  1. The revisionist history in this thread is amazing.
  2. You are an idiot. When he was healthy he was our best player. SO.. Mods, we are allowing name calling? And he wasn't our best player, he was our best POST player, which wasn't saying much at the time. Jordy actually supplanted him in that role late in the season. Watson and Webster were our best players throughout the course of the season. Remember that time against Wisconsin our BEST player missed two free throws and we lost the game shortly after? Some best player. Not statistically. Now as others have said, Jordy certainly has a higher ceiling. He definitely didn't surpass him this past season though. Also false, Jordy averaged more boards per minute than Ed did. So.... Over the last 5 games Jordy averaged 3.2 rebounds per game while Morrow averaged 3.25. Splitting hairs but Ed averaged more than Jordy did. So... I said per minute, which goes back to the "efficiency" people like to hit on. Jordy averaged more per minute. You can argue it's a minutes issue, but you can't make a blanket statement that he was the best rebounder. That is per minute. I averaged out both of theirs for the last 5 games. If you just look at the game averages alone Jordy is at 4.8 while Morrow is at 6.2. Either way you cut it per minute or per game, Morrow still out performs Jordy. Brb, let me go pick out 5 games were Jordy out rebounded Ed and I'll make my argument around that! /sarcasm Almost like using as random of a statistic as "rebounds per minute". Hey I'm going off of what Matty said which was the end of the season Jordy was the better post player than Morrow. Just looking at the arguments being made against Ed, nothing else. You and Matty go make up your minds on how you want to argue this and come back to us. My snark wasn't directed at you, good sir.

  4. Yea, they aren't bad results for a team that was in the MVC for a majority of that time. Creighton fans like to have an inflated sense of what their program actually is, though.
  5. How the tide has changed for many posters... I still think we are pretty talented. (Watson, Gill, McVeigh, Jacobson, Tshimanga, Roby, Copeland, Palmer, Taylor & Akenten + any transfers or new recruits fill open spots) Will still have a pretty solid 2 deep. Yea, they may win a game or two at the rec center. Attrition isn't done, either.
  6. As I said in the Horne thread, guys transferring every year is now a "thing" in college basketball. I'm not going to crucify Miles for that. Its the winning games that I have a problem with. This twit from 2 weeks ago shows each program should expect to lose 2-3 players/year. https://twitter.com/huskerextracb/status/842090042512273412 Generally speaking, I agree with you. Transfers are pretty common. But it's usually the Fuller/Horne type guys who are barely playing. Not so much guys who are starters/major contributors. Well, except for the very guy that transferred here, Copeland. We're counting on injured wash-outs from the Big East now? Might as well see if Zierdan has any eligibility left.
  7. Sharpe and Benning made a good point this morning: Eichorst isn't going to fire Miles at this point. It would send a terrible message to prospective coaches and recruit and it would be wishy washy, and Eichorst is nothing if not wishy washy. The conversation that I hope is happening is Eichorst talking to Miles about real estate in Dayton OH, Seattle and Willmington, NC.
  8. Couple of things: 1. It's kinda messed up that people are openly ok (some celebrating) with the 2nd most important returning player (and a legacy, at that), transferring. B. If Eichorst hasn't already called Miles, he should have ole Timmy in his office first thing in the morning, walking papers in hand. There's still time to find a good coach on the open market.
  9. would actually love to see him at UNL. He brings a lot of what we could use to the table. What role would he fill? Playing in the post is a big reason why he left UNO, and I have no idea if he can fill a perimeter positions, either at the 3 or a stretch 4.
  10. I'd bet good money Jeter will end up at UNLV. Obi will be harder to project; he started at Rice, but only played in 10 games last year, and none this year. Completely agree on Jeter. He was my ish on the west coast. I really wish he would've worked at Duke; I liked his game. Got derailed by injuries this year.
  11. Please, connect the dots as to how this is Eichorst's fault.
  12. Has he put on weight? Also, another poster briefly brought up Marquel Dismuke. Have we heard if he is making any noise yet? Low end 4 star that got our Calabasas movement going. I know he's not as gifted as Lamar by a long shot, but still came in pretty highly touted. Does he need another year or so to crack into the defensive line up? Seems like he'd be a decent special teams option if nothing else. Think he redshirted last year as well? If he's still 6'2, 220, he's not that far off from what most of our other OLBs are at.
  13. If Kalu to Safety sticks, what does this mean for Reed? Does he get a look at OLB?
  14. Jackson was always going to be a corner.
  15. Aaron Williams is on the field with Kalu. Kalu is replacing Kieron Williams/Reed. You know two safeties play at once right? *Woosh*
  16. I'd bet good money Jeter will end up at UNLV. Obi will be harder to project; he started at Rice, but only played in 10 games last year, and none this year.
  17. Williams should be fired yesterday.
  18. So, are Jayskers gonna put their Blue sweater vests away for Green and Highlighter Yellow ones in September?

      OH HSKR FAN

Would that be North Dakota State?

  19. I disagree greatly with that mentality. I don't think we should settle just because we have Gebbia/O'Brien on campus. Every year we should recruit guys that we believe are/have potential to be better than what we have. Iron sharpens iron. Now on that note I don't think Shough is settling. He is rated higher/similar to Gebbia and slighty behind O'Brien. I don't normally either, but Nebraska is behind in terms of QB recruiting this cycle. Lock Shough up and focus on getting a top guy for 2019. And while I like Shough, Gebbia was a much higher rated recruit.
  20. I wouldn't be all that disappointed if we don't get a higher rated QB in this class; we'll have 2 out of POB/Lee/Gebbia next year, with Bunch adding depth as he comes along. Lock the Shough kid up and let's go.
  21. You can't drink sand. Someone doesn't understand the concept of teams playing against relative competition. 2002 Nebraska never played 1994 Nebraska, just a heads up. '94 Nebraska by 21.
  22. Well, that's because you routinely have your head up your rectum, Mr. Clouse.
  23. Craig Smith to Drake?
