IMO we need a pass rusher much worse than a NT. Robinson, Rogers, Riley, Nash are good enough. Nelson and Payne can slide down to DE in a 4-3.

Omar from UNI would be a solid pick up (Kolarevic might help). Our DB room is all over the place on who is starting outside of Newsome. All other 3 spots are open game. I still think the best realistic portal option is Ochaun Mathis...we need a pass rusher off the edge. But it sounds like he is leaning Texas.

Lets be honest about the RBs...Rahmir and Ervin are the only two that the staff trust. Unfortunately both of them have had injury issues and that is why we are seeing Yant and Stepp out and I think Jackson and Grant in.

Film and stats are pretty impressive even at the Juco level. Has some play making abilities and speed, can catch out of the backfield. Can also be a return man with Palmer. Class of 18' recruit so I would assume he would be 22 years old to start the year. Started at FSU then went Juco route.

Kids aren't going to come to Lincoln when we are winning 3 games AND they couldn't visit campus. Covid really hurt our HS recruiting class this past year. The portal will be a God send for us

Thompson led the B12 in TDs...all I need to see. We had a few guys close but 24 passing TD in a season is the most since Joe Ganz in 2008.

With that said....I think this kid is very good and I would take him for sure. More of a pro style RB we are looking for. No more short scat backs. Kid can catch out the backfield. Big potential here.

The kool aid will really flow if we land JD DiRenzo (has mutual interest). I would feel great about our OL, QB (if Thompson), picked up two solid WR transfers, was hoping a good veteran RB but we do have some young talent, Fidone and Voke at TE....not too shabby.

I assume someone is leaving...that seems like a crowded young RB room.

He won the 100m and 200m at state track in Louisiana...I would say he is auto the fastest player on our team if he commits.

Purdy offer doesn't make a ton of sense. He could turn out to be good but isn't proven like I thought we would go after or roll with who we have.

Smothers has something you can't teach....IT factor that to me will rally the team. Adrian talked great at pressers but to me didn't have that sauce kids rally around. I think Smothers has more football IQ, quicker feet, and gets the ball out quicker. He might not make the holy sh*t type plays Adrian did when the play broke down, but there is no doubt he will make more correct plays which will lead to less turnovers and more wins.
