The ole TO days. You mean 20+ years ago. Barry Sanders rushed 30+ times per game in 1988. Should that be the standard? It’s been shown over and over again that QBs that take big hits are going to get hurt. Does that make them fragile? I think it’s just common sense. The players are bigger, faster and stronger.

I'd also add that Sims was the vast majority of the offense in the Minnesota game. When it was time to make a play he was the guy. The mistakes are easy to remember, but I don't think they are even in the game without his legs.

Offense: -I hate calling out play calling, but there were several times Satterfield had me scratching my head. - Fidone needs reps. -Grant has improved over last year and I think he needs to be primary back. One thing that he did previously was “stop and wait” in the hole. He’s eliminated that from his game and he looks solid. -I’m not sold on Sims or HH yet. HH had a great game. I think his performance in his first significant time show’s potential. I think a mistake free (who knows if that’s possible) Sims is still a lot better. Defense: -Mostly the same guys playing at a different level. Frost/Chins being fully exposed. -Being able to get pressure with 4 guys is an absolute game changer. -Young talent is promising. General: - Weird to say how exciting it was to see back ups in at the end of the game.

I’ve wanted to find holes in the Coach Prime methodology. I don’t like it, but the fact is it’s working. I watched nearly all of their 3 games and I have new theory after yesterday. Theres no doubt coach prime has improved Colorado, but he is not the major reason they are successful. It’s the elite QB play of Shadeur. He’s on a different level than just about everyone I’ve seen this year. They are going to start losing games as the schedule gets tougher but that kid is special. I believe prime would be struggling without his son at QB.

I was thinking about this during the game. I don’t want to minimize anything that White has done, but wonder if Chins was just that bad….or the program was that bad. There are players that have been on the team that are balling now. There are guys that we never even saw on the field making plays.

You didn't really answer the question. I don't count "I don't know". However, you indicated that he was not being held accountable based upon one sentence from the OC about crowd noise. We have no idea what's going through Sims head. I certainly hope he's not satisfied with his performance. We also have no idea what has been said to him by the staff. Any leader is not going to get up in public and call out a subordinate. That doesn't in work in real life or a football program. I personally like the way Rhule has handled it. He has said multiple times something like "You can't do that and expect to win" or "We need to fix that". We'd all like to know the "how?", but it's not realistic. I get that after two games you're starting to compare to previous seasons/coaches, but there are differences. The last 3 QBs started 4 years (excluding Thompson). I'd argue that all 3 stayed the same or even got worse over their career. We are not there yet. At this point, I'd be surprised if Sims is the guy next year, but who knows. It's still way too early.
