  1. Barring injury, I dont see Cross getting more than 15 percent of carries next year. Yes he cut and he gained speed, but lets not assume he can run like Helu just yet. He is still a big boy. With that said....we all crab about recruiting, but we stole this guy from tennessee a few days before signing day. Bigtime get.
  2. Husker Nation needs Dirk to keep us in check. We have a ridiculous ego as a fan base and we need one writer to keep us from going overboard.
  3. I work at complete nutrition. Most hgh/igf sprays are composed mostly of deer antler velvet. The function of such sprays are for a night time natural test boost. There is little evidence to prove it actually works but I will say one thing, it will give you intense, vivid dreams
  4. Read this boys and girls http://iowa.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=804&tid=160380125&mid=160380125&sid=940&style=2
  5. I am from Iowa City and I LOVED having you guys in town. At Brothers and DC's, which are a couple of the more popular bars, were all red all weekend. Iowa City has never been taken over like that. Iowa fans got a little chippy this weekend, I think they were a little offended. Go Big Red!
  6. Nobody needs to worry. I have worn a Nebraska shirt to EVERY game this year. Yes, I walk down Melrose in all red without fear. Yes, I wear red in the student section. Do I get sh#t talked? absolutely. Has my safety ever been threatened? Absolutely not. Iowa is bad and their fans know it. You guys dont have to worry. Wear red, wear it proud and show these hawk fans what it really means to have a travelling fan base.
  7. Here is a question...in the second half if ameer runs 2 kicks/punts backs and venrik marc only gets one, can a case be made for abdullah being returner of the year?

  9. Any news on tims recovery? What I really wonder is how he is going to fit in the offense. I think with the depth we have he may only get a touch or two his first game back. But regardless of how well turner is playing I think they still trust tim more and he is our number 3 guy.
  10. Bo says Rex day to day, week to week Marlowee has a broken clavicle Cotton had some rib issues, should be fine Ankrah is more than fine
  11. Avery moss is "as far along as any fr. D lineman I've ever coached" -papuchis Justin jackson has edge for center spot. He's a walk on I believe??? No word on redshirts for Armstrong or westerkamp Seisay has been slowed by ankle injury. I'm sure There is much more to come.
  12. As a voter its hard to not vote them in the top 15. They have showed consistency over the past few years, only losing 2 big ten games, @neb and @iowa. Theyve dominated the Michigan rivalry and beat wisconsin the last two years. But as you look at the top 15 its hard to look at some of those teams and say "theyre still gonna be here at the end of the year" I look at Georgia, Florida St, and Clemson off hand. Teams that have MAJOR talent and but never put it together. With the surplus of talent in college football there is a lot of parody, which is great for the sport. But the Alabama and LSU programs are just in a class of their own. I think people kind of hope that USC can end that SEC streak but to me its not likely.
  13. On the b10 preview show they mentioned us showing some 3-4 looks. Could we be slowly moving to a 3-4 base? I don't think we will use it very much this year, but with the plethora of bigtime linebackers we continue to sign, not to mention the massive DTs we brought In last year it sure makes sense. If we continue to bring in these types of players Why not? As a coach you want the best athletes on the field and tweak your schemes to get the most out of your personnel. Maybe this is a stretch, but I'm so damn excited I need something to discuss. 3-2-1 Go!
  14. Oh boy, I just dribbled in my pants a little bit. Thank you very much! I'll do some digging and get some phone numbers! I had tickets for the spring game, but that didnt work out too well. Woo-hoo!
  15. I'm heading to Omaha Tuesday and I'm going to finally make the trip to Mecca. I was wondering what kind of access is available? I'm taking my two younger brothers and I want it to be a special trip, but Im sure well be content with just some pictures. I can't imagine they would actually let us In the stadium, but is anything outside limited due to construction? Anything else i should know? Thanks
  16. "Thanks for posting it for us so we don't have to go hunting for it," Moiraine wished she was saying. Instagram isnt like Facebook or Twitter. It's a form of social networking that is strictly mobile. It does not allow you to save or copy/paste others' photos. I would have posted one if I was able to.
  17. I'm equally excited for both of them. My prediction is that each guy gets two years as starter. Armstrong won't redshirt and will start his Junior and Senior years after Martinez leaves. Stanton will redshirt and start his Junior and Senior years after Armstrong leaves. My plan is foolproof (until one of them transfers and/or ends up sucking). As long as neither of them become a bust (to me more likely than a transfer) then yes this would work out perfectly. I think this shows the strides we are making as a program. We are no longer forced to start underclassmen at vital positions. Strong depth and thr ability to reload year after year are the keys to becoming a powerhouse again.
  18. so do teams who play him in the national championship. Touche, good sir
  19. I don't think this is really worthy of starting a new topic, considering Stanton hasn't even stepped on campus yet but as a fan base who are we more excited for? Armstrong or Stanton? On another note, I hate tebow. But a comparison to Tebow is something that can get national recognition. If he ends up becoming a starter some day and performs well, Johnny Tebow will become a household name. Nicknames have a tendency to make noise in college football ie "shoelace"
  20. Not sure if this belongs here or In johnnys recruiting profile....but enjoy Dilfer has a man crush on Stanton btw. http://espn.go.com/high-school/football/video/clip?id=8247899
  21. Okay, well i take back everything I said. I just saw a picture on jamal turner's instagram that showed Taylor in our alternate uni top. It looks awesome. That video and those pictures do not do those unis any justice. Can't wait for 9/29.
  22. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/blog/bruce-feldman/19746314/top-10-list-college-footballs-most-valuable-non-qbs 6. Rex Burkhead. Nebraska, RB: You certainly could make a case that Burkhead is even more valuable to his offense than some of the other RBs are on this list above him are to theirs. The guy did rush for 1,357 yards last season. Next best among Husker RBs was Ameer Abdullah's 150. Burkhead's presence makes Taylor Martinez so much more dangerous. My reason why Burkhead's not even higher is, like with Stepfan Taylor, I'm not sold his team has the potential to be a Top 10 team this season even if he has a great year.
  23. I have actually never been to a live husker game. Been stuck in Iowa city as a broke college kid. Here's my dilemma. I'm going to the heroes game in kinnick regardless. But should i go to the Wisconsin game this year? Or wait until Iowa next year so i can visit memorial after the east stadium Is done? Decisions, decisions.
  24. Do the numbers for ameer reflect the muffed punts?
