  1. What you didn't know is the "Elysium" miracle healer machine was a Husker prototype they used for the movie. They have a fully function healer in the locker room. The Husker Miracle Healer diagnosis reports indicate that "he's fine".
  2. 0% chance of playing. No need to risk it on an OC game.
  3. The funny thing here is that we are acting like it is us that need to let it go. Why can't the Big12 office let it go? These shots are being fired by them. Not us! They didn't have to print tickets that will slight Husker fans. But this is exactly what they did. They are giving the middle finger to YOU. The players could care less. This latest attack on our institution was directed toward you as a fan base. Think about it. It is the fans that care to have tickets as memorabilia for the LAST Big 12 CCG that features an opponent we as fans have deep respect for. It is you as fans that would use these tickets to stick in your hat with your ticket collection. Fans frame tickets. Fans will want to set these tickets in their little personal Husker museum in the corner of their basement. This was a very calculated bush league gesture by the Big 12. Now you have tickets as memorabilia that has no past representation that Nebraska even attended this game or was even a part of the Big 12. Yep. Frame that one.
  4. It's not such a big deal in itself, but heap it on top of the pile with all of other passive agressive BS that this conference has been pulling this year. That pile is impossible to ignore. The rest of the pile is worth talking about, imo this is just reaching. It's reaching when the only player to get suspended in the history of the Big 12 happens to be a Nebraska player. It's reaching when you have on film two Nebraska players being flagrantly fouled but penalties on both occasions were assessed against Nebraska. It's reaching when you assemble a crew that threw 16:2 penalty ratio against Nebraska during A&M game. It's reaching when all conference schools average well below their per game penalties only when they played Nebraska. It's reaching when your only losses came with the same officials crew and almost had a 3rd. The chances of this is somewhere up with the lottery. It's reaching when the commissioner didn't show to present a championship trophy even though he had an assistant that was a graduate of Nebraska that could have presented it to at least show good taste. It's reaching to deny any wrong doing on A&M player even though we have public apology from the perpetrator himself. It's reaching to have a photo of all teams that have represented the Big 12 championship game, except for one. That happens to be Nebraska. To think this is an printing error has chances somewhere up there with the lottery too. Yep, we're all reaching here to think Big 12 office has it in for Nebraska.
  5. Yes, I can verify. There is no representation of Nebraska anywhere on the ticket. Yes yet another slight by the Big 12 office.
  6. That is a moment in time. Play the whole sequence and you'll see my point. Also, how can you possibly say where his eyes are? The neck is bowed with the numbers on the back of the helmet tucked into the neck of the shoulder pads meaning his head is UP.
  7. The refs called a personal foul helmet to helmet against Meredith on the Gabbert sack. This was completely blown as well. If you go back and look at the video, you will see: 1. His head is up. 2. His shoulder pads make contact first, since his head is above his shoulders, his helmet slides to the side of Gabbert's helmet. Circumstances dictate helmet contact. 3. Even with helmet contact, it was the side of his facemask that contacted Gabbert's helmet. 4. Rule 1: Helmet to Helmet penalties involves the use of the "Crown" of the helmet which is the TOP of the helmet. 5. Rule 2: Penalties for helmet hits has to involve "Targeting with the crown" and with defenseless players. 6. Meredith fits non of these scenerios. He did not contact with the crown of his helmet. He was not after a defenseless player since Gabbert was actively scrambling and escaping the sack fully aware of the defenders and players around him which makes him a ball carrier. And Last, I do believe that this call allowed Missouri a new set of downs which they went down and scored.
  8. beat UCLA who beat Texas who beat Nebraska. So... K-State beat two of the teams that beat Texas. That's interesting. So K-State is better than everyone.
  9. Hmmm...that's funny because both are listed at 6-1, 205 lbs.
  10. Its not about Mizzou, it's all about Nebraska and how we execute. I will say this, Pelinis better come up with a better scheme real quick for our d-line otherwise chalk this one up in the loss column. This game is all about pressure on Gabbert. No pressure, no win. Period.
