  1. One of the best signs I have ever read was in a chinese resturant. It was posted on a gumball machine and it read: maseen no work
  2. Nah, the "Jamal drill" is enough The drops weren't isolated to Kinnie. Plenty of guys got flak for it. Some of it is fair, some of it was for plays where it was a really tough to catch ball. But I think even the ones where it hits the guy in his hands and it drops - yes, that's his fault. But it also shows a lack of trust between QB and WR. And it goes back to an inconsistent ball coming from the QB, in my opinion. There's a little bit of both. Ridiculous. There doesn't need to be any cum-bye-ya karma between the qb & wr. The ball hits the wr's hands, he supposed to catch it. Period. zoogies is right with the "little bit of both" idea. There has to be the thought running in a WR head that: "when I break off to run my 'in route', my QB will hit me in stride." The fact that Taylor can't do that 7-8 times out of 10 adds that thought of "where is the ball going to be" into the wide out's mind. Much in the same light, Taylor wasn't helped out a lot by his receivers dropping a lot of easy catches. Taylor isn't devoid of all the blame, but he definitely doesn't deserve as much of it as he is getting. I think this is exactly correct. There are two people involved to make a completion happen (I know that is over simplying, but the simple idea is throw and catch). I have a couple of simple questions for those who so readily condem the receivers. 1. Have you ever caught a football, in a game? 2. Name five truly great receivers who had poor throwing QBs. Someone mentioned Blackman, how good would he be without Weeden? The point is, that even though we do have a lot of drops (that's undeniable), the consistent delivery of the football by the QB is a big factor in the overall succes of the passing game. Blackman would be they same with or without Weeden. He is a great receiver because he catches everything that he should and even catches ones that are way off. Look at Calvin Johnson with Detroit, He went to GT where they had a piss poor throwing QB but yet was a great receiver because of the catches and plays he made.
  3. Possibly told him about some guys that are commiting aqnd just haven't announced it yet?
  4. And I believe they only have 17 schollies available...Another thing Bama does that is BS is that they force guys into medical schollies even if the said player isn't really hurt. Since Satan has been there, they have put 15 or 16 guys on medical schollies to free up ones to give to the new recruits. This is more then all the other SEC teams combined. I wasn't even sure what their supposed allotment was but Saban ought to be winning championships with this practice. Think his class next year will look different after the oversigning rules go into effect? We'll see... New oversigning rules? Haven't heard of that... whats this? They can only have a class of 25 and can not back count. Back counting is them getting a recruit that comes in before spring ball and can go against the previous years class instead of the year that they are recruiting.

  6. Why do these teams improve but we don't? This has been a theme for some people on huskerboard for awhile now and it is somewhat rediculous. You guys are looking at it one way and that is it. If you are going to saty that we are losing this player and that player and are going to suck, you need to look at who these other teams are losing as well.
  7. and his bro is taking along...... This concerns me...No parents?
  8. Can we back off the hype for one recruiting cycle? I don't see a problem with what she said. Rose is a very good player as is Zaire and that could lead us to having two guys like Lavonte at the backer spots at the same time. Every year we have a group of guys that could lead us to something...the vast majority of which lead us nowhere . Rose certainly looks to be a spectacular player - but to compare him to one of the best linebackers in the last couple of decades and imply we'll have not one, but 2 or 3 on the field is a slap in the face to David...and likely sets yourself up for disapointment. We've had 1 in the last 15 years, why would we have 3 in the next couple years? IMO, this kid hasn't earned a thing in D1 yet, when he does then we start the hype. i understand what you are saying, but the key word is COULD. I'm not saying it will happen, neither was she, but it might. When was the last time we have had a recruit play that good in an all star game. That is what gives me hope that Rose could be as good as Vonte in the future.
  9. Even when Armstrong throws off his back foot, his release point is more forward then Taylors and the ball doesn't have that rainbow effect. Tommy is further along on his passing mechanics then what Taylor is now and should continue to get better as he gets more reps with Beck or a QB coach over the summer.

  11. Evan played LG during the UA game and was next to Peat. They controled that side easily. The thought of those two playing together gives me wood. no homo
  12. I would say he was the most impressive besides Fowler Jr.
  13. And that DE is ESPNs #1 ranked player.
  14. He is going against Mario Edwards Jr. and is pushing him around. This kid could be something very special before it is all said and done
  15. We should take up underwater basket weaving and cancel football. THAT would be fun to watch
  16. And off into the sunset, never to be heard of again.
  17. Where in this thread has anyone said that Bo should be gone? You seem a little sensitive, lol. There was a point brought up about us playing for NC's in every decade since the 70's, which is interesting. We have gone over a decade since NEBRASKA, not Bo, has played for a NC. It seems to be a curios question as to when, since the streak began, we have gone 10 years without playing for a NC. If you read this a Bo needs to be fired, you must not read well, lol. I made a simple remark of my opinion. It had nothing to do with what was said in the op. My patience is in fact running low with the unrealistic expectations of so many "fans". No, these arguments are not at the op of this thread, just to so many fans in general. There was a thread titled "Bo should go" after the northwestern game, with many replying in the affirmative. I understand your calling me out on my opinions and that is fine, but my statement is not out of the blue that such a thing has never been stated. I was basically responding to the second post that basically stated that it is unaccpetable for us to wait till 2027 to play for a title, allowing Bo to build for 15 years to do, when it's already been 10 since the last time. I dont see how it's Bo's fault that the 10 years previous to his reign were so demising that it may even be incorrectible. We dont know that. This place has had so much success that came from Mystique alone. Last decade we lost that mystique. Everything was thrown out that made it special here. We lost the edge of playing at home and still havent gotten back. People are not afraid of us anymore. Teams dont come into Memorial Stadium with doubt in their minds, now they roll in with confidence. My point is Bo took over a program that was severly beatin' down, Osborne and Solich each took over established national powerhouses. It's simply gonna take time to reestablish the things that made this place great. Unil then 9-10 wins and an occasional conference championship game should have to do. Hence, I disagree with those wanting to start over again with a different coach. Other points are on the coaching staff being so young and inexperiences. Tom's staff late in his career was a bunch of guys that had been with him for a long time, so I'm sure when they were hired they were inexperienced. I just believe Bo is building for a long-term future, and I know that's tough for our "win now" society, but hopefully everyone will learn to sit back, roll with it, and let something great develop. Great post...I made this same statement not to long ago and agree that we need to relax and let the coaches do their jobs they way they know how and the way they want.
  18. this team lost 3 REALLY GOOD players on defense........no way do we improve......i predicted 4 losses this season, i expect 5 losses next season, especially after listening to Corey Raymond's comments....... And the other teams don't lose players?
  19. Who gives a crap if Pelini yells.
