  1. Peat and Turene sign up to NU and I'll be drinkin before noon.
  2. Hell kacti, Clemson has 12 rated class according to ESPN.
  3. NU currently 14. List of recruits looks impressive when compared to Big10. Of course Bubba makes it look better.
  4. now I exhale. good work by the staff keeping this one.
  5. That was what I thought. Someone should tell Scout. Thanks aspeddlin.
  6. I was just wondering about this guy. Quiet, not much news on him.
  7. IMO the high school games are a sketchy deal. They gives Texas a signficant recruiting advantage(OK a bigger recruiting advantage). This is dangerous territory and there is much potential for abuse. I think the NCAA needs to nip it in the bud. Exactly. I cannot see how BevoTV airing high shcool games would not be considered direct contact between the university and the recruit. Stay tuned.
  8. Jalen canceled his visit to UCLA this weekend.
  9. more specifically Arizona Western College
  10. Fallout from BevoTV http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/26/am-raising-eyebrows-at-espnut-televising-high-school-games/ Seems A&M and Bill Byrne might be a little pissed.
  11. Just to note I believe Callahan signed about 27 in 2007.
  12. Is it just me or does it seem pretty unusual for a kid to open up his recruitment a week until signing day? The only time I can recall anything like this was due to a sudden coaching change or a threat of probation.
  13. This same point could be made regarding the rumors of Kansas to the Big East. KU gets about 9 million currently from the Big12 versus 3.5 per Big East member.
  14. I agree on this one. We need a DB, and if Heard doesn't make it we need another RB. Hopefully a redshirt year would figure that out. He has size and speed. It looks like he wants to play RB and has cooled on NU. Hope we can get back in it.
  15. Interesting stuff. A subject I didn't know that much about. Guess they do things different in the SEC. Thanks for the link.
  16. Canceled his visit after Abdullah signed. OWH speculates NU is backing off Creer. I am kind of disappointed. Seems he could fill in at either RB or DB.
  17. overreaction is what a message board is for
  18. Perhaps the Big12 is creating a new conference model. Not one that will benefit KU, but one that could attract ND. Notre Dame already has their own TV contract. Why would they join the Big12? ND's NBC deal brings them 16million a year and runs out in 2015. I don't know what BevoTV means to the college landscape, but ND is one of a few schools with enough draw to match what TX has been able to get through BevoTV. No one knows what college football will look like after the conferences get new TV deals in 2016. As long as the Big12 has an automatic BCS spot I don't see it going away. Just speculation.
  19. NU's move to the Big10 really hurts baseball. I think the position of hitting coach at Texas A&M is a better job than head coach at NU.
  20. Perhaps the Big12 is creating a new conference model. Not one that will benefit KU, but one that could attract ND.
  21. Dont get me wrong. I am not saying that nebraska was a bad choice, or didnt deserve to be offered. Thats not the case at all. Just saying its not like we are worlds apart. Nebraska was the right choice if you are taking 1 school. Thats an honest statement from me. We have hashed and re-hashed this topic to death already about who, why, & when. Personally I dont think there are things to go over when it comes to NE vs. MU/ku/KSU/ISU/RUT/PITT/SYC and so on. I think the discussion is between those remaining schools because NE is already in. I don't mean to re-hash this topic fro, but it becomes quite simple when you put $$ behind it. The Big10 is estimated to bring in 35-45 million per team when they get the new TV deal in 2016 along with Big10 Network money. Along with a Big10 championship game, the Big10 thought NU was worth that amount of money. In expanding to more than 12 teams MU or anyone else would have to be able to bring in more than the 35-45 mill. In addition to that they would have to wait without a raise until a new TV deal comes along like NU has to. I dont think anyone besides ND is worthy of this deal. If ND comes into the Big10 MU is as good as any of the other schools mentioned previsiously. I just don't think it will happen.
  22. Over Under on Texas A&M network. 5.5 days.
  23. tickets sold vs butts in the seat
