  1. Totally agree and i would add. Northwestern beats teams they "Shouldnt " beat all the time, then loses to duds. Very up and down team way too much inexperience in our secondary. blown coverages everywhere really bad run blocking Bo's fault?
  2. If Rex punched you in the face , you would feel the irresistible urge to thank him.
  3. I agree with this. I loved seeing the FB scoring touchdowns but i highly doubt thats gonna happen in game situations. I think Pro ball is more about out-playcalling, and outscheming your opponent where college ball is more about imposing your will on the other team. When we ran option, we ran option better than anyone .We didnt try to do a million things different things.I hope they get back to more of that type of thing.
  4. If a true "star" QB (and/or maybe RB) emerges from the pack, i think dominance could definitely happen. We have solid players but you need "that guy" on offense who you can count on in a big game to lead the team down the field and win. Thats the difference in a 10-12 win season and a National championship IMO. Mid 90s teams would have been very good without Frazier and Phillips but maybe not dominant. No Tebow = No Championship. No Vince Young = Same, and even last year Auburn never would have been there let alone win without Cam Newton. Their coach even admitted that.
  5. After hearing Klachko on Big red wrap up he has the attitude , work ethic, and physical tools to be one of NUs best linemen ever, barring injury.
  6. Yup ive heard maybe half of them, but its all good im always lookin for some new stuff to listen to. Time to go hit Bittorent for a while. LOL
  7. Well kinda bored, watching the Mike Tyson beatdown marathon on ESPN Classic (Holy Crap!) , and going through my huge music collection.I was noticing how many of my Albums/Cds only have a few songs i like.Other than greatest hits compilations, what would be some of your favorite albums. Stuff you can listen to all the way through, without skipping a song. Heres a few of mine. 1.Van Halen - Van Halen I, Women and Children First,1984 2.Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction 3.Def Leppard - Pyromania 4.Motley Crue - Dr Feelgood, Shout at the Devil 5.AC/DC - For those about to rock, Back in Black, Highway to hell, Flick of the Switch 6.Boston - Boston 7.Judas Priest - Screaming for Vengeance 8.Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy, II,IV 9.Scorpions - Love at first Sting 10.Nazareth - Hair of the dog 11.Beatles - Sgt Peppers, White Album 12.Meatloaf - Bat out of Hell 13.Rush - Fly by Night,2112,Moving pictures
  8. I would say a "Hook" is more of this In music and songwriting, a hook is any device that makes a song memorable, especially upon first listen. Hooks may be lyrical or musical. Usually non-guitar IMO. A few example would be Bitch from Rolling stones, (trumpets/brass playing the repetitive line),Bakers Street Gerry Rafferty (wicked Saxophone) Centerfold J. Geils (Synthesizer), Bobby Mcferrin dont worry be Happy (Vocals), plus many rap songs thrive on vocal/ instrumental "Hooks" A "Riff" to me is usually a guitar or bass combination of chords, that repeats and drives a song, such as most of the ones from my previous list.
  9. Agree on that one, i like some Buch Dich? By Rammstein too. Fun to drive around with the German version cranked up too. People look at you like WTF.

Could have come up with many more.
  11. I tend to like individual songs more than whole albums or artists. That being said U2 from 80-92 had probably 20 or more songs that i liked, and only 1(vertigo) that i have liked since. Pearl jam had one album with 5 songs that i like, then nothing. IMO Alice In chains, STP, and even the hated Nirvana all did the same. 3-5 solid songs then nothing i liked. Lots of groups lose me by changing pace way too many times within their songs too. (tool, avenged sevenfold, etc.) Doesnt need to be that fancy for me .Get a good riff/rythmn going go to chorus/guitar solo,go back to good riff then done.To me the song makes all the difference.
  12. Rosario Dawson was awesome in Sin City Jennifer Garner in Electra Angelina Jolie numerous movies Uma Thurman Kill Bill Any of those lovely ladys can kick my ass any day.
  13. Good stuff - except Thoroughgood. I've never been a fan. Not a big fan either, but he has some well written catchy riffs in a few of his songs. Gear jammer,Who do You love,I drink alone etc. A few more i thought of. Our time is Now - Story of the Year, (Beginning and end), Show me how to live - Audioslave , (First minute or so til Cornell starts shreikin), 2 minutes to Midnight - Iron Maiden, and Smokin - Boston. never heard that Cure song before.
  14. I would have kicked some of the disco , and oddball stuff (Bottom 5) off there but pretty solid list.I might add some of these instead. Man in the box- Alice in Chains, Livin after Midnight - Judas Priest, You could be mine, Rocket Queen, My Michelle, etc - Guns N Roses (Slash = Awesome). Lots better Rage Against the machine rifs than that IMO Renegades of Funk, Testify, Ghost of T.J etc. Not a huge Nirvana fan but Teen Spirit, In Bloom, and Come as you are, all had solid riffs to them. Bad to the Bone - George Thourogood, Cat scratch fever, and Stranglehold - Ted Nugent , My Sharona - The Knack etc. I definitely like a harder edge to the riff, and some of their list have been so overplayed i cant stand to hear them any more.
  15. He will have to work his tail off. The next three test dates are Feb, Apr, and June. He obviously won't make it in time for spring ball, but he can still be here in the fall. I think he will be here come time for fall ball. Damn kid reminds me of Rudy trying to get into Notre Dame! I think he will be here by fall also.
  16. That, and because a lot of the time if Bo actually said exactly what was on his mind he would probably get called on the carpet or fired. I suspect Bo views the media with suspicion--that they only want to sell newspapers and generate controversy. And he's probably right. Totally agree! The only reason i hate watching press conferences/football shows is because of the idiotic questions asked over and over again by the media.Seems like many of the questions are designed to see if they can get him to snap more than they are for any informational purpose. Hes trying to give the right answer and stay calm instead of saying what he really thinks, which would get him in trouble or fired.I would do the same thing .Sure its part of the job, but i just hope he gets through that kinda crap without getting in trouble, and gets back to coaching Football. I care much more about how hes doing at that myself.
  17. They have really nice looking cheerleaders though!
  18. Oregon has the ugliest Helmets ever? Yuck.
  19. Animated = Family Guy, Simpsons, King of the Hill, or Spongebob Cable = Sopranos, True Blood. (Downloaded all seasons of the Wire, watched like 4 episodes and couldnt get into it.) Oldies = Hill Street Blues, Cheers, Happy Days, Mash, Star Trek Goofy stuff = Man Vs Food, and The original Beverly Hills 90210 Guess i was supposed to pick one, so i would go with the Sopranos.
  20. Good idea on the email account. I do the same thing. Pretty easy to find out whatever you want to know about someone from public record too.
  21. Havent tried this yet but im going to. Sounds good! Apple Pie (Bulk) Drink Recipe Ingredients * 1 qt. Everclear [ or Golden Grain or 180 Proof Vodka - all work well - just use a middle shelf vodka] Amount is approx. “90% of a 5th†* 1 gal. Apple Juice * 1 gal. Cider, apple * 6 -8 sticks Cinnamon Sticks [or cinnamon powder, or Hot Damn Liqueur] * 1 cup white sugar, 2 cups brown sugar Mixing Instructions Mix apple juice, apple cider, sugar, and cinnamon sticks together while all are getting hot. Boil until cinnamon sticks lose flavor (they will unroll). Remove from heat, let cool. Add Everclear, and stir. Taste. Refrigerate. Add more Everclear if you want it stronger, more sugar if you want it sweeter, or even more cinnamon. Throw it in the fridge and drink when ever you want it.
