  1. haha - it's ironic you post a response like this in a forum discussing UCLA - when 99% of the reason most on this board hate UCLA (and surprisingly there is a large number considering we rarely, if ever come accross them) is because of Neuheisel. The other 1% still are pissed they wasted their time participating in the Owa thread. The two are barely related, imho. We're talking about a team that she loved/loves for several years (I'm assuming) and called/calls herself a fan and she is not going to see HER team because the coach upsets her. UCLA is some random other team that the people on this forum were never fans of in the first place so it doesn't matter whether or not people hate UCLA or why they hate them if they do.
  2. It stands to reason that it will be at least part of the reason we get more physical. Raymond stated outright that they were going to be more technical because the Big 10 referees weren't as leniant about physical play as Big 12 referees. Therefore they obviously got less coaching on physicality and there's nowhere to go but up.
  3. Points taken That is easily the most idiotic reason I've ever heard of for not going to a game. (On her part, not yours). A team isn't about one individual person, even if it is the head coach.
  4. That's why I wouldn't be safe. If they don't know there's a Husker game they'll just assume I'm in the gang. (Alright, highly unlikely, but it was supposed to be humerous). There was an article posted here awhile back about a gang in L.A. that wears Husker shirts. "A Mexican street gang in California, The Norteños, is embracing Nebraska Cornhuskers’ gear. Unfortunately, it’s not because they they have fond memories of Tommy Frazier from their childhood." I might not end up doing it, but I google earthed the whole route and all of the streets were either 30mph speed limits (or less), or there were very few pedestrians on the sidewalks. But maybe I should wear football pads just in case.
  5. a) Is anyone here thinking about going? b) This one is more general but I only care for the UCLA game. When do we usually find out what time the games are? I have a friend who lives in Hollywood and it's a 14 mile bike ride from her place, so I'm hoping the game starts before 5pm. I found a route that is on streets that all have speed limits under 35. So if you guys hear about that gang that wears Husker gear pulling a woman off her bike and stabbing her to death in the face, you'll know it was me. (Or I suppose it would be their rival who would be doing the stabbing)
  6. I think the op meant favorite game this season.. Sat, Sep 08 UCLA at Pasadena, Calif.
  7. could hook it up to one of the bike racks too. They're in front of every building
  8. He does that a lot. Not really, you just don't like to listen to the truth. I'll just leave it at that because I don't want to get into another pissing contest with you. And it was a Saturday scrimmage held indoors. Another? I'm pretty sure you have me confused with someone else. Probably one of the 99% of the board who also disagrees with your "truth."
  9. Did you mention Khiry? I remember you talking about someone, but I didn't think it was Khiry...wasn't it Brion? Where are these quotes of Cody bad-mouthing NU or painting Bo as a liar? I did mention Cooper about a month or so ago and yes last fall I mentioned he was working on Brion to come down. If you want a Cody quote you'll have to talk to guys like Cooper, Turner, Green, Carns, and Bell. So he wants another QB to join his team so he can be 2nd string again. That's amusing.
  10. I think the problem is that people remember the Osborne era too well. I remember back up quarterbacks going into the game in the 2nd quarter. I remember 3rd and 4th string RBs (Benning, Childs, Sims) playing in the third quarter. We aren't blowing people out by that much anymore but the memory is there so people think we should see more backups playing.
  11. Did you mention Khiry? I remember you talking about someone, but I didn't think it was Khiry...wasn't it Brion? I don't think Cody would want Brion to come to Tulsa.
  12. Ya, that's what I thought. I really doubt they had a scrimmage Sunday, since on their post Saturday they said the next practice would be Monday.
  13. agreed. i dont get the praise everyone seems to give C Green, guy has said some bad things about NU and he has been trying to get multiple players to transfer. just doesnt make any sense. Mostly he's tried to paint Bo as a liar. Making promises he doesn't intend to keep. He probably told Cody Green he'd get to play if he isn't bad, and Green thinks he isn't bad, thus Bo is a liar.
  14. Did you mean to put this here?
  15. So they had a secret scrimmage on Easter that they hid from the media and your "friend" was privy to it?
  16. This is the only one I kind of like so far. The pants and the black facemasks look good.
  17. I wear polos pretty much every day. I'm pretty sure 3/5 of the males in America do.
  18. They didn't announce that until after the on sale date, iirc. So it doesn't explain all of it.
  19. Have you seen the way most men dress? Most of us don't care one whit what we look like, as long as it doesn't look stupid. I'm really tired of polo shirts.
  20. I want Martinez to play well. Not because I give a crap whether he plays well, but because I give a crap whether every other thread here is about his not playing well.
  21. Wisconsin. But I have to say the "pre-season" games will be much easier to get excited for this year.
