  1. Signed and sealed at 7:45 along with Mr. Jackson per huskers.com
  2. The Miami announcement does surprise me, but you're right about it being really surprising that he told Rivals early. I guess he's not all about the drama, which is refreshing. Time to put the folks on the UCLA boards on suicide watch! Ehh...they still got Owa a recruiting coup 25x bigger than Grimble. Skippy will get another whipping boy for Owa today
  3. Ha ha, a minute quicker than ya. Just effing with ya. Good job at least seeing this too
  4. Ditto, of course Grimble was gonna announce at 4 and he is a confirmed Hurricane now. I called Peat in, just had that feelin along with aspeedlin and others. Talk about a good day potentially
  5. Not suprise. Figured this is where he would end up. The bigger shock is that he let the cat out of the bag to Rivals, talk about taking the air out of your announcement.
  6. I am sorry but the only thing that makes this have legs is the fact he worked one season at LSU with Bo. This guy has only coached CB's. This LB coach hire will be someone with experience at the position. I will eat a crap ton of crow if this is the route Bo goes. But who knows.... now back to the epic thread.
  7. This thread has made my day. So much so that I have nominated it for the "Gunner" Position on the HuskerBoard team. Someone definitely needs to go to the Contest Crib Forum and give this little fellow a 2nd.
  8. I would like to retract my nomination of dylan(sorry bro) since it has yet to be seconded. Instead I am throwing my full support behind the nomination of.... The Big Suprise??? Thread It fits all the required traits and it has brought a new joy to the board. Now I know someone will give this a second. I will find someone.
  9. You have read the whole thing to fully accept the awesomeness and to realize epicness of this whole thing. It is worth it.
  10. PaulCrewe can just post all the names in his 1st post and a Mod can sticky the thread. Hey hey hey Nexus, that sounds like a ton of work. I am only here because of the premise that there would be punch and pie. I have done my part with the list now if a mod could sticky all would be well
  11. We are now BEYOND epic because you have Rick-rolled us all
  12. NO!!!! I refuse to let this comedic thread of epic proportions die. The name calling and cat fighting of those trying to puff their chest out and provide their "inside info" and the others kicking them down a peg or two is just what I need on this frigid day. All you young bucks keep on truckin. There is no way this thread dies. I will personally bump it to the topof the page every 15 minutes if necessary. EPIC Oh yeah? Well you're ugly! NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I'll admit it I am not the most attractive guy, but people seem to like me because I am polite and rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later a doctor will tell me I have an IQ of 48 and am what some people call "mentally retarded" And by the way GMoose, where'd you get those clothes at the toilet store. +1 ya if ya name the movie
  13. NO!!!! I refuse to let this comedic thread of epic proportions die. 14. I just want to reiterate on how epic this thread has gotten in two short days. Bravo fellow board members. In fact I am shocked all other threads aren't locked and this is the only open thread. I am not sure I have seen a topic jack up peopl's reputation points like this one. Seriously every post it seems has a +1 on it. CLASSIC. Now someone must give this post a +1 just to fit in.
  15. Call him up Bondi. Need a third set of teammates on scholly for next year
  16. This one is a little suprising. Not saying he is a bad player or anything, actually a very fine athlete. I say it because last year as a junior he busted off a low 48 second 400m and like a 1:55 800m at state. The kid can run like a gazelle, not too shabby at all coming from a small Class C town with no track to practice on.
  17. Alright, I have made a mockery of this thread enough with jokes, so I will clue you in a LITTLE to what I know. Bo is announcing that he just saved a butt ton of money by switching his insurance to Geico. Ok, one more. I couldn't resist. There is news but I refrain from indulging because this thread is reaching epic-ness by itself Well played HuskerBoard
  18. I'm sorry but I laughed at loud over this one. Nothing like a little poop joke to break the tension. By the way, I find EZ to be way off base. There is no way in hell Bo would be caught at the Blueman group. And we know he wasn't because there were no reports of Bo kicking the crap out of him for looking at him funny and for not being the Redman group. Better put one of these here for the slow people
  19. That was what I thought. Someone should tell Scout. Thanks aspeddlin. Scout shows up to the test five days late and four brain cells short
  20. i'm not aware of anyone that doesn't think recruiting is important. there is certainly a valid argument to be had for which is MORE important, coaching or recruiting, and it's also open for debate how well the recruiting agencies do at determining which kids can help you win games; but anyone that doesn't think we need to recruit talented kids to win games isn't playing with a full deck of cards. i don't blame bo for not liking recruiting, but i think it's clear that he and his staff treat it as an important part of their jobs. whether or not there's been problems along the way(or perhaps just message board panics), and whether or not there are some coaches that work harder at it than others (which is no doubt the case on all staffs), we are getting positive results in recruiting. The best story was Pierce saying no on recrutiing Jameel Holloway, who went to Boomer, and Barry Switzer's philosophy with recruiting "outlaws". Read the story if you haven't. It gets the dancing banana/corncob cause it is that good.
  21. Dammit OBVIOUSLY everyone chiming in on this thread has discovered my top secret, inside source. So here it is for everyone else to know as well.
  22. You are correct, it's a VERY bad scenario. I believe NU is right around 320th in the nation in 3 pt percentage. I'll give you a minute to reread that number and think about what that means. Yeah, that bad. Without Diaz, I believe there are two ways Nebraska can still win: 1 Transition. Jeter, Richardson and Walker are going to have to run the court like madmen. FORTUNATELY (and IMO this really is huge) NU's big men suck at rebounding, so not having a big man in the game should not affect the ability to transition. Most of the transition points have come from a steal or a guard grabbing a board, so the transition game should not suffer much w/o Diaz or Almeida playing. 2 Drake and Bear (and probably McCray): it's time to show you're legit. If any of these guys can catch fire, they just may be able to hit 4 or 5 3's and be the difference in the game. The great thing about these two scenarios is if NU can get up early, these both get much easier. There's no doubt that even if KSU hasn't quit yet, if they get down early at least a few of their guys will start let up. Suddenly transition points are more likely because of a lack of hustle from KSU in transition D as well as sloppy turnovers. Similarly, if NU is up and one of our guys is hot, he'll continue to find shots because there's no way Frank will find 5 guys to put on the floor committed to going all out to shut anyone down. I can tell I'm nervous about this game because I'm getting long-winded and apparently trying to talk myself into believing this can be done. All the torture of the past tells me not to get excited, but something about this team just seems different. Still I just can't quite let myself fully believe they'll get it done. True, NU's transition game is not hurt at all without the big guys. However, I think a track meet may play more into KState's liking. Pullen, is a stud whether he wants to play in the NIT or not. This will be a great matchup vs. Jeter. But KState's other four guys that will see a lot of the minutes are guys that will get out and go every opportunity they get. Their bigs, Kelly and Samuels thrived in the open court and secondary breaks last year. And when it comes to putting up numbers scoring, no matter how much a team has quit, that is the "me" stat. Where guys can go "I got mine, the other guys didn't", and that is crap struggling teams pull. The other guards McGruder and Spradling also will push the ball and are good behind the arc in transition offenses. I think NU needs to make it a dog fight almost and make KSU play defense. This is where this team struggles. Like I said, the presence of a Diaz/Almeida would make this philosophy so much easier. WHo knows how Doc will attack this wounded animal that's trapped in the corner. I am skeptical, but hoping for the best. BTW Tejas is looking unreal tonight. Also Doc just tweeted 9pm that Diaz will be at the game
  23. It's obviously to tell the team that there winter weather advisory for until Wednesday and that LPS athletic events have been postponed to a future date. DUH
