  1. no one should complain about this call, if they didn't complain about the call against Stafford getting SHOVED into the runner out of bounds that resulted in a personal foul. That call led to an MSU touchdown. The two bad calls cancel each other out, resulting in the same NU win.
  2. we used a diamond formation with our receivers on the left side that worked pretty well a couple of games ago. We need to employ that type of screen more often
  3. this team will not give up even if the ref's are horrible. T-Mart is a flat out stud running the ball. Our Blackshirts have come a long way since the beginning of the year.
  4. There are only 2 teams who could have a chance in beating 'Bama in my opinion, Oregon and K-State. Notre Dame isn't good enough to put points up against 'Bama, only reason I am leaving them out of having a chance. If you go to that game, you should have a blast. I love going to other team games, just to see how the atmosphere is, and experience how they do things. KState cannot beat Alabama. Only Oregon has a chance.
  5. Don't get too down, man. Most coach criticism, especially of offensive coordinators, is irrational. Everybody plays Madden and thus we are all OCs from the sofa. I will say I'm stunned that Gardner didn't get in after Robinson went down, considering he has experience as a backup last year, and the kid they threw there instead was a redshirt freshman who totally flopped. But you guys were going up against a good defense, and it was an inconclusive battle before Denard went out. That guy is the whole offense. It's not like Borges failed to put Bellomy in a position to succeed. Not sure anything coulda been done about him MM - Borges had his mistakes in this game, but he called some pretty easy pass plays for Bellomy to throw, and he just threw up all over himself, missing some easy throws. this could have very well bee a much closer game if he had performed even a little better. Good luck the rest of the way!
  6. Congratulations to the new Blackshirts! This was an impressive performance. I love the aggressiveness that has emerged. We look like a much more dangerous defense when we play angry.
  7. I want OU to win. I f'ing son of a bitchin mother f'ing hate Notre Dame with every fibre of my being. boomer sooner baby! I hate the domers!
  8. I don't think so....he needs to get some PT! The guy can get yards!
  9. would like to see us try to run outside the tackles. We have been going between them all night and it is not there
  10. keep this up and the blackshirts will be handed out after the game!
  11. Their defense is good, but really only on pass defense. Their rushing defense ranks 7th in the B1G. That plays right to our strength. This can shorten the game and limit the number of touches Denard has.
  12. If the word bothers you so much, feel free to ignore my posts. Then you'll never see it from me again. I'm guessing you didn't see the thread where I used "increased" vocabulary and was accused of trying to make myself sound overly intelligent by a troll. I'd say the word retard is a very accurate description for the state Huskerboard finds itself in on an all too often basis lately, and since I didn't directly call anyone a retard, it's not against board rules. Thanks. blah blah blah! You don't have to specifically call someone the word to have it be offensive. I can think of a lot of sentences that can be used with the n-word that, if used, would be offensive. The point is that it is an offensive word. We are just saying be careful with the terms you use, that's all. This one singles out a group of individuals and has connotations of being a lesser person. BTW - I have a son who has cerebral palsy who, if this were a different time, would have been relegated to lesser classes. We taught him how he needs to study differently that others. He graduated high school with a 4.0 in advanced classes, and continues that 4.0 into his junior year in college majoring in Actuarial Sciences. Just saying he would have been someone in that "retard" classification when he was young.
  13. agree that his last couple of classes are much better. But how many of these are currently seeing MEANINGFUL playing time? 3, maybe 4? If they are that good, then get them on the field. On coaching change: I still think Bo is our guy. He has brought us a long way from the Clownahan days. However, someone needs to tell him to stop pouting after losses and practice what he preaches. He blames losses on execution, but he does not execute with the media after losses. Take the diapers off and grow up a little Bo. As for coaches if it is not Bo: I like what Art Briles has done at Baylor. Think about what they were prior to him coming there. From embarrassment to dangerous. I also like Peterson. His brand of football would seem to mesh with Nebraska's.
  14. What team are you watching? The right side of the OL just plane STINKS and Quale couldm't block my grandmother. We are 5th in the nation in rushing due to our I-Backs and a bunch of long plays against inferior opponents. Cotton has to go and hopefully with a new AD who has no emotional ties to a former player we can be rid of this guy and his accomplice the S & C coach. I'm just really tired of seeing O-linemen standing around after Taylor or one of the backs gets taken down for a loss, a short gain or a give away. My hat will be off when BC is on a bus out of town. T_O_B G>B>R The line may be "better", but it is still not good. Tackles played matador blocking scheme last night. 'OLE!
  15. Our offensive tackles got schooled last night! How many whiffs did ABC replay?? Qvale just completely crapped his pants last night. Between going matador on the D-ends, he also had too many penalties. I am starting to think we make things way too complicated on D-fense. We look lost out there and everyone is trying to talk to each other. It looks like there is no leadership out there. POSITIVES ON OFFENSE: Braylon Heard looked pretty darn good. He needs more touches. We need to execute more plays for Turner. He did look electric the few times he touched the ball. POSITIVES ON DEFENSE: E-mart played with passion and had a good game overall. Would love to see more of him and Ankrah on the field at the same time and bench Camstache. SJB is really coming along. Nothing spectacular, but he really looks like a DB now. Should warrant more playing time for him.
  16. New AD will give him at least a year. I still think a lot of our issues are due to two factors: 1 - we have two very young coordinators. I have to believe that if we had experience and talent at these two coaching positions, we would have performed better. I am not saying that they won't be very good down the road, but this should not be a school where we get someone's feet wet, we should be a destination location. 2 - we don't have enough top notch talent, and the few we do have are not being developed quick enough. Why is it our 4* recruits take so long to have an impact? Yet we see time and time again 4* athletes from other schools doing fantastic things? Do you think the word is out there that if you go to NU, you won't be developed? If I were a coach on the recruiting trail, I would be saying "look, we get our young talent on the field. If you go to NU, you will have to 'wait your turn' no matter what. And if you get some time, it will be garbage time, wasting your redshirt."
