, you do only show up after a loss. Really ONLY after a loss? I recall posting during wins as well last season. Have I been gone a portion of the season this year? Sure have because I can only read so much Kool Aid before I punch my screen. I have had this stance for over a year and it has been shown in all of my posts dating back to last season. I am not a seasonal complainer Where have you been recently?
  17. So you are basing the idea of Bo being removed on what Vegas thinks? Where do you get the idea we'll open up the checkbook if a change is made? A magic 8 ball? How much did we pay our new AD? We are not playing around anymore and bargain shopping. Take that to the bank EZ Take this to the bank as well: Unless he is fired for cause, Bo will be the head coach next year. Should I take that to the bank with "Bo recruits better than Callahan" too? All I'd ask for is an elaboration as to why you say it.

  20. This place turned into a circus lead by a guy that only shows up after a loss. A loss in which was actually well coached for the majority of the game. Knapp, remember that thread about seasonal Birchers? Is this not the shining example?
  21. I'm unsure about why Coleman wasn't hired the first time around. I don't see a reason currently to remove Barney. We did just run when we wanted to on the "best defense in the nation." JP, we have seen a huge improvement defensively. We've been very fortunate to stay healthy on that side of the ball as well. Up for debate.

  23. I am of the opinion Ganz would be a good hire at that position.
