  1. Langsdorf wants to know if that’s a good stat or a bad stat.
  2. The first thing he says is that toughness, discipline, and details matter in college football. It’s been a while since NU had those traits.
  3. If Frost or whomever is the next coach is getting their doors blown off (even if they are top 5 teams) 3 times in one season, I will be critical of that coach. Yes, there may be the random game where a blowout happens, but not 3 times in one season, combined with a loss to a MAC team and another loss where the team trailed by 28 points at half (this is assuming best case scenario).
  4. I’m not mad about the guy, I just want him gone. The way some fans want to prop up his “accomplishments” is a bit much for me.
  5. Wisky made NU its bitch to end the game, and you shouldn’t use close wins over Purdue and Rutgers as a “positive” moment unless you have such a crappy coach like Riley
  6. Big Ten went to 9 game conference schedule last year. 6-3 with 3 most likely lopsided losses to any Big Ten team worth a darn isn’t that great.
  7. Yes, Frost may not take those jobs, but I am sure their AD’s have already been in contact with Frost’s agent, and other agents for coaches around college football. I just hope Moos has a plan in his head for the next 4 weeks, and that plan includes firing Riley by Thanksgiving Saturday.
  8. Even if Florida or Tennessee starts talks with Frost or another coach, that new coach won’t accept the job until the season is over. Like you have mentioned, Moos can do a lot of work in the next few week behind the scenes if he is leaning towards firing Riley.
  9. I understand that the games are about wins and losses, but if Moos was watching this game with a critical eye, he has to realize that NU didn't play well in this game, and it shouldn't bode well for Riley's future at Nebraska.
  10. I'm gonna steal this thought from Damon Benning, but he's pretty spot on. I don't think Riley and his staff are make good evaluations of talent and who plays on Saturdays. We have seen numerous players this year play in games, only due to injuries or other factors and those new guys do pretty well. Then after that success, they may play sparingly or not at all. I also have a lot of questions on what it takes for a guy to be benched for not performing well during a game.
  11. Damon Benning made comments about most of the stuff said in this article on his radio show this past week. Benning became fairly close to Frost in '95 and '96, and said that Frost had a difficult time adjusting to NU and how most of the defense treated him like crap in his redshirt season of '95.
  12. I understand that their stud WR is the son of a former Cyclone, but NU loves to recruit the small WR under Riley.
  13. How is Iowa State able to get big WR’s, but NU can’t sniff to any of them?
  14. Meyer’s teams are always wound super tight. When things go well early, they are able to relax and do fine. When teams put up a fight early, their buttholes pucker tight enough to turn a piece of coal into a diamond.
  15. NU hasn’t signed the kid, and he hasn’t even committed. He was just offered a scholarship earlier this week. He does seem like a great prospect at WR though.
  16. The high school and college offenses like to take away the decision making from the QB, and make it mostly based on pre-snap reads. They don't want to have to teach a QB how to read defenses and make the appropriate throw. They want that variable taken out of the QB's hands and head.
  17. It's like the coaches completely make things up for reasons to start or not start some guys.
  18. And LSU and Florida have struggled with QB play with those ex-Purdue QB's. The NFL will take a lot of guys to be backups because they are smart and can pick up the NFL system. I actually expect Tanner Lee to catch on as a back-up in the NFL because of his strong arm and exposure to a NFL system in college. It doesn't make these Big Ten QB's good college QB's though.
  19. Didn't realize there was a "runza" place in Greeley. I know there is a Krautburger place in Brighton, but we haven't made it there to check it out. My wife just made homemade runzas this past Sunday. They were damn good.
  20. I don't remember Snyder recommending Ron Prince. I thought he was a hire out of left field.
  21. We would watch that over and over with my kids when they were younger. We still use that quote and others from that show. "Never jump in a pile of wet leaves with a wet sucker" and "I demand restitution" are a couple more of our favorites.
  22. Looking at the above chart, my mom was one of those who called Sloppy Joe style sandwiches, YUM-YUMS.