  11. They called this penalty for one reason only. To make it look on paper that this was a fair and balanced game with calls for each side. So when the investigations come, they can say they called penalties on Texas too. Nevermind that all the calls against Texas was in the waning minutes of the ball game when the game was clearly out of reach.
  12. LINK Niles, of course you're playing for the fans. The fans are what makes Nebraska. Without the fans UNL is UNK, or UNO. You're from Nebraska, you should know this. I disagree with this sentiment from Paul as much as I disagree with the idiots who heckled him after the game, or who crapped on his Facebook page. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Yes, and like UNK and UNO players, Niles would still play football whether you showed up or not. The enjoyment of playing football came well before that fact of your approval or disapproval as a fan.
  13. Yes this does happen. It is like taking a time out except you get the benefit of keeping your time outs. And by the way, I believe all the floppers returned. I believe #11, #1, #18 all had to be helped off the field under assisted power. Yet they all returned running full speed. As if nothing happened.
  14. Somehow the thought "snowball's chance in hell" comes to mind. Hmmm... Really though, this has all the makings of seeing Boise St. and TCU in the MNC. Oregon will lose a game and when that happens. My money goes to Boise St./TCU in the national title. Talk about a perfect storm brewing for these two teams. Who would have thunk.
  15. Bravo. Well said. You either love this team and take the bad with the good or you don't. But you can't say you bleed everything Huskers and love everything Husker football then turn around and spew hatred about the team.
  16. Wow. Piece of sh#t huh? You know, we label rapists, murders, child abductors in this category. This guy is a football player that has trouble catching the football in pressure situations. If you get that bent out of shape over it that you take away his humanity, then maybe you should not watch football anymore. I can understand if you think he (choose)...SUCK, STINK, LAZY, LOUD MOUTH, OVER HYPED. Whatever pertains to his performance on the field. Niles has issues catching the ball. But you seem to have deeper issues to call someone a POS. Yeah he may suck at catching but he sure seems like a more well rounded and balanced person than you do.
  17. Why dime? Fisher = injured Compton = injured It's as simple as that.
  18. Zac Lee only did what he was asked to do. Texas had a good game plan and executed it no matter who was at QB. But to use this post to prop up your favorite QB to make another look bad is poor to say the least. No one pissed down their leg. Our WR dropped passes from Martinez just as adequately as they did with Lee. Both got crushed in the Zone Read. The only difference was Zac got crushed with one less defender in the box. So don't try to make Zac a hero and Martinez a villain when both were placed in a no win situation.
  19. Yes we should be worried. Especially since the game is played in Memorial stadium.
  20. This would look good without the block lettering. Pin striping around the regular N would look good.
  21. Okay, I am beyond that ISU game. With that said however I got one question...The fumble Niles had while running down the sideline, how come the second fumble wasn't ruled down or a touchdown for that matter? It looks like he regained control then fell on his back which jarred the ball out again. He should have been ruled down since the ground cannot cause a fumble in college.
  22. Looks like he started to slow down to set up a cut back on the corner coming across on pursuit when the safety dove for his legs. Or I guess you can say he simply got tired of running 100 yard dash wind sprints on the KSU defense.
  23. This thread had to be dug up off of a 20Gb hard drive.
  24. Texas' defense is built much like ours. Speed to cover sideline to sideline to stop spread attacks. They are a little vulnerable up the gut as well. Will we see 60 70 80 yard TD runs? Maybe. But the chances are slim considering their talent and discipline. When Texas makes mistakes and miscues, they have the speed and talent to cover it up. Much like LaVonte David at LB. However if we stay patient and take what they give us, we will score. We will just do it 5-10 yards at a time. We need to purge out the long sideways sweep options though. Anything that would cause a tackle for a 5 yard loss needs to be removed from the playbook for this game. Texas will be all over that. We need to stick with the zone reads that are hitting off tackle or up the gut. Do this enough to bring those safeties up then we can start chucking it over the middle. But more importantly, we need to make them punt at least 3 times or 2 more times than we do. We do this, we win.
  25. As much as I dislike Texas, quite honestly this game is meaningless on the scale of importance to get us to the Big 12 Championship game. For me I want to really really really win the Missouri game. The Missouri game is 100x bigger than the Texas game.
