True whats occuring is through the app you're logged in with your password causing it to become a secure connection using your login information(the "S" in https). Through the browser it's not attaching your secure connection as you aren't immediately logged in.

Huskerboard has never allowed https codes to embed, which makes sense, but is also annoying, especially for people who aren't well versed with web protocol.

Yea I guess it does make sense, I hadn't really seen that before. It's deceptive because when you post the comment it shows both links in the post as identical, it's not til you try to edit the post that you see the actual https part of the URL.
