  2. They know how to use turn signals and obey stop signs; they're immediately better than Eastern Nebraska drivers on that basis alone. On-topic: I'd let Frost coach UCF's bowl game if he's coming here.
  3. It's a trade-off: drivers in Western NE are far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far better than the ones in Lincoln and Omaha.
  4. I've been impressed hearing him speak and watching him break film down. I have a funny feeling you'll see his name on a few "Up and Coming" lists in the near future. Plus, he's a finalist for the Broyles Award his year. Best keep ahold of him.
  5. If Frost bolts for us, I'd easily see his OC taking over.
  6. You know Jessica is probably a male postal worker from Des Moines, right?

  9. Sadly, I think our senators have already made up their minds (or cashed the checks), but still; fill up their phone lines.
  10. And now, they're coming for our internet.
  11. I honestly hope so, because I've been in camp Gebbia since he committed. Here's the rushing stats for UCF for the year: https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/schools/central-florida/2017.html
  12. I'll preface this by saying that I think Gebbia has the highest ceiling in terms of QBs on the roster, and I would prefer to see him start next year, even if Lee is here. That being said, Milton is UCF's second leading rusher in terms of both carries and yardage, so yes, the QB totes the rock. And yes, Gebbia is mobile, but not mobile enough to be successful in the type of offense that Frost would prefer to run (POB has, by far, the most experience running the ball, at least in terms of background). Scott will have to tailor his O (barring any Juco QBs) to use less QB run game next year because there's no one who can fully utilize that part of his offense.
  13. Because Gebbia fits Frost's offense only slightly better than Lee does. Don't let the Spring Game fool you; Gebbia is a pocket passer, not a dual threat. Out of all our current QBs, POB is probably the best fit.
  14. Here's something to take into consideration: he's playing behind what is probably the worst offensive line in modern program history. There's no threat of a running game, the OTs rarely can sustain a clean pocket, and the entirety of the left side of the line should be replaced next year. I think that Lee can be successful if given ample time in the pocket to read progressions. There's virtually no run component to his game, though, and I think that's what would ultimately sink or swim his opportunity to start in a spread system.
  15. You're right: that IS an unpopular opinion. Also, you've just described every Madden and Call of Duty release since the early 2000s.
  16. ...to any potential spread offenses we may switch to? More to the point; to a spread that doesn't emphasize the QB run game, but still features it? I know he left Tulane due to Willie Fritz's emphasis on QB run/zone read, but his offense thus far has featured QB run game much more heavily than the style/type of offense that I might have in mind. I think Tanner has a mildly compelling case to go pro this year, but if he were to acclimatize himself and excel in any new offense next year, he could bolster wherever his stock may currently be at.
  17. Who left the gate open? Two Frost threads got out into the wild this morning.
