  1. Rex is Rex a football player and sometimes that's enough.
  2. I believe Eric Martin was suspended on a Wednesday.
  3. Im not sure he could apply, get accepted, and get enrolled if he tested in December. It would take a week to get his results and get his application in. Im just thinking about the problems the basketball team has had with Diaz.
  4. The more I think about how NU's class finishs up I see more of a need for a 2nd LB or DE. I just think NU's got good depth at DT with Thad a soph, Rome and Guy as frosh and Williams coming aboard. Im not saying NU should pass on a Heyward or Peat just wishing there were more scholarships like every other year.
  5. Watching aTm and OU I was impressed with the defensive performance of aTm. Their front seven looked completely different than earlier in the year. They looked at times disorganized offensively, but seemed capable of big plays. They really seem like a different team than when I saw them earlier in the year. Im not sure how good they are, but it'll be a big game.
  6. Im with you on Carnes. He played a high level of football against top flight competition in high school. I like his future.
  7. The man always does more with less. ISU's roster is top to bottom lacking talent, but his teams always come to play and never give up. I give Paul Rhodes a salute.
  8. I hate ISU, but I love Paul Rhodes. I knew ISU would come to play. Even though they were beat on talent from the top of the roster to the bottom. ISU made a consistent effort to run the ball and did a good job of tackling. That makes for a long day with a 3rd string QB.
  9. Great post, and I agree with everything your saying. Bo seems to be willing to give up 6 yards a play without giving up the big play. Bo loves the dime, and it seems to be working although I would like to see another LB in the game. I guess I think adjustments may be needed, but the run isnt killing us. Trust in Bo.
  10. According to Big 12 rules in 2010 all referee challenges involving NU must go through the Big 12 office in Dallas, TX. I have no source, but my own suspicions.
  11. Considering NU played a dime all game with a 210 lb LaVonte David as the only LB I think they did well. That is the scheme NU is going to stick with get used to it.
  12. I agree. Its an ugly win, but a win is a win.
  13. How can you say he's a bust? Watson's playcalling completely handcuffed him today. Zone read right, left, center, punt isn't an offense. He threw the ball well today for the most part. The jury is still out on him, but get a new OC in and it could be a different story. Now, the zone read play works w/Martinez due to his explosiveness. Green obviously lacks that burst, so it is upon the OC to call plays to his QB's strengths. A novel idea for a Calla-Clown disciple, who insists on ramming that square peg through that round hole, a'la Joe Daily. I love Cody Green, the way he approaches every game, the way he makes himself available to the media every time. He is a valuable asset to this team. He is also limits the offense. Wats called a conservative game today, and Green looked terrible on a couple pass plays but seemed to settle down later in the game. Im happy for Cody Green being able to contribute.
  14. Another Florida kid who wont be leaving the south?
  15. Rivals teaser on 10/29. He is planning 2 officials, but need a subscription to find out who the 2 are.
  16. The Braylon Heard backup plan?
  17. My link Just rumors from an Oregon blog. Reporting a NU UCLA lean. Kid is keeping quiet though.
  18. For some reason I didnt feel like we'd get this one. A great addition. Put NU at 10 on rivals rankings.
  19. i don't think our defense will change substantially based upon the league switch, so long as we keep getting/developing the type of players that make it work. I bet we will still see a lot of the peso in the Big X+II honestly. Other than the Buckeyes, Wisky and Michigan St. the rest of the teams primarily run some sort of variation of the spread offense. Hell Purdue's coach came out and said earlier this year that they are emulating Nebraska's offensive style since Marve got hurt. Illinois is in the same boat with Scheelhouse, who could become a stud, and we all know what Michigan will do with ShoeLaces. I agree that most of the big 10 runs the spread, and see OSU running a spread about 50% of the time. Wisc, MSU, and Iowa dont run spread offenses. Also the Big 10 runs the spread with more emphasis on running out of the spread. Any way its besides the point. The peso is basically running the nickel as a base D, and the only reason to do this is because Eric Hagg is too good to sit. I think the peso will go away when NU has a OLB who is better than their nickel back.
  20. Hes N. Hallejulla. Biggest get since Marlon Lucky.
  21. This site is getting slow. Im going to shock the world. What does this mean?
