I really hope they dont try to take the naming of the trophy too seriously like the heros trophy. these trophies are supposed to be cheeky and fun. I really like the idea of a chamionship belt.

serious question, have any of you actually heard anything that would lead you to believe VV is going to actually contribute this year? everything I have read about the kid suggests that he is soft and he doesnt like to work very hard. not trying to start a big arguement. just curious.

So far here is what we know for sure. Something may or may not have happened regarding husker players at a party. There may or may not be some players dismissed from the team. Thats it so far.

I know this is a pipe dream because it sounds like the big ten has no interest in OU but my dream scenario would be to add texas and OU to make 16.

Soooooooo, this thread has pretty much died. Does that mean that expansion is pretty much on hold for the time being?

Maybe the big ten reached out to a school and they said they werent interested. That wouldnt technically be an "offer". Just putting out feelers. Other boards have rumored that this school could have been Vandy. Im not saying that it was but they definitley would fit the big ten.

That West Virginia dude mentioned that WVU was part of the Big Ten expansion plans Did he really say that? He's had so many ridiculous tweets that its hard to keep up. i guess he finally deactivated his twitter account.

Just heard that Dodds decided to take supreme control. So he cancelled the meeting and is going to make all decisions going forward. From a reliable source at west virginia.

You will have to choose Matthew, FSU or KU because Delany wants to leave that extra spot for Our Mother. A longshot but they still are considered a real option. Until the right people say no way(and the Big Ten has been listening to their pitch) then I will not count them out. MR Red--here's the thing. FSU needs a better paycheck and television exposure than what the ACC can provide in their new deal. Unless the ACC can preform a magic trick to get Mickey Mouse to pony up more cash, their only options (other than staying in the ACC and accepting their fate) are the Big XII and the B1G. And I think we all know which one of those two choices happens to provide the better paycheck, better television exposure, and long-term stability. And yes, FSU really must make a move--considering their fiscal peers aren't just Florida and 'Bama, but now the entirety of the SEC, they're looking to not just be outspent, but lapped by the likes of Vandy and Ole Miss in the years to come. Unless they can fight fire with fire, FSU will have problems in the long run. Yeah, I understand all that. I was just under the impression that the Big Ten heads werent too interested. Mostly because of the AAU situation. Which I understand to an extent but imo that shouldnt be a deal breaker.

was reading the thread on shaggybevo and they had some interesting things to say about the new acc buy out clause. apparently according to acc bylaws the new $50mil buyout cant go into effect until July 1. just regurgitating what I read.
