Do what I did last year during the Mizzou game. When we scored our first TD my wife was going to the bathroom and she was not allowed to come back out till the game was over. She was a good sport about it and luckly the TV wasn't too far from the bathroom where she could still watch the game. So if we start to do good and your dog is outside, leave him outside till the game is over I did something similar to that during the 05 tech game. When we got down 21-0, i went to bed and turned the radio on. was gonna take a nap. my faith was about shot. sure enuff two scores made it 21-14 at half. came out to see tech go back up 28-14, then decided it was done. so i went back to bed with the radio on. we came back for lead i'll be damned. up 31-28, i decided i wanted to see the end and celebration on the big tv. enuff said.

these guys are getting paid millions to play, maybe he should hang on to the dang ball and make sure it's a touchdown before running of to showboat.

I gotta throw this in their, but after watching my Chiefs hold off the chargers tonight, i think the Chiefs most resemble the 09 Huskers. Good defense the bent backwards but didnt break, got a lead with points from all parts of the game, then a very conservative, mistake free offense to hold on. Plus, Arrowhead was totally electric tonight. This game was so similar the 09 Oklahoma game in my mind.

Colorado lost to one a few years back, then a week later that team was upset by division 2 Chadron St.

Last year's vid was good, was made epic with the addition before the Oklahoma game. This years is good, but it just seems a little short, and feels like it's just missing something. I think the extra psych-up addition for the SOUTH DAKOTA STATE game will do wonders for this year's version and really make it what it's meant to be.

It has a alot to do with what scheme theyre in. First of all, the d-lines in cerain situations is NOT to penetrate and try to wreak havoc, but rather make contact with the o-line and sustain that contact enuff to keep them off the scraping linebackers. The d-line is to the linebackers as the o-line is to the qb's and rb's.

First off, dont get off too much by the win over the Jesus Trojans last season. Comparing that USC team to this current Nebraska team is just plain offensive. USC wound up being a very mediocre team. Ending, i just agree with everyone else when it comes to uw's offense not having any idea what they are gonna see. The Pelini have a way of shutting down the best, and the list is growing.

The big advantage for Martinez is the emphasis on detail by him and the backs. The fakes on them read plays, and carrying out of the fakes by both taylor and the rex/roy/dontrey. are incredibly. On Taylor's first touchdown run, BOTH the lb and de crashed down on Roy, while it seemed like the rest of d were already corraling on him. by the time they figured out taylor had the ball, it was too late. I dont care how good or fast of a defense you have, when our guys are playing and carrying out fakes like that, no one's gonna stop it when they have to sit to figure out who has the ball, or guess at who has the ball.

Not to mention you think Turner maybe had some ideas on how to slow down/stop Tech's offense?

and another difference is our quarterback was not bood the week before Washington encouraging him to explode onto the national stage, and we did not trail idaho at halfime. One thing i do like is that as the nation looks at our score from yesterday, they say "eh, only a 21 point win" Only people watching nows how dominate we were. I hope we get to continue to quietly creep along, under the radar if you will.

I am not worried about Washington. I am not worried about Kansas St. I am not even worried about Texas. Texas is not that great of a team right now. Oklahoma St. worries me. More because of when it is, rather than who they are. You said we could look ahead. But all in all, this team gets some things corrected and fine tuned, and theyre going places.

Honestly, T-Mart needs to be modeled and formed after T-Mart.

I had a guy ask me friday if the team we saw in the wku game was really a top ten team, i said "the whole game no, the first quarter, yes" So i say the same about yesterday, the team we saw in the first half is the one we will see throughout the year, hopefully minus the offenses turnouvers and unfinished drives. Tho the diminishing focus that has taken place throughout these to blowout wins is a little concerning, i really dont think it's gonna happen in a four quarter game. I think we should also look away a bit about it after the year they had to go thru last season with week after week coming down to the final second. There will be improvement, so i will not worry until we get up on washing 35-0 at halftime and then only win 35-17.

So far the most encouraging thing is that the eye-popping issues from last week seemed to be well corrected, which in turn have exposed others. Now they'll get corrected. By K-State this could be a rolling team.

I once witnessed at Arrowhead right in front of me in row 6 on thanksgiving in 06 a Chiefs fan pay a Bronco fan 100 bucks for sign he was holding and shirt he was wearing in order to tear them up. the chief fan was at least in his 40's, and the bronco was no older than 20, with a group of 10 or so others. Well i'm gonna throw this out there, if Boise State runs the table now, and walks thru their conference, then it's time to give em a shot. That time has come in college football. Theyve proved they deserve it in the past, and so did Utah. It's just time.

I saw and heard the noise but it took a few seconds to register what was actually going on and why all the noise was being made, then it was "ok so martinez gets the nod, neat."

It was it's loudest when Taylor was shown with the other backs during the lineup intros bout a half hour before kickoff. We sat above the students and they all went bazerk.

That's why it's so special here, and Callahan and Peterson lost sight of that. I see the point of disucussing some of the negatives, but things like "is martinez to cocky?" and "cosgrove must be back" and "washington and k-state are gonna beat us". I know it's only a minute select few, but it's just stupid. What cant EVERYONE, yes everyone, just sit back and enjoy what's going on in our program. Most of us, a huge majority, have never experienced what we're going thru right now, a rise back to the top after a 10 year stretch of mediocrity if not irrelativity at times. I'm just sick of neggys

I just dont understand why 9 out of 10 cant find anything positive about last night. We have an awesome year defensively last year, that didnt explode till 3-4 games in, and now we think we're too good to give up 10 (17) in the first game. I just dont get it.
