  1. I knew this would be an interesting topic on Huskerboard. And this quote is completely true imo. A square peg in a round hole. It happens. And sometimes it's just that simple... As a Y-Town guy, I am glad he's back home and I think Bo is a great fit at YSU. He'll get hired away at some point, but it'll be fun until then...
  2. Thankya! Now go represent the Big Ten and whoop on Notre Dame! Good luck! That's the plan. Hopefully we can get it done. Want to see Purple Faced Kelly's head explode.
  3. First of all, we did not cheat, the head coach lied...there is a difference. Oh, he resigned before he got fired. I fail to see how this hire equals us to Texas? Really? First, you DID cheat. Your coach played players he knew would be inelligible, if he had reported the issues like he was supposed to. How is that not cheating? Playing players that would otherwise be inelligble is cheating. Second. You can call it whatever you want, resign or fired. Point of the fact is, if he didnt resign, he would have been fired. We all know the truth here, dont hide behind symantics. Third. How do you compare to Texas? You cheated, you got away with it, and because of your money and football power; you are able to hire a better coach because of all that money and power. That is Texas; above the law and doesnt have to follow rules that everyone else has to (and they know it, much like OSU). They can do whatever they want because they have money.... same as OSU is doing. I cant belive I use to root for OSU. I am disgusted and may have to root for Michigan; they may be elitist a$$hole$, but atleast they dont condone cheating and paying players like they do up at OSU. Whoa. You don't know a whole lot about M*ch*g*n then do you? Chis Webber could find the amount of cash involved in the Tat-5 stuff in his couch cushions. Now, I'm not here to defend any of this crap. No matter where it happens. I will say however, whenever I watch a college football game now, I have to wonder how the rest of the country is paying for all their tattoos. And as a fan, it sucks that that's what pops in my head...
  4. Ok guys, good luck today. Good opportunity to get TOSU, PSU and M*ch*g*n in your first year in the B1G. GBR!!!
  5. I think you guys will be fine on offense. Overpower them in the 2nd half. Defensively, just don't let DR get on a roll. Make the open field tackles, slow down the run and put DR in 3rd and long. When DR does run, don't let him get out of bounds. Put a hit on him. It adds up quickly with him and gets him rattled...
  6. Yeah, didn't make much sense saying 'get'. Still a little hungover. Hope Bo told your DBs to be ready today. Robinson is gonna put a lot of throws up for grabs. 3 ints would be nice...
  7. Good luck today in your first official game in the B1G! Here's to no injuries and hope you guys enjoy the BTN.
  8. Welcome to the B1G Huskers! Just an FYI for anyone who may not have heard. The BTN goes wall to wall Huskers at noon ET today.
  9. The UNL/TOSU game will be one of, if not the most anticipated game of the college football regular season next year. Some other "big name" games that day: Miami (Fl) @ Va Tech Iowa @ Penn State Georgia @ Tennessee Auburn @ Arkansas Oklahoma @ Texas Florida @ LSU All the times for these games are TBA except Fla/LSU (8:00pm est). I believe that both Wiscy and PSU "request" 8:00pm est starts when we travel to their stadiums, so I'm assuming the home team has some say in the start times.
  10. Hey guys. I wanted to stop by and say good luck tonight! Go Big Red!
  11. My take... TOSU - We will be tough again next year. Lose some defense, but offense should be better. We generally replace anyone we lose on defense very effectively. We have been very fortunate there. We are expecting another good run next year. The year after next is the unknown imo. Wiscy - They could lose every O-lineman in their 2 deep and still field a great O-line. They grow on trees...errr...dairy farms up there. Always a tough game, road or home. MSU - Their history is "Sparty being Sparty". Zero consistency. However, I think Dantonio may be changing that. Will be a tough game. I do not know their personnel situation however. Couple of good rbs, but we did not face them this year. Sorry, best I can do with them and only saw their Notre Dame game and parts of others. Iowa - Always a tough game, if you're PSU. They seem to not show up in a lot of games. They really make me scratch me head. Lots of talent, but lose when they shouldn't. Really never know until the game gets under way which Iowa got off the bus. M*ch*g*n - hahahahaha...Ok, Denard is pretty good and so is...Well, they do play 11 guys on defense. I've actually never counted. Maybe they only had 9 out there. Wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway. I believe they will have a new coach, but I could be wrong. It's pretty much full blown Civil War in that fan base from what I've seen on their boards. PSU - I think they're going to be better next year. Always field, at the very least, a competent defense, usually a good one. And they're offense will be a year older and better imo. Rumors of a split inside the coaching staff. Have no idea if it's true or not, but if it is, that's never good for a team. NW - Everyone around the country still calls these guys a "bottom feeder". I don't get it. They are as scrappy a team as there is. Should've beaten Auburn in their Bowl game last year, even after throwing 5 ints. On any given Saturday, they can beat anyone in the Big Ten+2. Ask Iowa. And I don't see that changing. Love their coach too. Minnie - Awesome new stadium from all accounts. But yeah, they don't have Maroney and Barber any more... Purdue - M*A*S*H unit every year. Have no idea how good or bad they would be if they could actually stay healthy. Indiana - Decent, sometimes good offense. Don't have the athletes to win many, but are capable of giving a lot of teams a scare. In conclusion, I think you guys are capable of winning every game on your schedule with a year's more maturity. Don't think you will, but there are no games here that you will be "outclassed" talent-wise by any means. I think Wiscy will be the toughest game, in Madison. Wiscy will almost certainly want you at night and to me it is the toughest place to play in the country. TOSU game should be second toughest. You get us at home, but we will be experienced with tough roads games, with lots of upperclassman and with an earlier OOC trip to Miami. Just my take. I don't break down film for a living so take it FWIW...
