Can we call BS on this? From what I remember their helmets hit, but Martin lead with his shoulder. The Okie State player was taller than Eric so when he hit him his head jerked forward into Martin's helmet. The only thing I saw wrong with it was his reaction, should've looked for another block instead of celebrating.

The Boise State Bus, his own little charge to get Boise State into the National Championship game and the fact that the non-AQs are being jumped in the polls by AQ teams. Pretty much an effective screw you to the BCS establishment and the monopoly that the AQ conferences have on the national championship game.

Lucky is a name I'm kind of surprised is on that list, considering he's been labeled as a bust by a great amount of Nebraska fans. He owns the single season reception record at 70+ in '07 and had 1700+ yards in that season. He didn't fulfill his potential but he was still a very good back for Nebraska.

If anything it was incidental helmet to helmet. Martin lead with his shoulder but when he hit him their helmets banged. Wasn't malicious at all, just Martin being Martin (maybe someone should talk to him about that though, just as a danger to get a penalty). Though I would've liked for him to move on and look for the next guy rather than celebrating the hit.

Hagg's good, just as long as he doesn't have to cover streaks, has a real hard time finding the ball in that position.

Looked like the play was designed to be similar to what Oregon does sometimes, inside fake/give to the RB and then the option with the inside receiver.

Oklahoma in '08

God Martinez is playing lights out from the pocket. Very good escapability, made more than 1 man miss when he had a hand on him.

What a difference a week can be when the receivers actually catch a pass. Martinez looking real good passing the ball today. Still having some bad throws, but most of his throws have been catchable balls.

Need to get the guy covering Blackmon some help. Also the D on the flea flicker was horrendous, looked like Dennard and Smith were jogging after the play instead of going after it. Offense Martinez has been impressive throwing the ball. And overall the offense has done pretty good, but the defense needs to step it up if they want to win.

That looked like the guy was running down the field, need to get a different angle on it but it looked like it was just an ear hole hit that happens all the time. It wasn't malicious, just how Martin plays. Doesn't mean that someone needs to talk to him about that type of stuff.

Just got caught off guard by the hurry up, defense is going to be fine. Weedon is 0-4 or 5 now.

Henery is the man and that wasn't a fake punt, Henery's just smart enough to know that he had enough room to get the first down. Great play by Henery was rewarded by a great throw and catch by Taylor and Kinnie, but damn Kinnie bring that ball in you're going to fumble it.

Stupid Texas

Little piece on PTI on Woodhead today. In the 5 minutes with Jaws today Jaws pronounced him as his favorite player in the NFL.

To the guy who said Smith was out of position on Gilbert's first td, I don't think he was. From the replay it looked like he was manned up with the receiver going in motion. But otherwise it looked like he played a good game, not great, but then there was probably no one you could say played a great game Saturday. Think we should just swap Smith and Thenarse on plays when we go to the Peso, and just have Gomes and Smith at Safety.

The Thenarse facemask penalty was a facemask penalty, just very weak and questionable because they dropped the 5 yard penalty. It was a 5 yard penalty, but since that doesn't exist anymore it ended up being a 15 yarder. And the Sirles holding, Sirles looked like he grabbed just enough of Acho's jersey to pull him off line to give Lee enough time to get the ball to Helu.

It does, but the rule doesn't make sense. Seems like a holdover from the year where the clock ran no matter to shorten games.

I know the one guy who got booed (a CB) got flattened by Henry or Williams or another O-lineman. He tried to cut him at the knees or something and the o-lineman just kind of fell on him and looked to pinch his neck or something. That one looked like a legit injury, but he probably could've gotten off the field.

If Compton was available to play they should've changed things up and went with Smith and Gomes at Safety and taken Thenarse out. Thenarse has been decent for us this year, he just couldn't get it started yesterday and seemed to be going for a big play over how he'd been playing all year. The emotion of the game got to him too much. PJ Smith is a baller though, outside of Hagg, Dennard, and Amukamarah he probably played the best out of anyone on defense (think he was our leading tackler, saw he had 9 tackles at one point anyways).
