Watching the Semper Fi game, Cochran is one BIG dude. Also...I hope like hell we go after Qualls as hard as we can. The kid is an athlete at his size.

I can't wait until we hire you as the RC since you have such a great idea of how to build a successful team and are able to evaluate talent so well based on a recruiting site or two. Your act is old. Like this kid's film. Is he a five star kid? No. But for some reason, I'll bet you if he were a 3 star kid amd people watched his film. They would be impressed. The fact that someone above said he's Badet's teammate tells me the staff has probably known about him for awhile. He gave an interview and had said that the coaches have been talking to him for awhile now. They asked him to send them his senior film when his season gets done so they can further evaluate him. He said Bo called him and offered him and said that they are taking 2 more DTs and would like him to be one of them.

Most of this talent is unproven, so we should hold back our excitement a little.... It might be unproven to a point but there is no reason why we can't get excited about the thoughts of these guys coming in and playing. If you look at the players on that list, especially the skilled players, there is plenty to get excited about. Some of them have shown us what they can do already and others have been highly recruited which is a good indication that they are good players.

My wife started watching Hart of Dixie...It's not to bad from what I have seen. The best part is that it has Rachel Bilson in it.

I would say we had 2 and a half ugly loses this year. I would not call thet bowl game an ugly lose and the UCLA game could be a toss up. Both games we were in it till the end.

I think you guys are a bit too late to the party with Newby as well. Literally the only factor with him not committing to NU as it stands is distance from home. His parents feel very comfortable with Coach Pelini and that factor has subsided. UCLA is one of the only challengers for him. Don't believe he will go anywhere but NU or UCLA. I read that Collins has a really good relationship with Bielema and that he is scheduled to visit Arky on 1/25. This could help us with Newby if Bielema can get Collins.

Last I read, Smythe was all Stanford...This would be a great if we can get him to visit and give us a chance at him.

This makes the third kid we have offered from this school this year. That has got to be one hell of a team with that many D1 prospects with the offer lists they have.

. . . or you could obey the speed limit? Not sure how this gets to Big Brother levels. Only old people go the speed limit. It's big brotheresque because we wouldn't know exactly what information are in those black boxes. Living next to a Retirement villiage, I see about half of the (other) fogeys driving under the speed limit instead of 9mph over like the rest of us want to go. But 90 percent of the time there's a slowpoke in ALL the frikken lanes slowing down the rush hour traffic it's some DITWAD texting someone or leaning on their right shoulder while talking on their "smart" phone. ^^^^ this! You last sentence makes me swerve at them on purpose. I get next to them, see them on their phone while going 52 in a 65 and I snuggle up quite close to them. Funny thing is, when they finally realize how close I am, they quickly swerve to the shoulder thinking it was them swerving into me! It pisses me off so much when I see people texting/talking while they are driving that I usually will roll down my window and throw my beer can at them.

What would people think if college teams played another team for their spring game? Say we play OU at our house and then the next, play there. As far as money, pay their expenses to come here and nothing more and then they would do the same for us. They could allow true freshman to play and not go against their eligibilty for the up coming season. I doubt the NCAA would allow it but it would be kinda nice.

If Tyner is wavering b/c Kelly might be leaving then why would Newby be all of a sudden wanting to go to Oregon. In fact, when a head coach is rumored to be leaving for another job it makes committed recruits waver and non-committed recruits cross them off their list. I would say Kelly rumors would help us b/c Newby isn't going to want to go to Oregon with all the question marks with a new coach. Maybe because Oregon is closer to home and he likes the school enough to not care who the coach will be if Kelly leaves. I don't think Kelly will leave personally and I think Newby will be N when all said and done.

I would keep an eye on Oregon. It sounds like one of their backs, Tyner, might be waivering cause of the Chip Kelly rumors of him going to the NFL.

Can't find it now but I believe I read on ESPN that Ohio State was after him as well. It was on 247 and it stated that Urbs was out to visit him last week.

Maybe Bradley was #2 behind Johnson on our list and not Hooks or Russell? I have no idea but with what MLB posted, makes a guy wonder.

The thing people don't understand is that I don't disagree with the entire star system. I don't. But when you see tell tale signs of players not being worth their ratings you have to begin to discount them. For example, we took Singleton's commitment right away and I don't believe we would accept a commitment from DaShaun Hunt anymore. People need to stop being driveby recruiting fans. If they would actually follow it, they would know that we have done very well getting these kids. EZ...Do you like Singleton better then Hunt? I like realize they don't play the same position but Singleton seems like the better all around athlete to me.

I heard he was going with Saban to Cleveland and be his DC. Who know I guess.

Whitaker picked us over Oregon, not Alexander. Whitaker didn't send out film to schools so he wasn't recruited very much until he got noticed by coaches from watching other players film. He will be a monster when it is all said and done. His film was one of the most impressive out of ANY olinemans in last years class.

This guy could be our Hagg type player for us. Has great size and speed already but his hs coach thinks he could get bigger with his frame.

Many, many people in this world make well over $250k and work less than 40 hours a week. Btw im pretty sure most of our asst coaches make less than $200k. Also, Hedley, as soon as you plundered this board i could tell you were a lonely child and dont care much about family. That doesnt mean most real human beings dont. You should change your name to Number 5. I'd have to look it up, but I believe our assistants are paid quite competitively. At least compared to the Big 12 assistants. Garrison is our lowest paid assistant at 160k if I'm not mistaken That still doesn't give you the right to post something utterly stupid...these coaches work their asses off and are away from their families...Family is worth more then money in my opinion.
