  1. Crick's good, but I don't think he's quite on Suh's level. I guarantee he'll be a finalist for a lot of trophies this year, but I don't think the Heisman will be one of them.
  2. That'd look almost as good in our trophy case as another one of these:
  3. I say we print off about 50 copies of NH's sig pic and plaster them all over Washington's locker room before that game. That way, their heads won't be in the game either.
  4. Hot Sauce? What happened to Snuffy?
  5. GAYS DEMAND EQUAL RIGHTS! (Wait... this is where the pride march starts, right guys?)
  6. Punt. Seriously, I'd like to see a diamond formation play action pass deep to a WR on a hitch 'n' go, but I can't see us taking UTC to the woodshed like that. I'm betting it'll be an I formation handoff to Rex up the middle for 4 or 5.
  7. You cannot pin the Offensive Line's failures on Shawn Watson. Watson was the OC first and QB coach second. His involvement in the actual factual coaching of the offensive line was minimal - or, to put it another way, it was about the same as his involvement in the coaching of the RBs and TEs, both units that excelled the last three years. If you're going to pin the O Line's failure on Watson, then you also have to pin the other units' successes on him, too. Reality says that Cotton is the single most responsible person for the performance of the O Line. This is a reality Bo cannot afford to ignore any longer, and if I'm reading the tea leaves correctly, he is addressing it with this move to the booth. Exactly. I assume that Watson was responsible for the blocking schemes for the plays he was running, but beyond that, the O line wasn't his baby, it was Cotton's.
  8. I'm kind of torn on that first statement. Looking back, there was only a handful of plays each game that, if they would've gone our way, would've changed the outcome of the game entirely. That said, a great team should never rely on "if only we'd have done this or that". Great teams will make mistakes, but they'll also overcome them. I definitely agree with the rest of waht you said though. Nebraska was a "good but flawed" team last year, not an elite team.
  9. Under... unless we somehow get a Big XII officiating crew in Lincoln on Saturday. O/U Brent Musburger using the word "folks" 30 times this weekend.
  10. I'd really like to see that. Watson never did enough to keep aggressive defenses honest, in fact a lot of times he ran Taylor right into the teeth of the defense. I have much more faith in Carnes than I had in Green (despite the fact that I've never even seen Brion Carnes play, which tells you about how much faith I had in Cody Green), but having an injured TMart can only make things worse. Though I haven't exactly heaped the praise on Taylor in the past, I think that if he's 100% healthy he can be a threat, but I have to see him at 100% health against a quality defense before I can say for sure. Screens and quick hits aren't going to guarantee he doesn't get hit, but it'll certainly help, and if done right could work very well.
  11. Off-topic but, as a Jags fan... I know how that guy feels.
  12. Both teams will be rusty. I'll agree that they won't score 50 points, but I don't expect them to try to. NU 45 UTC 10
  13. Over, under, over, under, over, under, respectively. O/U Kyler Reed 2 receiving touchdowns?
  14. I got your logical response right here. Wait for it... Here it comes... For real this time...
  15. Michael Slowey Zach Galifianakis Blake Coddington Chumlee Don Cope Bobby from King of the Hill
  16. Has ND expressed any interest in joining a conference? Last I knew, they were happy being independent.
  17. 1. Work with the running backs' ability to catch passes. 2. Run diamond formation on downs when we'd usually run, then shift one or two RBs up to the LOS at the last second and send them on a route. 3. Pray T-Mart throws an accurate pass. 4. ??????????? 5. PROFIT!
  18. I want to see penalties kept to a minimum, and absolutely NO TURNOVERS! Aside from that, all I want is a beatdown by the Huskers. If this game's close, I'm going to be very, very nervous about the rest of the season. Offensively and defensively, all I ask for is discipline. I'm not basing anything off of the first game against a weak non-conference opponent. I had a bad habit of expecting too much based on what I saw from the non-conference schedule when we were in the XII. I don't like setting myself up for disappointment.
  19. Oh but we're ignoring Roy Helu being cheap? Way to pay attention guys... But seriously, QB is the only position on the offense that I'm all that worried about. I think we have everything else in place.
