  1. I think that was the most "Millenial" thing I've ever read/heard.
  2. Moiraine

    CFP

PSU should have been ranked much higher by the 2 major polls after beating OSU.
  3. Why not Thurs? Makes way more sense
  4. Virginia is now blue on 270towin, which means Clinton is leading for 258 electoral votes. She needs Wisconsin (grey on their map) and New Hampshire or Maine.
  5. Crazeh. Clinton now has to cling to Virginia and NH and PA to win. And not have any surprise losses (e.g. Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado) She can lose Nevada, Florida, Ohio and North Carolina as long as she keeps the above.
  6. Clinton has never been convicted of corruption. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You're right, meeting privately with the AG a week before your ruling is fine. Appointing special prosecutors to the case who are friends of the Clintons and who have emailed the campaign new "heads up" emails any time the FBI/DOJ has a new development, that's fine. Please read: https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/43150#efmACZACqADXAFl I think knapp's post went over your head. I'm pretty sure he believes Clinton is corrupt, and is pointing out that Trump probably is guilty of sexual assault.
  7. God willing we'll see him go off the rails ... if they end up being celebratory tweets I'll be hiding in my bomb shelter. Do you have good food there?
  8. I figured it out. Will post code later in case anyone (Bob Zoogs) is curious.
  9. Not sure why anyone would. I mean, I thought it was kind of cool Obama won Omaha, but it never entered my mind to think "those poor Republicans there must feel really stupid and like losers now. How do they even wake up and go to work anymore?"
  10. Atbone95 - I don't know that it's sh**ty but it's nonsensical and illogical. Maybe all 3. I can give you that. It suppose it can be sh**ty for you to think that way, even if it's completely nonsensical, illogical and weird. I'm guessing most of us here like Nebraska and Nebraskans in general regardless of whether we're Republican, Independent, or Democrat. I doubt many are bothered at all to vote for the person who doesn't win Nebraska's electoral votes. I don't know why anyone would care about "losing" in their state. That's just weird. It's also something that bothers me about politics. This isn't a sport where voting for the winner should make you feel good. You should vote your conscience and not be upset by the rest. Also, I think a lot less of us are Democrat than you realize. Most of the posters on here who aren't Republican are Independent. There are also some who are Republican who aren't voting for Trump. Personally, I'm seriosuly considering moving to a state that's more conservative than Nebraska. I don't know why that would have any effect on someone unless they're from a super liberal state and think it will be a culture shock to live in a conservative state, because they're ignorant. (I'm sure the same is true for some in conservative states thinking of moving to liberal states but it's equally weird to me). The truth is, Democrats, Republicans and Independents aren't that different from each other. I should know, I was raised Republican and at 53 my mom stopped voting for Republicans.
  11. Oh, wow, that's interesting. I'm not sure how memory issues work in python. Please keep us posted, as I'll be curious to see the solution! Also, does this help? http://stackoverflow.com/questions/36601956/how-can-i-iterate-through-multiple-dataframes-to-select-a-column-in-each-in-pyth They have for name in dfList: Or: pandas http://pandas.pydata.org/pandas-docs/stable/groupby.html (I can't tell if memory will play a factor there in your case. If you already have the data manually split out, is it not possible to have that in a list and loop over it?) I've actually been to that post and since Python is so new to me it doesn't make a lot of sense and I can't really translate it to what I want to do. Pandas is what I'm using.
  12. One of the problems I have with Texas A&M being #4 is they can't win their conference unless Alabama loses twice.
  13. Yes I know R. Not super well but better than Python. But the things I need to do need to be done in Python. The reason the last names need to be dataframes is due to memory. From what I've read the dataset I have will be too big to keep it all together while I'm doing these things to it, so I'm going to merge them back together in the end. Also, I know how to do the fancy things to the names individually. I need the loop to go through all of them instead of naming the 1,200 names. Anyhow... I will probably pester the people of stackoverflow again.
  14. Your first name isn't Teacher? WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHATTTTTT?
  15. I've got about 1,200 different categories, which I've put into 1,200 dataframes (not sure if that's a good way to go about this, but it's what I did). Example: LastName FirstName CD Teacher Zoogs Bob Damodred Moiraine Damodred Alastair Zoogs Larry Zoogs Bob where LastName is the category and I want to do "stuff" to the first names. By stuff I mean lots of different operations. There's a different dataframe for each last name. I want to do the same "stuff" to the first names for every LastName. I just can't figure out how to make a loop that will go through multiple dataframes. In basic English the loop would be: For each last name: Do these 30 fancy things to the first names Not sure why I just now thought of this but once I put them into dataframes I could delete the last name column. That might help uncomplicate things for me. I started learning Python a week ago. There are about 3 other columns in the data set.
  16. No Sir Mix a Lot references or Out of Context Quotes tomfoolery please. (Ok, that was really the only reason I mentioned anaconda).
  17. Why do people keep falling for the "Once _this_ happens Trump will be normal and calm and smart and not a jack ass" schtick ?
  18. Does anyone else find it stupid that congress decides who wins if it's a tie? Popular vote is the logical tie breaker. (Or rather the logical only determining factor)
  19. If Clinton loses NC and FL we're gonna have to wait for Colorado and Nevada to find out who won. Gonna be a long night.
  20. Accoridng to fivethirtyeight, Clinton is only up 0.4 in Florida.
  21. You can not talk down at everyone like that and then make dubious claims that Trump has redeeming values. This might be the most reasonable post he has ever had in the politics part of the board. It's weird. Part of it is reasonable but he still came off as craycray
  22. I've had cardinal Moony husker blocked for a long time but still get to read half his stuff since Patrick gets quoted so often I've had him on ignore for months but I still peak sometimes. Is "climax" a synonym for "peak"? I suppose. Also, you smell funny.
