If anyone, especially players and coaches, approaches this game with the attitude that they can let off the gas even a little, bad things will happen. This is not a game where you play down to your opponents; where you don't use your best players; where you take a few plays off; where you underestimate your opponent. OP makes assumptions about our running game and their run defense. He is also by implication making assumptions about many other things happening exactly as he would like them to happen. Bad mistake. Never let off the gas. Never.

There should be no polls until week six. Too much speculation before then. Doesn't really matter in my mind if they are ranked too high or too low today. You have to beat all lesser opponents and win big games. Huskers are doing what they have to do so far. Just win baby! The polls/BCS will take care of themselves. Let's talk again on November 1 when the BCS rankings come out after beating Indiana and Purdue (lesser opponents) and winning a big game. (Wisconsin). Games 8 and 9 will determine where this season is heading, assuming no confirmation of being overrated before then.

Why wouldn't Orgeron just call Riley and tell him he's interested? They did coach together at USC and Riley says they have a good relationship. I don't get why he would let the media know first. Seems odd or maybe they have talked.

Correction - 173 miles from Youngstown to Columbus. Unless the plane is making a stop in Youngstown on the way, that plane is likely not carrying the suspected passenger. Still doesn't rule out a person from Lincoln being in Youngstown today.

Because this type of play won't beat Michigan State...or even Wisconsin (thus making the MSU issue irrelevant.) I understand that, just that much of the criticism seems a little harsh, they are clearly better over all, than last year. Sure, there's plenty of room for improvement, but they're much better this year, especially on defense.

In this thread I learned that some fans believe we have bad coaches, dumb defensive backs, no kicker, pu&&y receivers, terrible linebackers, an awful quarterback, incompetent O-line, yet the team is up 21-7 at halftime. lol

Being 4-0 is an accomplishment, but more importantly this team seems to have a different and more positive mental approach to the game as compared to teams from the recent past. You can be a realist and optimistic at the same time. Obviously the ultimate/season goals of this have not been met, they have not even played conference game. I think I'll just sit back and enjoy the overall positive aspects of this team and the success as it comes. I'm in no hurry to get to November or December, just like the team should, I'll take this season one game at a time.

McNeese St is the best team the Huskers have played after three games and will likely be the best Husker opponent until October 4.

Huskers have four opponents in the current bottom 25, two are Conference foes. Guaranteed that McNeese St. is a better team than each of them.

Ugh. Anything other than Bo letting this go is a bad move on his part. All of Husker Nation doesn't like the fact that this guy did what he did. But the real issue here is not what he did, but what Pelini said. It might have been the only issue had the tape been released when it happened. The timing of the release brings the motive for doing so into question and subject to legitimate discussion.

This is flat out poor coaching. The reason they don't perform like they can is because they don't know what they are doing. The team and coaches are mental mess.
