  1. Man, you post a lot of dumb threads. If you honestly think Randy didn't look good last night, I don't think you understand how football works.
  2. I think we can all finally agree that Josh Banderas does not deserve to be a starter. He wouldn't have beat out Michael Rose for the job and his play has not shown that he deserves to start over Trevor Roach. I'd really like to see Roach starting from now on. Unless Banderas can show that he can get his head in the game, he has no right to be out on the field.
  3. The bricks on Camp Lejeune. Crappy state, crappy base, crappy barracks. Barely any A/C, no heat, and the room was small as hell. Had to share it with two other guys, too.
  4. Tommy has certainly had his struggles, thus far, but he there is no question about his starting spot. Tommy is the best quarterback on the roster, hands down. I don't know what the hell some of y'all are seeing out of Ryker Fyfe that makes you think he's more capable than Tommy.
  5. Why the hell should Ryker get more minutes? Two quarterback systems are stupid. We saw that last year. Ryker will get garbage time minutes, just like he did last night.
  6. I'm fine with pictures or text, but I don't think videos and gifs should be allowed. Could you guys maybe just make an option for us to turn off the signatures all together?
  7. Those all whites are so sexy. Glad they brought them out.

  8. I sure Buffet donates money to the University, but most of it is to the College of Business. I am sure you are kidding, but I think it's funny when people complain that Buffet doesn't donate enough to the Athletic Department. It's his choice to do whatever he wants to with his $, and he contributes to a lot of charity organizations (mostly the Bill Gates foundation). Aside from philanthropist guy (Gates Foundation), he's still a penny pincher. So what? I admire him more because he doesn't flaunt around his money. When he dies, he is giving most to charity. Making his kids earn their own money...I like it ...by serving as paid directors of the charities that he is sheltering....errrrr donating his money in. I really hope you aren't so jaded that you think guys like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates are using charities for ulterior motives. They're trying to help change the world for the better. That's it.
  9. Ravens terminate Ray Rice's contract.

  10. Something I've been thinking about is the quality of team that McNeese State is. They are an FCS powerhouse. Hell, even after losing to us, they're still ranked 6th in the FCS. This is a team that's used to winning games, just like South Dakota State was in 2010 when we played them. McNeese State could beat any bottom feeding FBS team any day of the week and give most top teams a run for their money. That's they did to LSU a few years ago. We played Idaho State in 2012, committed murder on a football field, and then proceeded to get murdered by Wisconsin in the B1G Championship Game. I don't think we should put too much stock into a game against an FCS team.
  11. They looked pretty good. Mitchell especially. I was less than impressed with him before last season. He's come a long ways since then. Davie has always been a guy I'd hope could step up. You run a 10.2 100m and you're going to bring something to that backfrield that not many athletes can. A lot of potential there. As far as being tested, Fresno will air it out - but neither of those QBs are very good so not sure it will be much of a test. They'll get plenty of chances to defend the pass though. My only worry is that Josh Mitchell is so small. That was the only problem that Prince and Fonzie had. When you put a big receiver on a small corner, the big receiver is gonna win every jump ball.
  12. What even happened there? Was that Mitchell's fault? I never saw a good replay. From what I can tell, Josh knew he got beat by the receiver, so he decided to take him down and get the penalty instead of a long completion. Smart move.
  13. Exactly. Offensively, the two openers are pretty similar, but it's a night and day difference on defense. We hope. This secondary hasn't been tested. That's true. I hope they get a good test before the conference season starts. I think the safeties will be fine, but it will be interesting to see how Josh Mitchell and Daniel Davie perform against better receivers.
  14. There are definitely parallels, but we also gave up 20 points to a team that finished 0-12. This felt a lot more like the 2010 season opener, to me. Ya... I felt way better about last Saturday than I did about the Southern Miss game. That came was 14-14 at one point. Exactly. Offensively, the two openers are pretty similar, but it's a night and day difference on defense.
  15. There are definitely parallels, but we also gave up 20 points to a team that finished 0-12. This felt a lot more like the 2010 season opener, to me. there was a borderline meltdown after the 2010 season opener as well becuase WKU was actually able to run the ball some. And people thought kansas St was gonna shove down our throats for 4 quarters and so on and so on. Yeah, we all know how the 2010 defense struggled against the run. Bobby Rainey made it to the NFL, though. I think we've forgotten just how good the 2010 team was when Taylor Martinez was healthy. There were very few teams that could have beaten that team with a healthy Taylor (Texas was one of those teams, unfortunately).
  16. Bad news for whoever the hell. The fury will be unleashed. it's almost sympathetic. Almost, but not quite. It will be nice to see Randy cracking skulls again.

  18. If you actually read my comment, you'll see that I said that they were decent until everyone got injured. Every starter and backup (plus some third stringers) on the O-line were injured, Roy Helu Jr. was injured, Rex Burkhead was injured, and Zac Lee was injured. The only people who weren't hurt most of the season were the receivers, and they couldn't catch a ball to save their lives.
  19. The '09 offense was pretty decent until literally everyone on the two deep was playing with an injury.
  20. Randy looks none too pleased to be out of practice.
  21. Tai played pretty well in the small amount of time he was on the court. Defended well and looked alright on offense. Can't expect much better than that when you're a college sophomore playing against Kyrie Irving and Derrick Rose. This tournament should definitely help his growth as a player.
  22. Tai Webster and New Zealand are playing against Team USA tomorrow morning.

  23. You're not wrong, but... You know the rest.
  24. That's Isaiah Thomas, who plays for the Suns right now, not Isiah Thomas, who is the Pistons HOF. The Isiah Thomas the HOF'er did play for Pingatore at St. Joe's in the late 70's. Ah, okay. The tweet is wrong, then. I'm glad it's wrong, though.
