  1. Why, Oh, Why can we not have a good offense AND defense in the same season.....
  2. Not sure if this should go here, but here is the article. http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/139212
  3. Went to the game at Ohio State last year....cost $30 for 4 tickets...that's including the sham fees from ticket masker...could have just gone on game day and paid face value ($5) because there were a lot of empty seats.....
  4. That isn't a worst case scenario, that is a sign of the Apocalypse scenario.....
  5. I see you 3,000 and raise it $10,000. Hey maybe if we all got together we could give him a severance package he couldn't refuse.

  7. Is it just me or is the LSU/Alabama coverage over the top? Now we have coverage of the bus from the air on it's way to New Orleans. Reminds me of watching the OJ Bronco chase.....ESPN is too in love with the SEC, in my opinion.

  9. Delany will come around when he sees that we can't recruit.....I hope.
  10. Why hasn't Stoop s been announced anywhere? Because of this I think we're still in the running.
  11. Just like lower ranked teams or non top 25 teams make the basketball playoff--the teams that don't make it can still play in the traditional bowls. (Kinda like the NIT) Also I think this would work even if a Conf-USA or Sun Belt or Mid America gets in because that's one of the gripes, that the mid major conferences never will have a chance to play in the MNC. This way they have a "chance". (How big of one is debatable) Also this will stop teams from jumping to BCS conferences and making stupid choices (I mean San Diego State in the Big East, really?!?)
  12. My idea. 16 teams. All conference winners get an automatic bid (this will help keep teams from jumping ship to BCS conferences and creating stupid conference moves, San Diego State in the Big East? Really?)Add 4 next 4 highest ranking teams, but with a total of only 2 teams max from each conference, i.e. LSU and Alabama, but not Arkansas even though Ark. is highly ranked, both SEC spots are taken. Keeps strong conferences from being all pissy because lesser conferences are included. Keep the bowls for those who do not make it to the playoffs. Kinda like how the NIT tournament is still for those not in the March Madness tournament. Keep bowl affiliations so those who like the history of particular bowls are still happy, i.e. Wisconson is in the playoff so Michigan State gets the Rose bowl. This scenario still puts an emphasis on the regular season, because if you don't do well enough to get to your CCG or win out your conference, you don't have a shot at the national championship. Also, this will appease bowl lovers, mid major conferences that say they never get a chance, etc. You would get 2 brackets similar to this ( I may have some of the smaller conferences mixed up, I looked and these seemed like the conference winner, but I may be wrong) 1. LSU (SEC) vs. 16. La. Tech (WAC) 5. Oregon (Pac 12) vs. 12. West Virginia (Big East) 9. Virginia Tech (ACC) vs. 8. Wisconsin (Big 10) 13. Notre Dame (Ind) vs. 4. Stanford (Pac 12) 3. Oklahoma State (Big 12) vs. 14. Northern Illinois (Mid Am) 7. Kansas State (Big 12) vs. 10. Michigan (Big 10) 11. So. Miss. (USA) vs. 6. Boise St. (MWC) 15. Arkansas St. (Sunbelt) vs. Alabama (SEC)
  13. Anther reason why we need a playoff. Then if all 12 conference champs get an automatic bid everyone is on an even playing field an the stupid "moving to a BCS conference" can stop (as if the Big East deserves to be a BCS conference)
  14. Everyone keeps saying that with a play off someone will still be upset, well that's how it goes, but if every conference champ got an automatic bid then it puts an emphasis back where it should be--the regular season. Then add 4 more schools so those in super tough conferences still get included if they are ranked high enough, but still don't have an automatic bid. 16 teams, no more than 2 from each conference and there you have it.
  15. See I have no problem with mid majors getting in, then they can shut up about how unfair it is when a team like LSU puts up 50+ points on a team like Houston or Boise State.
  16. From a thread I started earlier.... My idea for a playoff There are 12 Division 1 conferences so each champion from each conference gets an automatic spot and then 4 "wildcards" with no more than 2 from each conference in the playoffs. You automatically go to the highest ranked teams, i.e LSU wins the SEC and Alabama gets the wildcard because it did not win it's conference, but is the highest non automatic bid, and Arkansas would not get in because Alabama and LSU have used up 2 spots. The other teams still go to the bowls that their conferences are affiliated with, Michigan State to Rose Bowl because Wisconsin won the B1G so they go to the play off, etc. You seed the teams in the playoff according to their rankings, LSU plays the Sun Belt Champs (whoever they are, lol), and so on. Then you will have a real winner and not have someone in the MNC who didn't even play in their conference champ game. (And I am aware of 2001, and even though I love my Huskers, it was wrong)
  17. Here is my idea, and I'm prepared for people to hate it so here goes... There are 12 Division 1 conferences so each champion from each conference gets an automatic spot and then 4 "wildcards" with no more than 2 from each conference in the playoffs.
  18. Even though Nebraska did it in 2001, I still feel that if you don't at least play for or win your conference you should not be in the NC game. Best argument for a play off yet.
  19. In my opinion, we have some good guys that could be promoted in a few years. Get someone in here like Stoops and like everyone else says he would be gone in 2-3 years. Gives guys like JP the time to grow into a DC position. But right now, if we want to be a dominate team we need a good DC not someone who will be learning on the job like Beck did this year (even though I do think Beck did alright, but someone like Leach would have done better) We need proven talent to take us to the next level.
  20. I have to think that if we want to be competitive we need to be able to pay the same that others in our conference do so open up the purse strings already. We want to win but we don't want to pay I don't understand this mentality. We need outside blood I don't want to promote from within.
  21. <div> Welcome to the 21st century. No matter who you are if you are good at your job you want to move up. Who wants to be in middle management for the rest of their life.
  22. Well then you don't want a good DC. Anyone worth their salt will eventually be in the hunt for a HC posistion
  23. Put the whole state of Oklahoma on suicide watch.
  24. Almost forgot 7...BCS computers are gonna crash!
