  1. Congrats to Baptiste and I hope he makes the most of this opportunity. What baffles me is as complicated as we have been told the defensive scheme is, how does this guy change positions and become a starter in 3 weeks? Does that say something about how bad the other guys are? Or how good Baptiste is? Or does it tell us that the secondary coach may be having a hard time with this group? What does it say about this staff that we had all spring and fall to find a guy, rotated 3 different guys, and end up starting an entirely new guy at the position? Shouldn't this have been figured out quite some time ago?
  2. Looks like fun to me. Being a Husker fan, I have to say, I would like it if Nebraska had a bit of fun like this. It may bring the crowd and team together a bit more. Us slamming Badger fans? Or maybe a bit jealous?
  3. Plus, have you seen Bill Snyder lately? No way we get beat by that.
  4. I don't care what K-State is rated. We own their ass regardless.
  5. We have a tough remaining schedule. Should be good to watch.
  6. Bo can't expect fans to control their tempers and act respectable all the time. I mean, shouldn't he look in the mirror and see the way he's handled himself here the last few years. I'm a Pelini fan, but just sayin'. I can go on youtube and find quite a few examples of Bo making some pretty bad choices. Point the thumb Bo. You should be issuing an apology yourself for some of the things you've done.
  7. I didn't say we would win......Just answered the question in the OP. That's who I would like to play.
  8. Mich. St. defense looks pretty decent. You have to be good to shut down Robinson like that. One thing noone has really talked about is that I believe there was some extremely high winds in this game? That changes almost everything. Weather is always a huge factor, and I think it may have been a factor in today's game. Michigan is clearly limited in it's passing game with Robinson at the helm. I think Mich. St. offense could have looked better without that wind hampering their passing game. I will say this........I think both of these teams have what it takes to make it very interesting with us. I can't wait to watch these games. Should be damn good ones.
  9. LOL. I know this probably doesn't belong here. But I thought it was funny considering it took me a few minutes to realize what the hell I was missing.
  10. Hell yea, good thread dude. Offensive line deserves credit. They have definitely been an improved unit this year. As long as we keep getting better, I find nothing to complain about up front.
  11. 1. This thread has nothing to do with Nebraska fans, and 2. No, not every fan base is the same, so let's not give this thread the broad brush. Your comments do nothing but serve to distract the topic of this discussion. This is about Wisconsin students and the behavior of the students in particular. I have an interest in this. You clearly didn't read the article attached to the original post. My comment has everything to do with that article this post was based upon, and not the letter to students that was brought up halfway through the discussion board.
  12. I can't say any of this is a surprise to me. What would be surprising is if any Husker fans were dumb enough to actually think that there aren't Nebraska fans who act foolishly towards opposing fans as well. This "best fan's in the country" label really brings out a weird holier than thou mentality sometimes. I wouldn't want it to make Nebraska fans think that we are any different than any other fans in the country. Fact of the matter is, every fan base is the same. We all have good ones, bad ones, and those in the middle. As far as the letter posted above.......if that's true, then yes, they have some things to work on in Madison. I have never heard or seen anything like that in Memorial Stadium.
  13. you must be new here. nice to meet you. sincerely, internet message board. Oh I see, that's the excuse.
  14. Good Lord, Dr. Tom has a point. You fu&*#r's just like to find sh#t to fight about. Quit yer' bitchin'.
  15. Sheezus, are you sobbing while writing this? If you don't like your spot, I know plenty of people who will take it for you.
  16. It seems even more bizarre that we don't talk about it. We have ten threads about the offense/QB for every thread about the defense. We have articles written about our coach, our RBs, our QB, our offensive scheme from the local press in about the same ratio. Everyone spends half the summer worried about when the defense will get their Blackshirts, and suddenly... nothing. It's weird. I just made a comment about how great the offense looks under Beck. What a coincidence that the offense is coming up and the defense is taking a step back when the last few years has been exactly the opposite. I think the reason people are not panicking is because they trust the fact that the defense has been so successful for the last few years with Pelini at the helm. Everybody has grown so tired off watching the offense that we are all out of excuses for it. Even though this is Beck's first year, which I understand, I think most have just seen the offense cost us too many games. They are on a far shorter leash than the defensive unit right now. I mean, really, the defense has earned our respect over the last few years have they not?
  17. I don't know when the last time was. The last few year's with no offense seemed so long. I really think we are doing some great things this year offensively. People have to remember, this is Beck's first year, but like you said, Ohio State was a top defense and we looked excellent against them. I am blown away that the offense is coming together and now the defense decides to have a down year. Still, I trust in the Pelini's and believe the Defense will improve quickly. With the improvements we've seen on offense, things can only get better from here. In my humble opinion.
  18. We haven't had a play like that all year. Then this guy comes in and does it in just a few series. Hell yes, the man should be on the field in my opinion. Let's git er' done coaches! The kids a playmaker! Although, his talents could still be utilized at WR too. We may not want to forget that. Bo said in his conference call today that he expects Stanley to start vs Minnesota. I guess it was so obvious that he didn't bother to take his usual wait and see approach. Wow. Bo didn't even say his usual "we'll see, it's a week to week battle in practice". I've always thought he was kind of full of it with that whole saying anyway. I mean, Courtney Osborne was a beast on this team last year. If he earned that job in practice, what the hell could he possibly have done to lose it. Bo's doghouse is f'ing' huge man!
  19. Your lucky you don't sit in sec 35 or you would be escorted out because you offended half the fans in that section. Yea dude, every game I've been to, if I said anything like that in my seats I would be enemy of the state. Plus, I somehow keep the foul language to a minimum considering there are usually some youngster's around. For those who know me, keeping my language in check is pretty tough, but around the kiddies I manage it. I don't know how I do it.
