I like that schedule....If we go undefeated than we will have truly earned a National Title for that season...on top that our Non-conf schedule with Wash/Tenn/UCLA/Miami/Fresno State....we will truly be playing a champion style schedule

Yea that sums it up right there. It wasnt just the 1 second. Numerous plays were just head shaking. Even a good friend of mine who was a Texas fan said that Nebraska was getting the shaft in the 1st quarter of that game. Granted we did get 1 lucky call on the kickoff where the guy was ruled down at the 1. One of Suh's sacks that night you clearly see he's being held during it. All and all though its done and in the books right or wrong. The worst call i remeber was the 1998 KSU game though i remeber watching that and seeing that wondering how Crouch was even alive. The fact a flag wasnt thrown wasnt just wrong. Didnt the ref in that game get fired for that. It's not even about the rules at that point its about player safety.

If you buy them off K-statesports.com you must likely will be sent up into the upper deck 430/420 or in section 10/11. Honestly there should be plenty of people selling their tickets outside the gate thats how i got great tickets last time it was down in Manhattan. Not really a bad seat in the house.

My personal favorite quote from that game was actually from Colt McCoy "I knew there would be one second left, I wanted us to be exactly one second better after last year's game against Texas Tech" That quote came from Sportcenter a few days after the game. Thats awesome aint it? NOT Everyone remebers seeing Mack Brown begging for a second to be put back on the clock. Whether it been luck or something else had the Longhorns called time out with 4-7 seconds and kicked the field goa, this wouldnt have been as big of a deal as it is.

If they want to play I dont care if they dont oh well. All this serious injury about football stuff though never did faze me. I played I earned at least one concussion, but it doesnt compare to what I did outside of football. You can get injured getting out of the shower. If its meant to be it will happen whether you want it too or not

Definatly the OU game there was a different feel to that stadium that night. It was nuts. Texas though next year will surpase that no doubt. The bad blood between the teams, NU(60.01) Texas( Nebraska's a traitor) thought process. Its going to be a crazy night!

Winning the north shouldnt be the problem. For some strange reason with the Big 12 being extremely bitter towards us I can see us getting the raw end of the deal.

Luck favors the prepared. The Big 12 is dominated by Texas but they also know Nebraska is a member of the old guard and a mainstay of College Football. We are probably one of the more overachieving programs in the country. Look at Texas for example 4 national titles with all that talent....talentless state of Nebraska has produced 5 national titles. I'd rather be in the Big 12 cause outside of money its the best conference for us. Big 10 would be nice with the money but Nebraska is soundly 2nd best program in the big 12 overall. We will never have the talent texas has in all sports but we make our chances count why give something like that up?

Minor in Possession......It sounds alot more serious than it really is...Had the long arm of the law been around me while i was in High school or the years following that god only knows what I would still be paying the price for. Yes you are a Nebraska football player and are held to a higher standard but if people think this is a life or death event they are wrong. How many people can honestly say they didnt drink underage?

Stoops had a good point though. Its not really fair to OU that they have to play Texas and Nebraska every year. I agree though it may have been a rivalry but the 90s and the Big 12 put an end to that. Stoops said when Texas does OU will kinda makes chuckle though cause that would happen when pigs fly.

Playoffs.....your talking about PLAYOFFS i just hope we win a game. No seriously though everyone wants to see how these mid majors would do againist the big boys how about they play each other during the season. Texas vs Texas Christian, Flordia vs Boise State, Alabama againist Penn State that one is happening! Nebraska againist Michigan or Ohio State. Stuff like that used to be be a staple of college football of high mark match ups. That is going away and that is why we are seeing more teams go undefeated. Flordia look at the schedule no one with a pulse outside the SEC. Texas same difference. Say they actually played schedules we might widdle down the number of teams vying for a national title and elminate the play off talk.

No the difference between a College O-line and NFL O-line is that those players on the NFL team are each elite whereas in college you may have 1 or 2 guys that are decent enough to make the 2nd string if your lucky 1st string. The whole McCoy thing is just a way to have an arguement if you look at the numbers its not even close. Its called that if everyone agrees no one pays attention if there is arguement people watch.

ESPN is a joke they've giving been giving alot of husker love but it will quickly go if we stumbe. Since ESPN bought the BCS and SEC i've lost all respect for them. Its going to be a conflict of interest here soon. If you think ESPN will be fair and balanced think again.

Sorry Mods I dont know where this goes. Saw on ESPN today that Reggie Bush has reached a settlement to pay the marketing agency back for the stuff that happened while he was at USC. Is this the smoking gun that brings down a power house team. I know the death penatly isnt going to happen since its got too much money and too big of a media market. I'm just curious as to what the punishment that will be handed down if it every does. Personally I think if the NCAA does act, they should have to remove everything that happened while he was a player. At least Nebraska doesnt have problems like this. It makes me more proud of the Husker program seeing how most of the time we keep the NU name out of the papers.

Big 10(11) would actually be no different than the Big 12 expect at least in the Big 10 we would get a fair shake at games and a championship. Recruiting isnt actually as big as a deal as you would think we've always been strong in recruiting Texas. That wont change just because we no longer play there every year. It might take a small step back but when you win the best come will always come to play for you. It would be a natural rivalary with Iowa. Oklahoma would be an option in the non conference but who knows on that one. It probably wont happen, but its fun to entertain the thought for awhile.

The Big 12 doesnt give a crap about its refs unless the school start with T and ends with exas. I'm sorry but the Nebraska-Texas game isnt the first time Texas has gotten a huge hand from the refs. 2004 Texas vs Kansas the phantom Offensive pass interefence that turned over what would have been a big 1st down for Kansas. Believe Mark Mangino even went nuclear about it publicly saying it was the Big 12's way to keep Texas in the hunt. But moving on the rule will be revoked once it causes a play to be reversed that ultimatly would have decided the game. Yes they did change the kicking wedge rule too so that its not allowed. But the NCAA has become a joke lately sorry, USC vs NCAA we already seen that they wont punish them too much cash invovled and they dont want to ruin the golden ticket. Heres the link for Mangino

So the NCAA just passed a rule that wont allow taunting. If your player taunts you in 2011 it will be a 15 yard from the spot of the foul which would cost you a TD. Also no longer are they going to allow eye blocks with messages on them ie... Reggie Bushs 619. Personally I dont like either of them out of sheer emotion you high step to the endzone that would cost you a TD how big can that change a game. Say a player catches a miracle pass or breaks a long run for a TD againist your rival late in the 4th. That could cost you a game.

Solid 9 as of right now. I do believe we are Big 12 Championship quality this year on defense and for some reason i see an explosion on offense this year. I dont know why but no way do we repeat last years offense. I'll be a 10 come Sept
