Name the sports that generate revenue at NU .............football. Any less than 7 games and the rest of the teams that rely on the football program to stay afloat go away. I dont think we would ever pull out an all black uniform as an alternate. There would be backlash by fans. Look at the subtle change made this year. I mean, we made a thread about this years changes and its a flippin' numbers shift!

Why does Nebraska need 7 home games each year? Besides it being great for the us fans, I don't know if there is some kind of quota that must be met. Could anyone clarify?

Not to sound like a Debbie Downer, but I like 2:30 games more than night games bc I parttake in the tailgating aspect possibly a little too hard and by nighttime I'm a mess. So 2:30 isn't that bad for me. Anyone with me?

That would be perfect if Penn State were located somewhere between Illinois and Iowa Now its already said that geography will not be the primary factor for settling who will go to which divisions, but it will be taken into consideration. In my mind rivalries and history outweighs geography. but if that doesn't work, give us Penn State as a cross-over (although the implications of the game go down a little bit). But a rivalry is naturally another school in the relative area. Very rarely does a rivarly occur when two schools are hundreds of miles apart(USC-ND). I would say we have a better chance at developing a rivalry with Iowa and Wisconsin than Michigan or Penn St. Im fine with rivalries with any of those team, just as long as they aren't our main Rival. Heck Colorado had one national title and a recent Heisman and they weren't qualified to be our main Rival, so what makes Iowa or any of the rest? So who do you consider our Rival? Mizzou? KSU? Even though our rivalry with Colorado is not a 1 vs. 2 anymore, I loathe that team and take personal joy everytime we beat them. I still consider them our rival based on our mutual hatred.

This should prob. be in the conference expansion section of the board. They are already discussing the UM/OSU split. The difference between the Oklahoma situation you threw out is we don't play Oklahoma EVERY year like UM/OSU would. We play Oklahoma every two years. And how do you know they will not play in the championship game that often? Its not like UM will be down forever. I don't care who we play or when we play them as long as we win or make it competitive. Also, welcome to the board. We did play Oklahoma every year when we were members of the Big 8, before the Big XII was formed and then the rivalry died. I think his point is that, the separation will kill or much likely lessen the rivalry as it did to OU/Neb.

All im saying is Dailey never had a chance to become a good QB. With Billy C it was like tryin to stick a round peg into a square hole. Lee will start, Martinez will be utilize a lot, Green will signal plays in. I am not a Billy C fan but I wouldn't blame him for Dailey being a bust. Dailey finished his playing career at North Carolina as a wide receiver. I always felt sorry for Joe D. I saw a few games when he played at NC and he would look great moving the ball and then he would toss an INT or fumble. He was so inconsistant. I always felt worse for Harrison Beck. I remember that kid having a lot of potential, transferring home, and then transferring to an east coast school where he finished his career as a smug, jerk-like quarterback who got a lot of bad rep. I don't feel bad as much just disappointed in the type of player he turned out to be. I was on campus when Dailey was qb and I felt bad for him because out of most of the football players i've met, Dailey was an outstanding person without a drop of arrogance that sometimes you run into with athletes. So when Callahan came in with his west coast offense, Dailey was trying his best, but his skill set no longer matched up with the offense he was trying to run. I have less compassion for Beck. . .although I think its terrible that his mom kind of ruined his career here. HOWEVER, I'm glad TMart is still on the team and competing hard.

Sean Callahan tweeted that TMart is right there with Lee. Im really intrigued by this and excited to see what happens, even though I believe Lee will start the season as the starter.
