Ha ha! You know, Jammal Lord really was a heck of an athlete. On other Husker teams with more talent around him he would have been a star. I think you're absolutely correct. Although if he were on one of those teams, I would still cringe when he dropped back to pass.

He is not the recruiter Cally was, and he inherited a decent amount of talent (look at all the NFL picks over the last 4 years). No matter if you support Bo or not, lets atleast be honest about it. Not to mention that half of the players cally got never saw the field. Recruiting and developing are 2 different subjects. I think Bo and his staff can do both. Not to mention Bo wins 9 or 10 games every year while half the time Clownahan would win 5 or 6 games.... or that in his first four years he'll win 10 games twice (even with taking over a hopelessly shipwrecked program).and possibly three times while Clownahan won 10 games zero times. But of course recruiting stars are vastly more important than results on the field. pass whatever your smoking this way..... Exactly..

They may have claims and I may be biased, but I would argue all day that Burkhead is a better running back and I take him over any of them everyday of the week. Yeah that. Superman is far and away better than all of those mentioned by badgerfan.

AJ is a damn good receiver, but I think he will go the way of McNutt and Cunningham when paired up against Fonzie. My guess would be 3 receptions for 20 yards.

Are you implying that Southern Miss has better players (athletes) then we do?? Really?? How many Lavonte Davids, Fonzo Dennards, Burkheads, Cricks, etc. do they have?? You care to fill in more of those names? What if Southern Miss does recruit consistently more talented players than Nebraska? Or what if their coaches just develop lesser talented players better than we do? Anyone can come on here and name our best players and the say "etc." I hate to inform you that there are a lot of teams out there that don't just rely on 4 guys to carry their team. You gonna sit here and try to tell me that Burkhead didn't carry this offense this year? You gonna try to tell me that when we lost Crick our defensive line didn't fall apart? Every team has playmakers, but lots of other teams get consistent play from nearly every position on the field. Not great play, but consistent play. Simple answer: he would be infinitely better. He would be even better than that had Taylor not thrown that pick in the end-zone when up 17 on OU last year as well. But how much of the outcome of the CSG against TX was in Bo's hand? Colt McCoy holds a little longer onto the ball, throws it a little further and NU wins.
