  1. Oregon had over 500 yards of total offense and scored 61 points none of which was scored by the Ducks defense. Oregon's defense gave up 742 yards of offense and 55 points to ASU. Someone needs to tell that bald dude that you don't try calling out the offensive coordinators play calling when you just put 61 points on the board and rolled said team for over 500 yards. No wonder there is a website dedicated to just how big of a moron the guy is... http://canzanosucks.blogspot.com/ Looks like there's a FB page not exactly celebrating him either... https://www.facebook.com/Oregon-Fans-Against-John-Canzano-323034963398/?fref=ts
  2. We should just get rid of the football program then. Heck just get rid of all sports.
  3. Considering they won 9 games last year with many of the same guys it really isn't even close to being delusional. Who do we have that is equivalent to Ameer? Who do we have that is equivalent to Randy Gregory? Who do we have that is equivalent to Kenny Bell? Who do we have that is equivalent to Zaire Anderson? Answers: Who do we have that is equivalent to Ameer? No one was going to come in and do better than Ameer. We do have a player who's capable of making guys miss however but he's been riding pine all damn season. Who do we have that is equivalent to Randy Gregory? Maliek Collins Who do we have that is equivalent to Kenny Bell? Ever hear of a guy nicknamed Westerstache? He's made a few plays here and there. He's on the youtube if you're curious. Who do we have that is equivalent to Zaire Anderson? Nate Gerry is still here. He was second on the team in tackles last year behind Anderson. Enough with the excuses Rilievers.... Agreed, we have no one better than Ameer and for that matter DPE last year. (those two won us two games (arguably three) last year by themselves) Maliek Collins was here last year, and doesn't even play the same position. My question still remains, who is equivalent to Randy Gregory. Westercamp was here last year as well, Who do we have to replace Kenny's deep threat and blocking skills? Nate Gerry doesn't play the same position as Zaire Anderson, and was obviously here last year as well. So what you are saying is we are still good, because we replaced 4 MAJOR contributors with players that were already on the team last year? Ok, if you want to play that game. Who takes those guy's place then? You can't take 22-4 and have it still equal 22 (no matter how hard you wish it to be true) Here is the point and I'll make it by simply asking you a question. Do you feel the loss of 2 players constitutes a rebuilding year???? It doesn't matter that we don't have the equivalent of a Randy Gregory at DE ready to fill his shoes this year because first off what team is going to re load like that? I listed Maliek Collins simply because you're implying that by losing Randy Gregory who else do we have left this year that is just as good? You're not going to have a guy step in a be 'as good' as Randy was at DE last year unless you catch lightening in a bottle. Were you really expecting that? There are enough players from last years team that won 9 games to warrant having a far, far better record than this years 3-6 record but it's painfully obvious from your posts that this is the fact that you simply cannot and do not want to come to terms with...... It is so convenient for the Riley and Eichorst haters to just throw aside the fact that the talent as it exists right now on this team is not very good. You keep saying that but I hate to be the one to break it to you brah but talent isn't the issue here. So you're just going to ignore the play calling? The personnel choices at running back and offensive line? The scheme? (Ex: Throwing almost 50 times with a hugely inexperienced QB against a Purdue team that has the #100th ranked rushing defense in the country...) No one can forget the simple clock management screw up that cost us the game at Illinois. Do you remember that? Heh. Of course you don't.... I'm sorry but all of those examples have zero to do with talent and everything to do with the coaches but you can keep blaming the players all you want since that's what's most convenient for the Riliever at this point which it's pretty obvious that's exactly what you are. The good thing is you'll probably only get to do that for another season or two because either Riley will retire or him and his staff along with Eichorst will just get the axe whichever comes first. Maybe you could try to save their jobs after next year though by sending the new AD an e mail to let them know that 'hey man...it's the talent..." I say go for it...
  4. Here's how I imagine that conversation going.

  6. Nebraska's attrition from last year was normal. Yes we lost Abdullah and Gregory notably but this was in no way a rebuilding project. Bo's teams were a house of cards. I explained why above. I never mentioned attrition. You do know what attrition means right??? Do you? Okay let's talk about attrition then. Abdullah was easily the offensive MVP over the last 2 years. Carried this team on his back when we needed him too and now that bell cow is gone. That only strengthens the case that it is a rebuilding scenario. 1. It's pretty clear you don't understand the true definition of attrition as it correlates to college football. Here's a hint: It's not like the NFL. There's attrition every single season in college football. Every single college football team experiences it. Players graduate or in small minority of cases some players are able to declare early for the NFL draft. Some just quit or leave the team or stop playing due to medical/personal reasons. Hopefully this makes some sort of sense to you as far as attrition and how it effects every single college football team every single year. 2. Per the bolded if you think losing one player automatically equates into calling the next season a 'rebuilding year' regardless of how good that player might have been then by your definition every single season is a rebuilding year. Here's another hint. It's not. I'll continue discussing this point with you when you stop cherry picking. All I'm saying is, Bo Pelini did not leave a fully equipped team behind and that the issues run deeper than the numbers show. But how many coaches leave behind a 'fully equipped team' in college football????????? Do you not follow the sport???? Again this is not the NFL. Let me make it clear for you. While Nebraska lost their best rb in a long time and a 1st round draft pick on defense there were still a lot of guys leftover from a team that won 9 games just last year. Now suddenly we are 3-6 and it's not because Bo didn't leave us with a fully equipped team. Do you not think any blame should be laid upon the current new staff of coaches???!!!! There's talent on this roster to warrant a better record than 3-6 and the coaching decisions which have at times resembled ones made on the high school level are right there in front of you for everyone to see. Holy excuses batman. So you're saying it's a rebuilding project? The reason we are 3-6 is a combination of what was left behind and the current staff's decisions. They are not mutually exclusive. Bo would have had to do some rebuilding if he was given another year. No. I am saying that I am really craving some Malnati's pizza right now.

  13. I will be following this thread. Very happy to see you back. the sock abides
  14. You really think people think Pearlman is going to fire Eichorst right now or even after this season? Of course not.
  15. Liked I guessed: Comes out of foxhole. Spews out safe and predictable statement. Goes back into foxhole. Please get rid of this clown asap. This is horrible.
  16. I thought their defensive backs looked really good for the most part. They played well given Nebraska's talent at wide receiver.
  17. Stupid. Even Bozo got an extension after 2013 instead of being fired. Because we should not fire/fire Riley based on Bo Pelini. See your text that I bolded for you. This is about contract extensions. Extending them out for four years is what is typically done because it sends the message of stability. I don't know what you're talking about "not fire/fire Riley based on Bo Pelini." But there are 20 other threads you can discuss that in if you choose. Have fun. Wat? Exactly.

  19. If this happened it would be the final nail in the coffin. It's a pretty frightening thought even around Halloween.
