    Serious question: when Mike Krzyzewski first started coaching, his name was pronounced [Kris] - [shevsky]. At what point did everyone start pronouncing it [shoe] - [shevsky]? There's is no SH at the beginning of his name. Yes, it's dumb, but damn it annoys me when people say Shoeshevsky. Is this the actual correct pronunciation?

      Heck lilred, even that makes more sense tha Shoeshevsky.

      Probably INS messing up another foreign name so the family kept the pronunciation but changed the spelling.
