  1. unbelievable. 2 games in a row they should've won and lost. frusturating stuff
  2. actually their best player is a freshman, alec burks... the guy had around 20 points in the game. And Nebraska blows, i'm an all sports husker fan but its tough with these guys they just aren't getting the job done.
  3. you sound like the rest of the classless, idiot, cocky, ignorant, and plain rude longhorn fans i came across in Dallas this past weekend. your statements have little to no validity when looked at more closely, as many have already pointed out. i only take the time to point out this: after the bad call with the downed texas player at the 1, texas moved into nebraska territory before an incredible pick by dejon gomes set up the Huskers final drive. Yet, the bad call set up our field position for the field goal???? not to mention the fact that the player probably wouldn't have gotten to the 10 anyway. congratulations on your bs tainted win, and having a coach with the refs in his back pocket.
  4. Illegal Participation might not be the right penalty, but too many players on the field or something? Regardless of whether or not they are participating in the play, you can't have players & coaches on the field during a live play. I know that it didn't affect the play, but it would have been called at any other point in the game so it should be called at the end as well. The rules don't change for the last minute of play. & to the earlier reply, you are correct that we are now even for the Michigan game. I would prefer a BIG 12 Championship though over an Alamo Bowl victory during the Callahan era??? from what i witnessed, the rules change during the last minute of play when texas can potentially benefit, because the basic rules and common practices of time keeping were thrown out so that texas could have one more shot. i would have loved to see them call that on texas but that would likely mean taking away a win from mack brown, something you'll never see
  5. Yes Sir!!! Come on now D lets do a better job this time around and get the win!
  6. Anyone else think this is the week we rack up some yards, score some touchdowns, and blow somebody out? Kansas is really struggling on both sides of the ball right now. Seems like the time and the team to do it against.
  7. we freakin did it huge win for the Big Red lets go win the Big 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. who said are D needed to learn to hold onto the ball? whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  9. who has the better view, us at home watching on tv or Bo? plus it's the first instinct to think "oh bad pitch"... that's what i thought until the replay.
  10. player of the game so far is Dillard, playing posessed! And Suh like always
  11. And why, exactly? It's already been shown it doesn't matter which QB is in, the entire offense is struggling. How many examples of this are required before it finally sinks in with some of you people? Turnovers: Zac Lee 1 Green 0 That's what I'm looking at. Oh, I can play that game. TD's...Lee 1, Green 0. Not to mention the fumble was Helu's fault. Next? Touchdown from the 1 yard line? And that pitch was Helu's fault? Drink some Lee Kool-Aid lately? It was a bad pitch from Lee. It basically hit Roy in the helmet. But Roy was looking up field instead of at the ball. Goes both ways. I hit him in the helmet after it hit him in the hands, which were at his chest. That's on helu all the way, can't drop that!!!!

  13. It means the Huskers will win the game, that's all...
  14. I'm surprised he was able to add 27 and 28 to get 55 "people been racking up points.." what points?
  15. I think it's funny that you doubt this is a very strong top 10 defense in the country when two thirds of the way through the season they are #4 in the nation. Numbers don't lie... or do they. True points scored on the D in the big 12... Mizzou 10, TT 24, Ia St. 6, Baylor 3 which is a total of 19 points less than they get blamed for on the stats sheet. and like in the deed said, why blitz when you can get consistent pressure with the D-line? Secondly, if 28 points is what it takes to win, then Nebraska has about a 5% chance of winning, seeing as to how we haven't scored 28 on anyone other than the sunbelt.
  16. I agree with most of what you say, however with Nebraska there will be no changing expectations. It is in our blood to expect a good footabll team every year, and that is just the way it is. Trev Alberts said something along those lines when Mark May was so puzzled as to why solich was fired after 2003. I think people are angry and dissapointed because they expected improvement, which we have clearly seen on the defensive side of the ball. I think they have exceeded all expectations in that area. Unfortunately we have taken a major step back with the offense, and that is probably where expectations were a little high, myself included. I predicted a 10 win regular season, going 1-1 against va tech oklahoma and winning the north. With everything that's happened with the offense, things just aren't clicking. 2 of those goals are still attainable, but a bit unlikely. I'll tell you though, the effort is clearly there, something that I couldn't say in 2007, which is why at this point the only thing more disappointing to me than the offense struggling is people booing and leaving with the game in doubt.
  17. This game will more than likely be the nail in the coffin for this program. Our history is now ancient, we havent played for a title in 9 years or a major bowl, we have pretty much been a doormat in the conference since then. If we take another beat down on National T.V. it really is not doing us any favors. I dont know how many nationally televised games we can get our asses handed to us before we become completely irrelevant, but I am suspecting this to be the one that does it. a bit strong
  18. well you can't double team both of them. Didn't seem to be a problem for Iowa State. pretty sure it did, as it has for everyone
  19. How bout the option winning the game... If you meant keeping the game competitive, then ya, i agree with you completely, I sure as hell hope we don't get blown out, but I also am sick of hearing people wishing to not get killed. For the facts.. Nebraska is at home, it is a night game, they have the #4 defense in the country, Oklahoma is without their heisman hopeful qb, Oklahoma gave up 30 to kansas st., at home, Nebraska should be motivated from last years 1st quarter humiliation, Oklahoma's weak spot (most would agree) is their offensive line while Nebraska's strong spot on the strength of their team is the defensive line, Nebraska finished well after a 5-3 start last year, Oklahoma has the same number of losses (clearly better losses though), Bo Pelini is a strong motivator, and vegas seems to think it will be closer than 75% of this board thinks (I'll be the first to point out that vegas is wrong a lot, but not as much as they are right). It is a proven fact that the public is wrong more times than they are right. All that said, anything could happen in this game, as always. I'm sure you are a huge fan, and probably a bit more realistic than myself haha, I can't help it though. Go Big Red
  20. if that is true then your name "skersfan" is a lie... true fans are not happy with a close game or keeping it within ten, especially nebraska fans... give me a break
