  1. WOW. When did Nebraska fans turn into aggys? I'm almost speechless from what I've seen and heard from NU fans. I just showed this thread to my friend (NU grad) and he is embarrased. I'm sorry that I enjoyed watching your defense play. Would you rather get blown out and not have our respect? Its nice of your fan base to be so ugly, nice to throw a few things onto the field, nice to flip off and boo Mack and our fans as he gave you congrats (like EVERY coach does after winning any type of championship). I guess losing really does bring out the worst in people. This fanbase has changed drastically in this decade. Didn't earn anything??? Child please. We'll be rooting for you in the bowl game. Sorry you can't do the same. Hook'em
  2. The correct call was made, and I don't think its debatable. How many times before that play did they have to reset the clock during the game? At least three if I remember correctly. I know it sucks to lose that way, but there was clearly a second left when the ball hit.
  3. Sorry it had to end that way for you, but all of the right calls were made (for the most part). There were some bad calls that went against both teams. I'll that at that. Great defensive effort by your guys as ususal. I really don't understand and still can't figure out what our gameplan was. I figured at some point we would realize that our plays should NOT go towards Suh. And why we didn't throw the ball downfield more and challenge your secondary is beyond me. You guys are easily the best team we've played this season and congrats on a great season. Good luck in the bowl game, we'll be rooting for you.
  4. I've come to the conclusion that its best to not trust what anyone says (including myself here). Too many times the media says one thing and the truth is the exact opposite. We've had a problem with our "insiders" like Chip Brown and Geoff Ketchum reporting breaking news like this, and especially with recruits. Either way, we'll see. Let's hope everyone is healthy and remains that way. It's hard to stay injury free when you play against rough defenses like the two of ours.
  5. Chip will be back on the air at 1, I'm sure it will be a main topic. That said, I bet he still plays. He's a very tough SOB. And of course we want your team to be healthy as well. Leave those comments for the sooners and aggys. Btw, how is Lee? I assumed since he came back in against CU that he would be good to go for our game.
  6. I'm obviously not trying to start a rumor, and ill apologize if its false, but its being reported on Austin radio.
  7. Don't have a link, but he was limping after the A&M game, was seen in a boot earlier this week. And just this morning it started coming out. Chip brown was talking about it on his morning show.
  8. Shipley is possibly going be a game time decision. Reports that its an ankle injury or turf toe. Even if he plays, he won't be 100%. Sigh. Fml.
  9. Yeah I'm not sure why you'd even bother reading anything from the Bleacher Report, I know I don't. Anyone can write an article there. And actually the more ya'll read it, the more money that guy makes.
  10. They did nothing to ensure us to walk out of College Station 12-0.
  11. Always been a fan of NU when I can. Glad ya'll are back in the championship game. College Football isn't the same without Nebraska. Will be making my first trip to Lincoln next year. Already got the hotel booked.
  12. I like it! I'll have to start chiming in after I roll in after watching MNF. Shaggy bevo is a pretty good site, just don't let them get to you. Pretty much anything goes on that site. Which is why it's so good I guess, ha. And yeah, the story to my username goes way back.
  13. Ha, let's see how many TCU fans start a thread this week. What is this? #3?
  14. I posted this on a different thread, but wanted to say again that you guys are welcome to come by our tailgate on Saturday for a beer, some food, a jager bomb if you dare, and some good football talk. PM if you want some details on where we'll be.
  15. This is scary, its so much like our season this year. Our non-conference loss to VTech, the back to back losses to TTU and ISU. The final 4 game regular season wins to secure our spot in the Big 12 North. Agreed. I've said for the past week that these two games are eerily similar, just reversed roles.
  16. There are parking passes and then there are tailgate parking passes. I know the lots open at 12 (I was hoping for earlier, starting to tailgate after 7am just isn't right with my group). If any of you are interested we will have a big tailgate in Lot 12. Feel free to come by for a beer, or a jager bomb, ha. You can PM and I can tell you more.
  17. Another mistake by a Freshman. DJ Monroe, our FR kick returner was arrested a few weeks ago also. It's a big deal because it makes us look bad, but as far as our games it's not. Davis is a special team guy only, and we just moved Shipley and Malcom Williams back to the KR, along side of Marquis Goodwin who ran that kick back for the TD against A&M.
  18. Well yeah, but they switch from the South to the North every year, so yall get the same advantage. If we were playing in KC this year it would be 70-30, maybe even 80-20 NU fans.
  19. Yeah, Tre has been our best back the past few weeks. Our OL, as big and experienced as it is, isn't as great as one would think. It is a solid line don't get me wrong, and they've been playing a lot better the past few games, but their run blocking in the first half of the season was not good. We have 4 good backs, 3 that have been getting the carries lately. They've all been a little dinged up here and there for different games. Cody Johnson is a very big back and had a great game against Baylor (109 yds, 2 TDs) who will get a few carries, but I assume Newton will start and get the most of the carries. He's had 109 yds against A&M. He's a smaller and quicker back, but has started to show some strength by breaking some tackles. Fozzy Whittaker is the same type of back and will also get a few carries. Colt was our leading rusher last year, I think that's been beaten into the ground enough by now. But he hasn't really run as much this year, and it doesn't seem to be as much of his game plan. Even as good as he ran against A&M (190 yds) he even said after the game that he hadn't plan to run like that. But you'll have to plan for it. Especially if your line gets a good rush, you'll need a LB (and Suh in the middle) to make sure he doesn't escape. Which is what makes our offense so tough sometimes. You have to get to him, and you have to take him down. Give him enough time and he'll find someone open. Shipley is going to get open at some point so you need a good rush, and I know ya'll know that. Should be interesting and should be a great challenge for our offense as well as your defense.
  20. New to the board. I post on a few boards around the Big 12, not sure why I haven't registered here before. Anyway, just wanted to say how much I'm looking forward to the game. Easily the best two teams in the conference with the best two defenses. Could be a really tight game if our Defense doesn't shape up after the aggy game. Although, I think we are much better off against your offense then A&M's. Feel free to ask if you need any insight about the Horns. I'll be happy to discuss everything. Good luck guys. Hook'em!
  21. Yeah you can buy party passes. Which means you're are pretty much standing in a huge crowd and watching the video board.
  22. I know Nebraska travels well, always have, always will. But I think the crowd is going to be close to 70-30 Texas. The South side (Texas side) has been sold out for almost a month, leaving us to buy North side tickets. Although, it's hard to say because of the stupid allotments. Since we both get a combined 24,000 tickets, a lot of the lower level could be neither Texas or Nebraska fans. When the tickets went on sale to the public a long time ago, there were very few lower to mid level tickets. They were all upper deck. I'm excited to play in the new stadium, but it's pretty crappy that we don't get the good seats, and have to pay a premium for the crappy seats. Oh well. See ya there.
  23. We get the same amount of tickets that you do. There will just be more Texas fans there cause we've been buying tickets since they went on sale months ago.
