  1. 61. At that point I think he's looking for four or five great years and retire to texas. That would be cool if we can groom a great OC for HC.
  2. He has a chance to turn me into a riley fan but the guy better have his sights set HIGH. Also at least it isnt Bielema!!
  3. Maybe he will pull a Nutt and not get on the plane! WTF dont these guys know we got money and facilities out the arse? 5 NC aint no accident!
  4. Oh dude!!! We had a chance to brjng back a nebraska guy, a national star who was our starting QB for a NC. We had a chance to get this thing rockin again. Eichhorst was supposed to bring home a ferrari not an edsel. Crap. Get used to getting your ass handed to you fellas.
  5. Nebraska is the better job. And thats the attitude your next coaching staff better damn well have.
  6. bret bielema would be a Callahan hire for eichhorst. Way to go buddy.
  7. Me to eichorst. " whatever dude its your deal. Later."
  8. my 2 cents... sports bookies have lot of money on the line, probly know more than us because money talks and they listed 5/4 Scott Frost. That's a lot better odds than anybody else. Football Scoop says huskers locked into one guy. Dudes...... Its Frost.
  9. Indeed it looks like betting is closed folks. I think we have a coach!
  10. Bovada 5/4 scott frost. That says it all. Better just start thinking about DC
  11. Tressel, oh you mean the dude who was at home watching Solich coach in a national championship?
  12. Ryan Carty for HC and Bates from jacksonville st. for DC.
  13. Bos legacy should include the fact that the 2009 defense was perhaps the best ever at UNL. It was better than 2009 Bama which is listed on the net as one of the best all time.
  14. Listen, most places you work you do a good job you dont get fired. Thats the deal. But the deal here at Nebraska is you win titles or are dman close to winning titles every year. Bo didnt get her done so he is out. You dont like it go be KSU fan.
  15. You know I think we should fire people more often. With constant turnover youre gonna find that diamond in the rough quicker.
  16. It muz be tru cuz I seen it on da internet!
  17. All you "can Osborne coach" guys are almost sad. You dont even realize how unrealistic that is. The man is retired. That ship has sailed. When a man like Osborne says he's done, he's done. Respect it and embrace the situation. At some point the new guys have to step up and be leaders. Let Osborne enjoy his retirement won't you?
  18. "This is what is wrong with husker fans today. We were spoiled in the 90's..." Actually we were spoiled in the 70's, 80's,AND the 90's.
  19. I have been on several coaching staffs in high school and middle school. The team dynamic determines success. Everyone has to be on the same page. Then a unified message is pounded into the players brain. That builds success. When all coaches are not on the same page with the head man or do not agree with him, either the players get mixed messages or the staff does not put everything they have into their jobs. In either case the product on the field suffers. Something along those lines is happening at NU. Secondly with the TO and Devaney huskers we NEVER got blown out and halftime adjustments ensured almost 100% of the time the other team would score VERY little if we were behind. I remember losing once to Miami something like 17-7. In those days that score was a blowout to husker fans. Now teams like Wisconsin put up 56. Folks thats coaching. Lastly, a successful program like the old Huskers stands strong on prunciples which guide actions. Things like honesty and truth. So TO would conduct brutally honest performance reviews with players and staff consistently. This led to a culture of constant improvement and excellence. Does BO consistently review those around him and offer valuable guidance? Where are the team metrics? They used to keep specific stats in team strength and agility. Is anyone still measuring thos things such that one could compare this years team to last years to look for improvement or digression? Does BO even care about science or numbers? TO sat in Devaneys office and personnally laid it on the line for Boyd Eppely. Thats how much he cared about weights and improvement. He selected his starting QB for a NC game with a percentage grading system. Callahan benched Joe Gantz for his buddy boy fron ASU with no justification other than favoritism. Some of these new coaches are hacks.
  20. Its not all about wins. As TO put it, it is about playing like champions. You do that, the wins take care of themselves. Bo needs let go because he is not well composed on the sideline, his behavior has to be a turn off to a recruit's parents and coaches. He HAS to be a bear to work for. Can you imagine? No wonder assistants are afraid to do what they want. TO did it better. Way better. We need another one like him.
  21. The team is exactly where it was when Solich was let go. A wasted decade.
